  • Josh Oliver TE | MIN

Jaguars' Josh Oliver: NFL debut on hold

Oliver (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game versus the Titans, Phillip Heilman of The Athletic reports.

Oliver didn't practice all week, and he will continue to put off his NFL debut as he recovers from the hamstring injury he suffered in August. Once he's healthy, the Jaguars are expected to ease him into the rotation as a pass-catcher since he posted 56 receptions for 709 yards and four scores in his final collegiate season for San Jose State.

  • Giants' Garrett Dickerson: Returns to practice

Dickerson (quadriceps) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Dickerson missed the first two games and all the practices leading up to them, so his appearance Wednesday, albeit limited, is a positive sign. The second-year pro will stick to a run-blocking role if he's able to suit up Sunday versus the Buccaneers.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Missing practice Wednesday

Andrews (foot) is not practicing Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Andrews headed into this past Sunday's game against the Cardinals with a questionable designation after missing the Ravens' final practice of the week, but he was able to suit up for the contest, en route to logging 42 snaps on offense and a 8/112/1 stat line. With no setbacks having been reported, the tight end's absence from practice Wednesday may be maintenance-related.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: May split work with Bridgewater

Hill may work in tandem with Teddy Bridgewater on Sunday, as opposed to backing him up, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports. When asked about Hill's outlook ahead of Week 3, head coach Sean Payton said, "You're assuming he's the No. 2."

Payton further added, "We'll approach this game with two quarterbacks. We'll have the right plan relative to what those guys are going to be doing." It's certainly not a vote of confidence for Teddy Bridgewater, who figured to get the outright starting nod in Drew Brees' (thumb) absence. The multi-faceted Hill should be picked up in leagues where lineups employ two quarterbacks or a superflex position, as his role may be more prominent than previously expected.

  • David Njoku TE | LAC

Browns' David Njoku: Recovering from concussion

Njoku (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday, Pat McManamon of The Athletic reports.

This was a foregone conclusion after the tight end suffered a concussion early in Monday's 23-3 win over the Jets. If Njoku can't clear the protocol ahead of Sunday's game against Los Angeles, the Browns would turn to Demetrius Harris as their top tight end.

  • Tyler Kroft TE | MIA

    Bills' Tyler Kroft: Practicing fully

Kroft (foot) will practice without any limitations Wednesday, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.

The full participation hints at a return for Sunday's game against Cincinnati, following limited participation in every practice last week. Given the length of Kroft's absence, the Bills will need to monitor how he looks on the practice field before they clear him to play Week 3.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Not ruled out for Week 3

Coach Doug Pederson called Goedert (calf) day-to-day prior to Wednesday's practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Pederson said the same thing about all his injured players on offense -- DeSean Jackson (abdomen), Alshon Jeffery (calf) and Corey Clement (shoulder) -- even though other reports suggest Jackson and Clement will miss at least one or two games. Jeffery and Goedert might be closer to questionable for Sunday's matchup with Detroit, though it isn't a great sign for the latter that the Eagles already promoted fellow tight end Alex Ellis from the practice squad.

  • Zach Ertz TE | WAS

Eagles' Zach Ertz: Primed for huge volume

Ertz and Nelson Agholor are expected to draw increased attention from Carson Wentz while fellow pass catchers DeSean Jackson (abdomen), Alshon Jeffery (calf) and Dallas Goedert (calf) recover from injuries, Lauren Williams of MLive.com reports.

With Goedert, Jackson and Jeffery all unavailable for the majority of Sunday's 24-20 loss to Atlanta, Ertz reached 16 targets for the sixth time in his career. Every previous instance resulted in triple-digit yardage, but the Falcons held him to eight catches for 72 yards. Ertz and Agholor should be busy once again Sunday against the Lions, but they'll also draw a lot of attention from the defense.

  • Drew Belcher TE | WAS

Drew Belcher: Added to Redskins' practice squad

Belcher was added to Washington's practice squad Tuesday.

Belcher, 23, went undrafted back in April but did sign with Arizona as an undrafted free agent. Now a member of Washington's practice squad, it's unlikely he'll see any game action unless injuries force the Redskins' hand.

  • Mo Alie-Cox TE | IND

Colts' Mo Alie-Cox: Catchless in win

Alie-Cox did not catch his only target during Sunday's 19-17 win over the Titans.

Alie-Cox was solid for a TE3 in 2018, managing two scores in eight games catching passes from Andrew Luck. It's a new situation with Jacoby Brissett under center, but the competition with Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle remains. A solid TE3 is still too low a bar to warrant fantasy consideration.
