Alie-Cox did not have a reception despite four targets in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to Tennessee.

Alie-Cox played on 39 of the offense's 80 snaps and went out for a pass on 25 plays, both about his season average. It was Jack Doyle who had a touchdown catch in the loss despite Alie-Cox having four touchdowns in his last four games. Still, there wasn't a significant change in either tight end's workload, so we wouldn't be too worried about his lack of receptions. Alie-Cox is a red-zone threat, but his upside is limited given his low target share.

Hurst caught two of his three targets for four yards during the Falcons' 19-13 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.

Hurst continues to operate as the No. 2 tight end behind Kyle Pitts, which garners him plenty of playing time but little production. Barring injuries, he likely won't be a reliable fantasy option this year.

Sweeney caught three of four targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 26-11 win over Miami.

Sweeney saw 82 percent of the offensive snaps as the No. 1 tight end while starter Dawson Knox heals up from a broken hand. Knox, currently labeled day-to-day by coach Sean McDermott, could return within the next game or two, so Sweeney's window of opportunity may be closing quickly. Even if Knox needs to sit out another week, Sweeney seems like more of a touchdown-dependent option on a team with plenty of other weapons.

Head coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Knox (hand) is improving and viewed as day to day, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

After fracturing his hand in a Week 6 loss to the Titans, Knox underwent surgery soon after and wasn't available for Sunday's win over the Dolphins, even with the benefit of the Bills being on bye Week 7. Though Knox seems to be healing as expected, McDermott wouldn't promise that the tight end would be available to practice this week. Knox likely would need to get back on the field as at least a limited practice participant by Friday to have a legitimate shot at suiting up next weekend in Jacksonville. Tommy Sweeney served as the primary replacement for Knox in Week 8, recording three receptions for 30 yards on four targets.

The Packers placed Tonyan (knee) on injured reserve Monday.

Tonyan's move to IR was fully expected after head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed over the weekend that the tight end suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the Packers' Week 8 win over the Cardinals. On Monday, LaFleur named Josiah Deguara as a candidate to take on an increased role sans Tonyan, while Marcedes Lewis and Dominique Dafney are also likely to see upticks in snaps at tight end.

Smith was on the field for 49 of a possible 77 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Chargers, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

In the process, Smith caught both of his targets for 13 yards, while fellow tight end Hunter Henry (50 snaps) recorded one catch for 33 yards on three targets. In the context of working in a timeshare, Smith continues to profile as a hit-or-miss fantasy option as this coming Sunday's game against the Panthers approaches.

Henry logged 50 of a possible 77 snaps on offense, en route to catching one of his three targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Chargers, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Meanwhile, fellow tight end Jonnu Smith was out there for 49 snaps and caught both of his targets for 13 yards. Henry headed into Week 8 action in the midst of a four-game scoring streak, though that came to a harsh halt. Looking ahead to next Sunday's game against the Panthers, he profiles as a TD-dependent fantasy option while operating in a timeshare.

Kroft (back) caught both of his targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-31 win over the Bengals.

Kroft was quiet for most of the game in his first action since Week 4, but he stepped up when it mattered most, securing the game-winning 13-yard touchdown with 3:45 remaining. The 29-year-old tight end had scored eight of his previous 12 career touchdowns for the Bengals, and his first as a Jet helped his new team pull off a shocking upset over his former squad.

Hill (concussion) is on schedule in his recovery process, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.

Hill suffered a concussion in Week 5 and still hasn't returned to practice. However, coach Sean Payton sounded pleased with the quarterback's progress in his recovery Monday. Hill is a strong candidate to start at quarterback once he's cleared to return since Jameis Winston suffered a torn ACL on Sunday, but Payton declined to name a starting quarterback Monday.

Gentry hauled in three of five targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Browns.

Gentry had increased playing time against Cleveland with Eric Ebron (hamstring) out, and he was on the field for a season-high 45 offensive snaps. His target share should decrease once Ebron returns, but the 2019 fifth-rounder has hauled in six of nine targets for 60 yards to begin the year.
