The Bills inactive list for the third preseason game against the Buccaneers Saturday featured eight names, the team announced before kickoff.

Wide receiver Sammy Watkins, defensive backs Mario Butler, Bobby Felder and Jonathan Meeks, defensive linemen Kyle Williams and Alan Branch, tight end Tony Moeaki, and offensive lineman Chris Williams were not in uniform for Saturday's game. 

The Eagles trimmed their roster to 76 players Saturday, as they announced the waiving of 14 players.

Among those waived are: wide receivers Kadron Boone and B.J. Cunningham; tight ends Emil Igwenagu and Blake Annen; offensive lineman Michael Bamiro, Karim Barton and Donald Hawkins; linebacker Jake Knott; defensive backs Daytawion Lowe and Davon Morgan; defensive linemen Joe Kruger, Frances Mays and Alejandro Villanueva; and kicker Carey Spear.  

The team still has to make one more cut before Tuesday. 

Packers tight end Andrew Quarless got in the end zone Friday night against the Raiders in exhibition play. Quarless caught a 6-yard catch from Aaron Rodgers late in the second quarter. It was his only catch and target of the night.

Jets tight end Jace Amaro came down with a touchdown Friday night against the Giants in preseason action.

Amaro broke free for a 1-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter, his first pro touchdown. He saw work with the first unit and worked into the third quarter with the backups. He finished with four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown, averaging 9.3 yards per grab.

The Saints have waived running back Timothy Flanders, wide receiver Tobais Palmer, tight end Je'Ron Hamm and linebacker Chidera Uzo-Diribe.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has looked like a breakout player through two preseason games. He's caught six of seven targets for 136 yards and two touchdowns while displaying unusual speed for a 6-5, 260-pounder.

Coach Andy Reid allowed that Kelce "did a nice job" Sunday night against the Panthers.

"I do like what he’s doing," Reid told the team's website. "He’s just got to keep coming with it and there’s more than just the route running. You got to be able to run-block and then you got to detail all your work there. But, you sure got to give him credit for the effort that he’s giving in the pass game and he sure has a nice skill level."

Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith said tight end Timothy Wright is "not playing as well as he should be playing," reports the Tampa Bay Times. "He's dropped some balls. If you've been watching him at practice, he's dropped balls. He's a big part of what we want to do with the two-receiver, two-tight end set. Tim hasn't blocked as well inside."

Wright is behind rookie Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Brandon Myers.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce scored his second preseason touchdown Sunday night at Carolina.

Kelce caught a deep pass from rookie Aaron Murray and took it 43 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. He saw all of his work in the second half and finished with a team-high 63 yards and a touchdown on four receptions. He has six catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns on seven targets, averaging 22.7 yards per grab through two preseason games.

Rookie tight end Richard Rodgers started for the Packers on Saturday night, playing the entire 12-play opening drive, reports the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He was not targeted but he lined up all over the field and was more open in the end zone than Randall Cobb when Aaron Rodgers hit Cobb for a 3-yard touchdown.

Richard Rodgers is battling Brandon Bostick and Andrew Quarless for the starting job.

Cowboys tight end Gavin Escobar suffered a shoulder injury while laying out for a 37-yard completion in the third quarter of Saturday's preseason game, ESPN.com reports.

Escobar will be evaluated on Sunday, though coach Jason Garrett doesn't think "the injury will be too, too serious," he said.

Escobar was the second-leading receiver for the Cowboys in Saturday's loss to the Ravens, catching three passes for 58 yards. He's looking to earn a bigger supplement of targets this season after catching nine balls for 134 yards and two touchdowns in 2013.
