Gerald Everett TE | CHI
Bears' Gerald Everett: Targeted four times
Everett caught two of four targets for 10 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Bengals.
Everett got a lot of playing time on the first-team offense for a second straight week, including as the lone tight end in three-wide formations. Everett's usage has led to concern about Cole Kmet failing to match his near-every-down role from the past three season, but even if that happens, it's unlikely Everett would get enough snaps/routes to achieve mainstream fantasy utility of his own.

Cole Kmet TE | CHI
Bears' Cole Kmet: Rotates with Everett
Kmet caught his lone target for nine yards in Saturday's 27-3 preseason win over Cincinnati.
Kmet and Gerald Everett rotated on the first-team offense for a second straight week, with the latter catching two of four targets for 10 yards in Saturday's win. Everett's involvement -- after signing a two-year, $12 million contract -- creates reasonable concerns about Kmet not matching his robust snap shares from the past three seasons, but Kmet could still take the lion's share of playing time once the games actually matter.

Mark Andrews TE | BAL
Ravens' Mark Andrews: Doesn't do pregame warmups
Andrews (undisclosed) didn't go through pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason game against Atlanta, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
The Ravens announced that Andrews was uninjured after a car accident Wednesday, but it's possible he's now dealing with some soreness. He wouldn't have played Saturday in any case, as the Ravens are resting most of their starters and some key backups.

Albert Okwuegbunam TE | LV
Eagles' Albert Okwuegbunam: Missing practice again
Okwuegbunam (abdomen) did not participate at practice Saturday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.
It was previously reported that Okwuegbunam's abdomen injury is not serious, but it's at least somewhat concerning that it's still keeping him off the field as the regular season approaches. Whether he gets a spot on the final 53-man roster may depend on how many tight ends Philadelphia's opts to keep on it.

E.J. Jenkins TE | PHI
Eagles' E.J. Jenkins: Dealing with knee injury
Jenkins (knee) did not participate at practice Saturday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.
It's unclear at this point how serious Jenkins' knee issue is. Either way, it's an unfortunate setback considering he's likely on the outside looking in at a potential spot on Philadelphia's final 53-man roster.

Grant Calcaterra TE | PHI
Eagles' Grant Calcaterra: Practicing again
Calcaterra (shoulder) participated at practice Saturday, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Apparently, the shoulder issue Calcaterra is dealing with is only a minor one. Barring any more setbacks, he projects for a peripheral role in Philadelphia's offense behind Dallas Goedert in 2024.

Evan Engram TE | DEN
Jaguars' Evan Engram: Impresses in joint practices
Engram was a standout during Jacksonville's final joint practice with the Buccaneers on Thursday, Zach Goodall of USA Today reports.
Engram connected with quarterback Trevor Lawrence on a deep ball during the final day of joint practices with Tampa Bay, per Goodall. The veteran tight end is coming off a career-best 2023 campaign in which he tallied a 114-963-4 receiving line across 17 regular-season contests, and he remains slated for an integral role in Jacksonville's receiving game. Former top wideout Calvin Ridley departed for Tennessee in free agency, though the Jaguars added veteran Gabe Davis and rookie first-round pick Brian Thomas to the wide receiver corps. Lawrence isn't slated to play in Saturday's preseason game against Tampa Bay, meaning Engram will also likely sit out. That will make the Jaguars' Aug. 23 matchup versus the Falcons his final chance to log exhibition action.

Dallas Goedert TE | PHI
Eagles' Dallas Goedert: No action in second preseason game
Goedert did not play in Friday's 14-13 preseason win over the Patriots.
Goedert has been a full participant at training camp, but Philadelphia's first-team offense hasn't yet been called up for preseason action. The starting tight end is coming off a 2023 campaign in which he suited up for 14 regular-season games and put together a 59-592-3 receiving line. He's situated to again work as one of the Eagles' key skill-position starters, along with wideouts A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and new running Saquon Barkley.

Trey McBride TE | ARI
Cardinals' Trey McBride: No. 1 TE on depth chart
McBride remains listed as the Cardinals' No. 1 tight end on the team's second unofficial depth chart of training camp, Jeremy Cluff of The Arizona Republic reports.
Oftentimes, NFL depth charts in August are merely guesses by team media relations staffs as to where players stand, but in the case of McBride there's little question regarding his status in the Cardinals offense. Not only is he Arizona's top tight end, he'll be among the top targets for QB Kyler Murray in 2024 alongside first-round rookie WR Marvin Harrison, second-year WR Michael Wilson and RB James Conner. In the eight games in which Murray was under center last season, McBride, a 2022 second-rounder, posted two 100-yard efforts en route to a 53-538-2 line on 66 targets. Such numbers extrapolated across a 17-game slate would place McBride in elite company at his position league-wide for fantasy purposes.

Dalton Kincaid TE | BUF
Bills' Dalton Kincaid: To play over a quarter Saturday
The Bills plan for Kincaid and the starting offense to play one and a half quarters during Saturday's preseason game against the Steelers, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Buffalo deployed the first-team units for only a quarter during last week's preseason opener against the Bears, in which Kincaid secured his only target for seven yards. With Dawson Knox (groin/ankle) currently managing a pair of injuries, Kincaid could be in line for a larger portion of snaps than usual Saturday. The second-year pro looks like a breakout candidate at the tight-end position after having put up a 73-673-2 receiving line across 16 regular-season games as a rookie.
