Sal Cannella TE | CLE
Browns' Sal Cannella: Elevated from practice squad
The Browns have elevated Cannella from the practice squad Saturday in advance of Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Cannella is being elevated as a depth option at tight end due to top playmaker Harold Fannin (groin) being listed as questionable and David Njoku (groin) ruled out. The expectation is that Fannin will be good to go versus Pittsburgh, but Cannella will get a chance to handle third-string duties if the rookie starter ends up inactive.

Andrew Ogletree TE | IND
Colts' Drew Ogletree: Lands on IR
The Colts placed Ogletree (neck) on injured reserve Saturday.
Ogletree will miss at least Indianapolis' next four games due to a neck injury suffered during the team's Week 16 loss to San Francisco. If the Colts manage to somehow get into the playoffs and make a deep playoff run, the depth tight end could be a candidate to retake the field late January, though the Colts' chances of making the postseason are quite slim.

Adam Trautman TE | DEN
Broncos' Adam Trautman: Targeted twice against Kansas City
Trautman caught both of his targets for 24 yards in Thursday's 20-13 win over the Chiefs.
Trautman played 52 of the Broncos' 72 offensive snaps Thursday, once again playing the most snaps at tight end. Teammates Evan Engram and Marcedes Lewis played 22 and 15 snaps, respectively. Engram paced the position group in targets (4) as Denver's preferred pass-catching tight end. Meanwhile the 28-year-old Trautman continued to operate as a blocking specialist. The veteran's limited opportunities keep him far off the fantasy radar each week. Next up for the Broncos is a Week 18 matchup against the Chargers.

Evan Engram TE | DEN
Broncos' Evan Engram: Four grabs in win
Engram caught all four of his targets for 21 yards in Thursday's 20-13 win over the Chiefs.
Engram continued his role as the Broncos' No. 1 pass-catching tight end, but he was unable to get much going against the Chiefs. The 31-year-old played 22 of Denver's 72 offensive snaps, behind blocking specialist Adam Trautman (52). Engram's limited playing time and inefficient production make him difficult to trust for fantasy purposes. The veteran will look to bounce back with a strong performance Week 18 when the Broncos host the Chargers in the regular season finale.

Anthony Firkser TE | DET
Lions' Anthony Firkser: Blanked in Week 17
Firkser failed to reel in his only target in Thursday's 23-10 loss to the Vikings.
Firkser was unable to secure a pass for the second time in three weeks and the third time over six contests since making his season debut Nov. 23. The tight end once again split time with Shane Zylstra in Week 17, and Firkser did garner a target while Zylstra did not. Firkser will have one more chance to reach the end zone for the first time since 2021 when the Lions travel to face the Bears in Week 18.

Shane Zylstra TE | DET
Lions' Shane Zylstra: No production in Week 17
Zylstra did not garner a target in Thursday's 23-10 loss to Minnesota.
Zylstra went without a target for the second time in three games since returning from injured reserve. The tight end maintained a slight lead in offensive workload over Anthony Firkser, logging 42 offensive snaps to Firkser's 35, though the latter did garner a target. Zylstra will look to finish off the regular season on a higher note when Detroit heads to Chicago in Week 18.

Giovanni Ricci TE | DET
Giovanni Ricci: Reverts to DET practice squad
Ricci reverted to the Lions' practice squad Friday.
Ricci played 50 percent of the Lions' offensive snaps in Thursday's loss to the Vikings. The tight end had just one target and no receptions, primarily serving as a blocker for the team. Thursday marks the 29-year-old's third elevation, meaning if the Lions would like to use Ricci in Week 18, they would have to sign him to the active roster.

Moliki Matavao TE | NO
Saints' Moliki Matavao: Signed to Saints' active roster
The Saints signed Matavao from the practice squad to the active roster Friday.
The move corresponds with the Saints placing fellow tight end Foster Moreau (ankle) on injured reserve. Matavao was selected by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but the UCLA product has bounced back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster. He figures to be the Saints' TE4 behind Juwan Johnson, Taysom Hill and Jack Stoll over the final two games of the regular season.

Tanner McLachlan TE | LAC
Tanner McLachlan: Back to Chargers' practice squad
Los Angeles re-signed McLachlan to the practice squad Friday.
McLachlan was cut from the Bolts' practice squad Wednesday, but he now resurfaces with the unit. The second-year pro initially inked with Los Angeles' practice squad Dec. 11 after a workout with the team, and he has yet to be elevated for a game this season.

George Kittle TE | SF
49ers' George Kittle: Questionable for Sunday
Kittle (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Kittle exited this past Monday's win at Indianapolis due to what eventually was deemed to be a mid-to-low ankle sprain. He wasn't able to practice Wednesday or Thursday, and GM John Lynch told KNBR San Francisco on Friday that Kittle likely will be a game-time decision for Week 17 action. Coach Kyle Shanahan later relayed to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com that Kittle said he'll have a better idea of his potential to play this weekend by Saturday. In any case, the 49ers will make a decision on Kittle's availability by about 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. If Kittle doesn't suit up, Jake Tonges and Luke Farrell would be in line for significant jumps in snap counts and potential target shares.
