  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Falcons' Hayden Hurst: Shifts to IR

The Falcons placed Hurst (ankle) on injured reserve Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.

The Falcons had already ruled Hurst out ahead of Thursday's game against the Buccaneers after the ankle issue rendered him a non-participant in practices Monday through Wednesday. After further evaluation of the tight end, however, Atlanta determined it was best to shut Hurst down for two more games beyond Thursday. The blocking-oriented Lee Smith should step in as the No. 2 tight end behind starter and pass-catching specialist Kyle Pitts.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: Not at practice again

Hill (foot) isn't practicing Thursday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

The Saints have already committed to Trevor Siemian making his third consecutive start at quarterback Sunday in Philadelphia, but if available, Hill will still have a role as a gadget player in the Saints' game plan. At least for the time being, Hill's status for the team's matchup with the Eagles is up in the air, as he's now missed consecutive practices on account of the foot injury. He'll likely need to return to practice Friday as a full participant to avoid taking an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Kaden Smith TE | WAS

Giants' Kaden Smith: Still sidelined by knee injury

Smith (knee) didn't practice Thursday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.

Smith exited New York's Week 9 win over the Raiders, and he apparently isn't ready to resume practicing, even after the Giants' Week 10 bye. The third-string tight end will have an extra day to get healthy, as the Giants don't play until Monday; however, even that may not be enough if he doesn't return to practice soon.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Back at practice Thursday

Goedert (concussion) returned to practice Thursday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Goedert was removed from the first half of the Eagles' Week 10 win at Denver to be evaluated for a concussion, which eventually was confirmed. He was unable to practice Wednesday, but his activity Thursday included positional drills, at the very least. Philadelphia's second injury report of the week will reveal approximately where Goedert stands in the protocol for head injuries.

  • Football Team's Ricky Seals-Jones: Sits out another practice

Seals-Jones (hip) was working off to the side with trainers during Thursday's practice and will be listed as a non-participant, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

With two absences from practice to begin Week 11 prep, Seals-Jones is likely trending toward an inactive status for Sunday's game in Carolina. Seals-Jones has started in each of Washington's last six games while Logan Thomas (hamstring) has been on injured reserve, but for the first time all season, the Football Team may have to lean more heavily on unproven tight ends John Bates and Sammis Reyes this weekend. Thomas has been spotted rehabbing on a side field the past two days, but since Washington has yet to clear him to practice six weeks after injuring his hamstring, he's unlikely to suit up against the Panthers.

  • Tommy Hudson TE | NO

Titans' Tommy Hudson: Gets designated to return from IR

The Titans designated Hudson (ankle) to return from injured reserve Wednesday.

Hudson first suffered his ankle injury early in October as he was carted off the field. After landing on injured reserve, the tight end is expected to get activated to the Titans' active roster at some point in the next three weeks. Hudson's return won't have much of an impact on the Titans' offense.

  • Packers' Dominique Dafney: Records full practice Wednesday

Dafney (hamstring) was able to record a full practice for the Packers on Wednesday.

Dafney was unable to suit up in Week 10 after not practicing all week due to his hamstring injury. Expect the tight end to make his return to the field in Week 11 when the Packers take on the Vikings on Sunday.

  • Pharaoh Brown TE | IND

Texans' Pharaoh Brown: Limited in practice Wednesday

Brown (thigh) was listed as a limited participant for the Texans' practice Wednesday.

Brown has missed the Texan's last two games as he's been dealing with a thigh injury he suffered before Week 8. The tight end will look to make his return to the field in Week 11 against the Titans on Sunday.

  • Lawrence Cager TE | WAS

Lawrence Cager: Back to practice squad

The Browns restored Cager to their practice squad Wednesday after he spent time on Cleveland's reserve/COVID-19 list, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Cager landed on the Browns' reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for COVID-19 before Week 10. After missing time over the last week, the receiver will return to the Browns' practices as soon as possible.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Seahawks' Gerald Everett: Tending to groin injury

Everett was unable to practice Wednesday due to a groin injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Aside from sitting out Weeks 4 and 5 after contracting COVID-19, Everett has been healthy this season and earned at least 70 percent of offensive snaps in five of his seven appearances with the Seahawks. The results have been hit or miss on his way to a 22-198-1 receiving line on 25 targets. Everett is coming off season highs in catches (eight) and yards (63) during Sunday's loss at Green Bay, but he now is dealing with an injury. The fifth-year tight end has two more chances this week to return to the practice field.
