  • Larry Donnell TE | BAL

Giants' Larry Donnell: Sits atop the Giants' depth chart

Donnell is listed atop the Giants depth chart at tight end.

It's unclear how the snaps will be split between he and Will Tye. Both are adequate receivers, while neither is a good blocker, but Donnell has more size and is presumably the team's starter.

  • Chris Manhertz TE | NYG

Saints' Chris Manhertz: Questionable for Week 1

Manhertz (head) is questionable to play Week 1, Josh Katzenstein of NOLA.com reports.

The severity of his injury is unclear. However, Manhertz's potential absence in the Saints' regular season opener likely won't have much of an impact on the team's performance as he is depth option at tight end.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Gets vote of confidence from Carroll

Head coach Pete Carroll said Friday he expects Graham (knee) to play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, John Boyle of the team's official website reports.

While his quotes haven't exactly been consistent, Carroll has mostly sounded optimistic about Graham the past three days, suggesting that the team expects its well-paid tight end to play, even if he isn't exactly being counted on. The most likely scenario has Graham suiting up and playing in a limited role, with most of his snaps coming on passing downs and near the end zone. Even if we could be certain about his status -- which we certainly can't -- Graham's Week 1 fantasy prospects would be less than thrilling. It also remains to be seen if he'll look like his pre-injury self, as patella injuries often have a lasting impact. Graham is listed as questionable for Sunday, and he was a full practice participant Wednesday-Friday.

  • Nick Vannett TE | SEA

Seahawks' Nick Vannett: Ruled out versus Dolphins

Vannett (ankle) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.

Vannett was deemed out by coach Pete Carroll to begin this week, so this latest report confirms his inactive status for Week 1. With Jimmy Graham (knee) seemingly good to go following a full week of practice, Vannett's absence isn't as significant as it maybe otherwise would have been, but the rookie third-rounder will nonetheless be keen to make his regular season debut sooner than later.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Listed as questionable

Graham (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Miami, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.

Graham was inevitably headed for a 'questionable' designation, despite logging full practices throughout the week. Head coach Pete Carroll hasn't exactly been helpful, sending mixed signals regarding Graham's odds of suiting up for the opener. The 29-year-old tight end should thus be viewed as truly questionable, though it's probably safe to assume he won't have an every-down role if he does play. Owners will also want to see how he looks on the field, as players often lose explosiveness even after recovering from patella injuries. It's unclear whether that opportunity will come this Sunday, but it does seem Graham will be ready by Week 2 or 3, at the worst.

  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

Vikings' MyCole Pruitt: Ruled out for Week 1

Pruitt (knee) has been ruled out for the Vikings' Week 1 matchup against the Titans, the Star Tribune reports.

Pruitt suffered an MCL sprain during Minnesota's third preseason contest and was given a 2-to-4 week timetable to return. That estimation would suggest there's a possibility he plays in the Vikings' home opener Week 2, but his involvement in practice next week will shed more light on his future availability.

  • Nick Vannett TE | SEA

Seahawks' Nick Vannett: Not practicing Wednesday

Vannett (ankle) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

This does not come as a surprise, as head coach Pete Carroll said on Monday that he didn't expect Vannett to take the field in Week 1. With Jimmy Graham now practicing fully and Vannett likely out, Luke Wilson will likely be the backup tight end for Seattle this week.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Full practice Wednesday

Graham (knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.

The Seahawks, namely Pete Carroll, have flip-flopped over the past few days regarding Graham's potential to play in Week 1. On Monday, Carroll relayed that he didn't expect Graham to take the field Sunday against the Dolphins, but went on record as stating the tight end will be pushed in practice this week as if he's preparing to suit up. Prior to drills Wednesday, Carroll changed his tune regarding Graham, giving him "good" odds to achieve active status. With one full practice in his back pocket, Graham will aim to do the same Thursday and Friday, two additional check marks that would put him in line to play in the opener.

  • Tyler Kroft TE | MIA

Bengals' Tyler Kroft: Practices in full

Kroft (knee) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice

With Tyler Eifert (ankle) essentially ruled out for Week 1 against the Jets, it appears Kroft will open the season as Cincinnati's top tight end. Kroft missed most of training camp and all of the preseason, but he's still believed to be safely ahead of C.J. Uzomah on the depth chart.

  • Dwayne Allen TE | NE

Colts' Dwayne Allen: Not on injury report

Allen (hip) is not listed on Wednesday's injury report.

Allen missed practice time last week due to a sore hip, but he returned Monday and looks to have fully participated Wednesday. He should be set to play Sunday against Detroit.
