Griswold has been placed on the active/PUP list.

The undrafted rookie free agent will miss the beginning of training camp with an undisclosed injury. He is joined by fellow tight end Mike Miller, leaving only five healthy tight ends at Colts camp. The severity of Griswold's injury is still unknown.

Coffman is expected to sign with the Colts, NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports.

Coffman has 18 catches in 37 career games, having played for four different teams. He'll compete for the No. 3 or 4 spot on the depth chart.

Pettigrew has been placed on the physically unable to perform list prior to the start of Detroit's training camp.

Pettigrew has been recovering from an ACL tear he suffered in December of last season. Though he's made steady progress, he isn't ready to practice quite yet and will instead participate in off-field activities. He'll be looking to return as soon as possible in order to compete with Eric Ebron (undisclosed), who will handle first-team reps while Pettigrew is sidelined.

Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones said Monday that Escobar (Achilles) could be recovered in time to play in Week 1 against the Giants, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports. "I think Gavin will be ready to start the season," Jones said.

Escobar tore his Achilles tendon in December, but he appears to be well ahead of schedule in his rehab. Even if he is in the lineup to begin the regular season, though, he's still stuck behind Jason Witten on the depth chart and would be little more than an occasional red-zone option in a stacked passing game.

Escobar (Achilles) is expected to begin this season on the Cowboys' PUP list, The Dallas Morning News reports.

Escobar tore his right Achilles back in December, capping him at a career-low eight catches for 64 yards and a touchdown last season. Now entering the final year of his rookie contract, the rather underwhelming 2013 second-rounder's recent injury will probably prevent him from being available for the Cowboys' first six regular season games. Even when he returns to the fold, Escobar is unlikely to carve out a very meaningful role in Dallas' offense as long as fellow tight end Jason Witten is around.

Waller has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Waller will be able to stay with the team through training camp and the preseason before serving his suspension once the season begins. In six games as a rookie last year, he recorded just two receptions for a total of 18 yards, though he did have a greater impact on special teams, where he was a gunner. He'll look to improve on his offensive numbers from last season once his suspension is complete.

Thomas was claimed off of waivers by the Giants on Friday, Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports.

Thomas was cut by the Dolphins on Thursday after spending the 2015-16 season on their practice squad. He now heads to New York, where he will likely be the number three quarterback behind Eli Manning and Ryan Nassib. The Giants waived fellow quarterback B.J. Daniels to make room for Thomas on the roster.

Moeaki was signed by the Bears on Thursday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Moeaki spent the latter portion of the 2015 season as a member of the Falcons, but never saw much action as he recorded just three catches for 58 yards and a touchdown on five targets throughout 11 games. Moeaki doesn't present much fantasy value at this point with fellow tight ends Zach Miller, Khari Lee, and Rob Housler on the Bears' roster as well.

Although he wasn't a participant during Tuesday's minincamp, Escobar (Achilles) was able to run routes on the side, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.

That's encouraging news for Escobar, but even if he is able to make a quicker-than-expected recovery from last season's torn Achilles tendon, he'll still be stuck behind Jason Witten on the Cowboys' depth chart.

Pettigrew (knee) continues to recover from a torn ACL suffered last December, but he's not expected to be ready for the start of training camp, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Pettigrew's timetable a month ago projected the tight end to be ready for a return by late July, but the team is expected to take it slow as he endures a lengthy recovery process. Eric Ebron will have additional time to solidify his place as the Lions' main pass-catching option at tight end.
