Texans tight ends Owen Daniels (knee) and Garrett Graham (hip, groin) are both listed on the injury report for Week 5 as probable. Both have been listed on the report through the last few weeks, but have not been limited come kickoff. 

The Texans have the best tight end duo in the NFL right now with Owen Daniels and Garrett Graham, and both rank in the Top 12 of standard Fantasy leagues. But this should be a tough week for them at San Francisco, and you might want to keep them reserved if possible.

The 49ers gave up a touchdown to Jermichael Finley in Week 1, but since then San Francisco has been stout against tight ends. Lance Kendricks scored a late touchdown in Week 4, but Coby Fleener and Jared Cook have combined for six catches for 58 yards the previous two games.

Daniels played well in Week 4 against Seattle with six catches for 72 yards, but he's now gone two games in a row without a touchdown. After scoring 18 Fantasy points in the first week of the season, he has combined for 17 points the past three games.

Graham has scored in three of four games this year, but he's only averaging four targets a week, which makes him a risky play. If he doesn't score a touchdown you're looking at a high of about three Fantasy points.

Based on the tough matchup, we would only consider starting Daniels in deeper leagues and leaving Graham in a reserved role.

It did not take long for recently released tight end Zach Sudfeld to find work. Sudfeld, who was waived by the Patriots Thursday, was claimed by the Jets Friday.

It is not clear if Sudfeld will be available to play for the Jets in Week 5 against the Falcons, as he might be able to get one day of practice in Saturday as the team prepares for Monda's game. 

Chiefs tight ends Anthony Fasano and Travis Kelce have missed six of eight games combined this season with ankle inuries and might both be out Sunday against Tennessee. Fasano is listed as questionable while Kelce has already been ruled out.

Fasano caught four passes in the first two games before his injury struck. Kelce has yet to play.

Making matters worse, fellow Kansas City tight end Sean McGrath has an injured knee, though he has been desginated as probable. McGrath has filled in admirably with 11 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown. He has participated fully in the last two practices.

A lingering calf injury will keep Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis inactive in Week 5 against St. Louis. He has missed early the entire season with the ailment.

Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew said he's been asked to block more often than in the past, according to the Detroit Free Press. 

Pettigrew admitted his role has changed due to the parts around him. With Reggie Bush and Joique Bell seeing time as the team's leading rushers, there's a bigger importance on utilizing them in the short passing game. That could explain why Pettigrew only had 12 targets through the season's first three games before catching seven balls Week 4. 

Offensive coordinater Scott Linehan praised Pettigrew for his work this season, praising his ability to be a more well-rounded player. Through four weeks, Pettigrew has 12 catches for 92 yards. He has yet to score a touchdown.

Rookie tight end Zach Sudfeld was cut by the Patriots on Thursday. The move has led to specuation that Rob Gronkowski will finally be cleared to play Sunday at Cincinnati. Growkowski has yet to play this year after undergoing multiple surgeries in the offseason.

Lions tight end Joseph Fauria has two receiving touchdowns this season -- good for second-most on the team. But Fauria also has just four receptions over four games, and has been shut out completely in two. 

While it's nice to see the occasional touchdown, Fauria doesn't factor enough into the team's game plan to merit a spot on most Fantasy rosters. Since most teams don't require more than one tight end, Fauria is a bye week option in deep leagues.

Fauria can be left on the waiver wire for his Week 5 matchup against the Packers. 

Despite stepping up in Week 4 with his best game of the season -- seven catches for 54 yards in the first game since Nate Burleson was injured in an automibile accident -- Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew remains a frustratingly erratic Fantasy asset. 

While Pettigrew is capable of putting up anywhere from 15 to 115 receiving yards each week, the performances come without much warning and are hard to predict. And he has scored just three touchdowns since Christmas 2011. 

Pettigrew may have been the benficiary of passes that would have otherwise gone to Burleson. Or this could have been just another one of those weeks where he has 50-plus receiving yards and makes everyone hover over that green plus sign next to his name on the free agent wire a little too long for comfort. 

It's probably wise to assume the yardage was just the normal course of action for Pettigrew and leave him on the waiver wire. He needs to find the end zone and keep this up for a few weeks in a row before he's relevant again in 12-team leagues. 

A nagging calf injury has again prevented Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis from praticing on Thursday, the Florida Times-Union is reporting. Lewis returned from the same ailment Sunday against Indianapolis, but reinjured it in the first quarter and didn't return.
