  • Daniel Helm TE | DET

49ers' Daniel Helm: Joins 53-man roster

The 49ers signed Helm to the active roster from the practice squad Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Helm's promotion stems from the placement of Garrett Celek (back) on injured reserve. The undrafted rookie out of Duke will slot in as the No. 4 tight end on San Francisco's roster.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Remains limited at practice

Engram (foot) was limited at practice Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Back-to-back limited sessions are encouraging with regard to the tight end's Week 15 status, but Engram would likely have to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday's game against the Dolphins minus an injury designation.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Leaning toward playing

Andrews (knee) is expected to attempt to play Thursday night against the Jets, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Andrews was able to take the practice field on a limited basis for consecutive sessions, but officially enters the week with a "questionable" tag. The Ravens are double-digit favorites and are a team with plenty of depth at the position, so while a conservative approach for Andrews might make sense, it seems he's physically healthy enough to go. Stay tuned for the official inactives list roughly 90 minutes prior to the 8:20 p.m. EST kickoff.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: In line to practice Thursday

Engram (foot) will attempt to practice Thursday according to coach Pat Shurmur, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Engram logged a limited session Wednesday, but presumably needs to log a full workload at least one day if he intends to gain clearance to suit up for the first time since Week 9. It appears he's on the right track, but stay tuned for the official practice report.

  • Eric Tomlinson TE | LAC

Raiders' Eric Tomlinson: Signs with Raiders

Tomlinson was signed by the Raiders on Wednesday.

Tomlinson spent time with both the Giants and Patriots earlier this season, but the reserve tight end saw just one target in five total games. The Raiders have been forced to bolster their depth at the position in a timely manner after placing rookie Foster Moreau (knee) on IR this week.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

    Rams' Gerald Everett: Still day-to-day

Coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that Everett (knee) is still considered "day-to-day," Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.

McVay added that Everett is making progress in his recovery, but the coach noted that the third-year tight end is "not ready to get out there and practice" yet. Everett has missed two straight games while nursing a hyperextended knee and looks at risk of sitting out again Sunday in Dallas. If that's the case, Tyler Higbee -- who eclipsed 100 yards in both of the games Everett missed -- would once again dominate the snaps at tight end.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Browns' David Njoku: Limited by knee issue

Njoku was limited at practice Wednesday due to a knee issue, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

In his return to action from a wrist injury in the Week 14 win over the Bengals, Njoku played 20 out of the Browns' 54 offensive snaps, catching one of his three targets for a four-yard gain. Now the tight end is contending with a new injury, but at this stage it's unknown whether he's dealing with something minor or managing an issue that cropped up at practice Wednesday.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

    Packers' Jimmy Graham: Limited Wednesday

Graham (wrist) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

Graham put together one-catch performances in both of the Packers' two post-bye week contests, but this past Sunday against the Redskins, he bounced back with three receptions for 49 yards across five targets. His practice reps are capped on a weekly basis, so there's little worry about his availability for a matchup with the Bears this weekend.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Questionable to face Jets

Andrews (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's contest against the Jets, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

After being listed as a non-participant Monday on the Ravens' first injury report, Andrew upgraded to limited activity Tuesday and Wednesday. Though the Ravens are facing a quick turnaround for the Week 15 matchup, Andrews appears to be trending in the right direction to play. In the event Andrews is a surprise inactive Thursday or is limited in the contest, Hayden Hurst would presumably step in as the Ravens' top pass-catching tight end.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Broncos' Noah Fant: Missing practice Wednesday

Fant (foot/hip) won't practice Wednesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

The reports adds that coach Vic Fangio is optimistic about the tight end's outlook in advance of Sunday's game against the Chiefs, but it would certainly be encouraging to those considering Fant in Week 15 lineups if he returned to the practice field in some capacity Thursday.
