  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Sitting out in Germany

Tremble (back) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants in Munich, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Tremble will be sidelined for the fifth time in 10 games on the season, with the back issue causing the last three absences. With Tremble sidelined in Germany, rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders should start at tight end and dominate the playing time after he logged 84 percent of the snaps in a Week 9 win over the Saints and finished with four catches for 87 yards on five targets.

  • Shane Zylstra TE | BUF

Lions' Shane Zylstra: Signed to active roster

The Lions signed Zylstra from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Zylstra was elevated from the practice squad for the maximum three times this season, and he'll continue to play in Detroit after being signed to the active roster. Zylstra will serve as the Lions' No. 3 tight end Sunday against the Texans behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright.

  • McCallan Castles: Back with Bolts

The Chargers signed Castles to the practice squad Saturday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.

Castles was let go from the Chargers' practice squad Wednesday, but he will stick around in Los Angeles.

  • Patriots' Mitchell Wilcox: Elevated for Week 10

Wilcox was elevated from the Patriots' practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Wilcox was last elevated to the active roster for Week 4 against the 49ers, during which he played 17 snaps on special teams. He'll serve as New England's No. 4 tight end Sunday against Chicago behind Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper and Jaheim Bell.

  • Julian Hill TE | NE

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Good to go Monday

Hill (shoulder) was a full practice participant Saturday and carries no injury designation into Monday's game against the Rams, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Hill injured his shoulder in Week 8 against Arizona, which forced him to be sidelined against the Bills in Week 9. He opened this week with consecutive limited practice sessions, but he finished off strong Saturday with a full practice and will suit up Monday. Hill has logged seven catches (on 10 targets) for 45 yards through seven regular-season games while operating as the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end behind Jonnu Smith.

  • Tucker Fisk TE | LAC

Chargers' Tucker Fisk: Added to Bolts' active roster

The Chargers signed Fisk from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.

Fisk was unable to make the Chargers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he opted to stick around on the Bolts' practice squad. He hasn't been elevated this season, but he is now on the active roster and will serve as the Chargers' No. 4 tight end behind Will Dissly, Hayden Hurst and Stone Smartt (ankle).

  • Colson Yankoff TE | WAS

Commanders' Colson Yankoff: Lands on IR

Yankoff (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve by the Commanders on Saturday.

Yankoff suffered a hamstring injury during the practice week and didn't practice Friday after being a limited participant Thursday. The issue appears to be fairly serious, as Yankoff will need to miss at least the next four games while on IR. The tight end's absence is unlikely to impact the Commanders' offensive gameplan much, as Yankoff has played only six offensive snaps on the season. He's been a staple on special teams, though, and will be missed in that regard.

  • Dalton Schultz TE | HOU

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Could see increased targets

Schultz could see a higher-than-usual number of targets in Sunday night's game against the Lions with Houston's top two wideouts questionable for Week 10.

Schultz had been a forgotten component in the passing offense to start the season, but injuries have hit the wideout group since Week 1. Stefon Diggs (knee) is done for the season, Nico Collins (IR, hamstring) was designated to return from IR but logged one limited practice Friday and is questionable, and Tank Dell (back) popped up on Friday's injury report and is questionable. Schultz is averaging five targets per game for the season and has seen at least six throws come his way in four of the last five weeks, coinciding with the stretch of time that injuries began impacting the wide receivers. After catching five touchdowns during his first season in Houston, Schultz is still looking for his first score in 2024.

  • Drew Sample TE | CIN

Bengals' Drew Sample: No targets in Week 10

Sample did not see any targets in Thursday's loss to the Ravens.

Sample had his best game of the season with four catches and a touchdown in Week 9 against Las Vegas, but he was back to being a non-factor Thursday. Meanwhile, Bengals No. 1 tight end Mike Gesicki caught four passes (on nine targets) for 30 yards against Baltimore, and Tanner Hudson notched six catches (on seven targets) for 42 yards and a touchdown. Sample did finish second among the team's tight ends with 46 offensive snaps, but with zero receptions in seven of his 10 contests this season, he can't be counted on for offensive production on a weekly basis.

  • Cam Grandy TE | CIN

Cam Grandy: Reverts to practice squad

Grandy reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Grandy was elevated to the Bengals' active roster Thursday and played 10 total snaps (four offensive and six on special teams) in Cincinnati's Week 10 loss to the Ravens, catching his only target for no yards. He could be elevated to the active roster again if the team's tight end room faces injuries later this season.
