Josh Oliver TE | MIN
Jaguars' Josh Oliver: Remains sidelined Week 5
Oliver (hamstring) was ruled out for Sunday's game at Carolina.
Oliver was a limited participant at practice this week and will miss his fifth straight game with the hamstring injury. The rookie third-round pick will likely need to advance to full practice participation before having a chance to take the field. James O'Shaughnessy and Geoff Swaim will continue to work as the Jaguars' top two tight ends.

Chris Manhertz TE | NYG
Panthers' Chris Manhertz: Won't play Sunday
Manhertz (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Jaguars, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Manhertz wasn't able to clear concussion protocol, so he'll miss his first game since entering the league in 2017. He's deployed mainly in a blocking role, so his absence will affect the Panthers' run game more than their pass game. Manhertz will look to shake this injury ahead of Week 6's game versus the Buccaneers.

Will Dissly TE | LAC
Seahawks' Will Dissly: Leads squad in receiving yards
Dissly caught all four of his targets for 81 yards in Thursday's 30-29 win over the Rams.
This was Dissly's season high in receiving yards, and his night was highlighted by a 38-yard reception that set up Tyler Lockett's 13-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. The second-year pro continues to be one of Russell Wilson's favorite targets, as he garnered 14.1 percent of Wilson's attempts in this outing. Dissly continues to make use of his chances as well, hauling in 23 of 26 targets (88.5 percent) for 11.4 YPC.

Tyler Higbee TE | LAR
Rams' Tyler Higbee: Trio of grabs in close loss
Higbee secured all three targets for 47 yards in the Rams' 30-29 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday.
Higbee saw fellow tight end Gerald Everett pace the Rams with a career-high 136 receiving yards Thursday, a performance that underscored what appears to be a widening gulf in the roles of the two players. Higbee has a respectable 10 targets over the last two games, but those have been parlayed into a modest seven receptions for 88 yards. Meanwhile, Everett has logged 19 looks over the same span, turning those into 12 catches, 180 yards and a touchdown. It remains to be seen if Higbee continues to be utilized in more of a possession role over the long term, with the next opportunity to find out on the field coming in a Week 6 divisional battle versus the 49ers a week from Sunday.

Gerald Everett TE | CHI
Rams' Gerald Everett: Ascent continues in narrow loss
Everett secured seven of 11 targets for 136 yards in the Rams' 30-29 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday.
Everett paced the Rams in receiving yards with a career-high tally, helping make up for Brandin Cooks' early exit due to a head injury. The athletic tight end's reception total was also a season-best figure, and Everett now has 12 catches (19 targets) for 180 yards and a touchdown over the last pair of contests. Given his rising profile in the offense, Everett will once again be a consideration in all formats in a Week 6 divisional battle versus the 49ers a week from Sunday.

Hunter Henry TE | NE
Chargers' Hunter Henry: Resumes running
Henry was running sprints with a brace on his injured left knee at the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
While Henry should still be listed as a non-participant on the Chargers' Thursday injury report, his activity off to the side suggests he's making some steady progress in his recovery from a left tibia plateau fracture. When Henry was diagnosed with the injury Sept. 11, his initial timeline called for a 4-to-6-week recovery, so counting on him returning to action in Week 6 versus Pittsburgh may be a tad ambitious.

Mark Andrews TE | BAL
Ravens' Mark Andrews: Returns to limited practice
Andrews (foot) was officially limited at practice Thursday.
Andrews didn't practice Wednesday, but unlike Week 4, when he also sat out practice Thursday, he was back out there for the team's second practice of the week. At this stage, Andrews' status for Sunday's game against the Steelers doesn't seem to be in danger, though it's possible that come Friday the Ravens could still end up listing the tight end as questionable for the contest.
-
Tyler Kroft TE | MIA
Bills' Tyler Kroft: Sidelined for another practice
Kroft (ankle) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Kroft's inactive statuses for the Bills' first two games was attributed to a broken right foot, but it's a balky left ankle that has forced absences the past two weeks. His inability to resume practicing Wednesday or Thursday suggests Kroft is trending toward sitting out again Sunday in Tennessee, clearing the way for rookie Dawson Knox to see the majority of the snaps at tight end.
-
David Njoku TE | LAC
Browns' David Njoku: Cleared of concussion
Njoku said Thursday that he's cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and has turned his focus exclusively to rehabbing his fractured wrist, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Njoku sustained the two injuries on a hard hit from the Jets' Nate Hairston on Sept. 16, resulting in his placement on injured reserve four days later. The tight end was able to avoid surgery to address the wrist issue, keeping hope alive for him to return later this season if he hits no unexpected snags in his rehab. The Browns won't be able to bring him back from IR until at least their Nov. 24 game against the Dolphins in Week 12.

Mark Andrews TE | BAL
Ravens' Mark Andrews: Back at practice
Andrews (foot) was on the field for the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
The Ravens will reveal the extent of Andrews' activity shortly after the session concludes, but the tight end looks poised to advance to limited or full participation after failing to take any reps Wednesday in the team's first practice of the week. Andrews has frequently popped up on the injury report with the foot issue throughout the first quarter of the season but has yet to miss a game, logging 23 receptions for 266 yards and three scores across four contests.
