According to ESPN.com, Bills wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hamstring) and tight end Tony Moeaki (hamstring) are not expected to play in Friday's preseason game against the Panthers.  

Neither player was able to play in last week's preseason opener, and Moeaki has been limited to individual workouts in practice this week. Goodwin has been active in practice, but has not been a full participant either. 

The Colts tight ends split playing time pretty evenly during Thursday's preseason opener, though Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener didn't see much action beyond the first few drives.

According to the team's official site, Allen played 10 snaps against the Jets, while Fleener saw the field for eight plays. Both players were on the field for the first play, but neither came away from a reception.

Fleener saw a larger role a year ago, with Allen sidelined for all but one game with a hip injury. 

Saints tight end Jimmy Graham scored a touchdown during 7-on-7 drills Wednesday, according to ESPN. Graham has looked impressive in training camp, and according to safety Kenny Vaccaro he might be even better than he has been in past years.

"The dude's flying," Vaccaro said. "He's faster than last year, he seems stronger."

Second-year tight end Zach Ertz will be the Eagles' "most utilized pass-catching weapon in the red zone," reports Birds 24/7. Ertz caught five touchdowns in the last nine games last year, and the website would not be surprised if he led the team in receiving scores.

"He attacks the ball in the air, can box defenders out and is a precise route runner," the report said of Ertz, a 6-5, 250-pounder.

The Titans signed tight end Chase Coffman and guard Lanier Coleman. They also waived quarterback Tyler Wilson and put tight end Dorin Dickerson (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

Browns tight end Jim Dray missed practice Tuesday due to a shoudler injury, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

The Bills expect to have wide receiver Marquise Goodwin and tight ends Scott Chandler and Tony Moeaki back at practice Tuesday, the team announced.

Jets tight end Zach Sudfeld, a 6-7, 260-pounder, is getting some snaps with the starters as rookie Jaco Amaro struggles, reports The Star-Ledger. Sudfeld mostly runs with the second team and on special teams units.

Signed midseason last year, Sudfeld said "it's interesting how much difference it makes knowing the playbook a little bit. Last year, coming out here a little bit, it was kind of learning on the fly. I just try to take advantage of the reps I get.

"I do think that I have some ability to maybe stretch the field a little bit and kind of get out and run," he added. "I love playing in the West Coast [scheme]. It's a great offense for a tight end."

The Bills unveiled a list of players who will not participate in the preseason opener against the Giants in Canton, according to WGR550. The following players will sit out Sunday: defensive back Leodis McKelvin (hip), defensive back Stephon Gilmore (hip), tight end Tony Moeaki (hamstring), tight end Scott Chandler  (groin) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hamstring).

Bills tight ends Scott Chandler (groin) and Tony Moeaki (hamstring) aren't expected to play the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday against the Giants, according to ESPN. Both players suffered injuries during training camp.

Buffalo will travel to Carolina to face the Panthers on Friday.
