Knox (hamstring) is on track to play in Friday's preseason game against Detroit, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

The Bills want to see how the rookie tight end responds to Wednesday's practice before they make a decision on his status. Knox resumed working out last week and returned to practice Monday. He's competing for snaps against Lee Smith, Jason Croom (hamstring) and fellow rookie Tommy Sweeney, while Tyler Kroft (foot) is in danger of remaining on the PUP list to begin the regular season.

Oliver (hamstring) won't suit up for Thursday's preseason contest against the Dolphins, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Oliver missed last week's exhibition game against the Eagles due to a lingering hamstring injury, and is still managing his recovery. With de facto starter Geoff Swaim (undisclosed) also sidelined, James O'Shaughnessy will start for Jacksonville during the team's third preseason tilt.

Swaim (undisclosed) won't play in Thursday's preseason contest against the Dolphins, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Swaim is still managing the unspecified injury, which also kept him sidelined for last week's exhibition game versus Philadelphia. The 25-year-old projects to start at tight end for the Jaguars when healthy, though he could face pressure from rookie Josh Oliver (hamstring) down the road.

Fant was diagnosed with a minor ankle sprain and is considered day-to-day, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Fant suffered the injury in Monday's preseason game against the 49ers, but there doesn't appear to be much concern surrounding the sprain. With Fant being day-to-day, he shouldn't be at risk of missing the start of the regular season.

Sternberger (concussion) has not cleared the concussion protocol Tuesday but is making progress, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

Sternberger is still working to clear the concussion protocol after suffering a head injury during joint practices with Houston prior to the Packers' first exhibition contest. He'll need to fully clear the protocol, including being approved for action by an independent neurologist, before taking the field for any preseason action.

Still, any time spent sidelined would be a loss of valuable reps for the rookie first-round pick, who the Broncos hope can make an immediate impact in the receiving game. Fant will work to resume practicing as soon as possible.

It remains to be seen whether he'll suit up for Thursday's preseason game against the Raiders, but his recovery doesn't appear likely to carry over into the regular season.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst suggested Graham's finger injury isn't serious, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports. "I'm not going to talk about injuries," Gutekunst said. "But I think we might've escaped one right there."

Graham was removed from Sunday's practice after suffering what appeared to be a finger dislocation. He may not be available for Thursday's preseason game against Oakland, but this doesn't seem like an issue that will keep the tight end sidelined into the regular season.
