  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

    Panthers' Hayden Hurst: Out again

Hurst (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Hurst will miss a second straight game after sitting out every practice this week. Fellow Panthers tight end Tommy Tremble played a career-high 76 percent of snaps in the team's loss to Dallas last week, catching one of three targets for a four-yard TD.

  • Dawson Knox TE | BUF

Bills' Dawson Knox: Week 14 return possible

Coach Sean McDermott noted Friday that the Bills are "hopeful but not certain" that Knox (wrist) will be able to return to action after the Bills' Week 13 bye, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

Knox, who remains on IR, last suited up in Week 7, but it's possible that he could return to the mix as soon as the Bills' Dec. 10 contest against the Chiefs. While that's hardly a lock to happen, it does appear as though the tight end will be back before the end of the season. In the meantime, Dalton Kincaid will remain the team's top TE option.

  • Logan Thomas TE | SF

Commanders' Logan Thomas: Held to 15 yards

Thomas caught two of four targets for 15 yards in Thursday's 45-10 loss to Dallas.

Thomas turned in his second-worst fantasy performance in 11 appearances this season, following five straight games with at least four catches and 31 yards. He's now averaging 4.1 receptions for 38.5 yards and 0.27 touchdowns on 5.6 targets for the campaign heading into a Week 13 home game against the Dolphins.

  • Tucker Kraft TE | GB

Packers' Tucker Kraft: Tallies first career touchdown

Kraft was targeted twice and caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 29-22 victory over the Lions.

Kraft nearly picked up his first career touchdown in Green Bay's Week 11 victory over the Chargers, but he broke through Thursday, finding the end zone shortly before the first quarter came to a close. The 23-year-old has filled a complementary role for most of his rookie season, but his snaps have steadily increased, and with fellow rookie tight end Luke Musgrave (abdomen) out in Week 12, Kraft started and was on the field for all but a couple plays. Musgrave will miss at least three more games after landing on injured reserve, so Kraft will presumably continue occupying a starting spot. The upcoming matchups aren't great, but Kraft will at least have opportunity on his side, and quarterback Jordan Love is heating up.

  • Will Dissly TE | LAC

Seahawks' Will Dissly: Produces 21 yards

Dissly caught his lone target for 21 yards in Thursday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers.

Dissly played just 16 offensive snaps in a game in which the Seahawks fell behind early. None of the tight ends in Seattle has made a major impact in the box score this season, and Dissly has produced just 10 receptions on 13 targets for 108 yards.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Seahawks' Noah Fant: Catches two passes

Fant notched two catches for 25 yards on two targets in Thursday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers.

Fant hasn't recorded more than two receptions in a game since Week 3, and he has yet to find the end zone this season. The 2019 first-round pick is still the clear No. 1 tight end, as he played 32 offensive snaps Thursday while Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson combined for 35 snaps.

  • 49ers' George Kittle: Quiet game as teammates shine

Kittle caught three of his five targets for 19 yards in Thursday's 31-13 win over the Seahawks.

Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey handled all of the scoring in Thursday's holiday victory, barely leaving any leftovers for San Francisco's remaining star on offense. Kittle is prone to these sporadic quiet efforts when the 49ers are operating at full strength, which has resulted in four games with less than 20 receiving yards this season. However, Kittle's recent four-game hot streak -- where he averaged 6.3 receptions and 108.0 yards -- is why managers should tolerate the occasional down game from the tight end. Kittle has responded with big receiving games following his previous two duds, and the 49ers may need him to repeat the feat against the Eagles on Dec. 3 in order to secure victory.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Chargers' Gerald Everett: Another limited session

Everett (chest) remained limited at practice Thursday.

Everett was also limited Wednesday, so the tight end may need to log a full session Friday in order to avoid approaching Sunday night's contest against the Ravens with an injury designation. If Everett -- who was sidelined Week 11 -- returns to the mix this weekend, he'll profile as a hit-or-miss fantasy option after having compiled a 21-167-2 line on 27 targets through eight games to date this season.

  • Sam LaPorta TE | DET

Lions' Sam LaPorta: Finds pay dirt

LaPorta caught five of eight targets for 47 yards with one touchdown and one two-point conversion during Thursday's 29-22 loss to the Packers.

Coming off a pair of subpar performances, LaPorta hadn't seen a red-zone target since Detroit exited its Week 9 bye with a fully-healthy backfield. Not only did the rookie find pay dirt with one of the two looks he saw near the goal line, but he also got open on a two-point conversion to aid Detroit's comeback effort. However, a number of miscues, including three fumbles and five failed fourth-down conversion attempts, cut short the majority of the Lions' offensive drives, which prevented LaPorta from doing much more. The Iowa product will look to keep rolling in a Week 12 matchup with a Saints defense that is tied for the most touchdowns allowed to tight ends (six) in 2023.

  • Durham Smythe TE | BAL

Dolphins' Durham Smythe: Questionable for Friday's game

Smythe (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Jets, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Smythe was deemed limited on Thursday's practice estimate, and his status for Friday's contest remains uncertain. If he's limited or out versus the Jets, added Week 12 snaps would be available for fellow TEs Julian Hill and Tyler Kroft. Through nine games this season, Smythe has hauled in 17 of his 22 targets for 168 yards, a rate of production that limits his fantasy utility to deeper formats.
