  • Hayden Hurst TE | LAC

Panthers' Hayden Hurst: No practice Thursday

Hurst (concussion) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Hurst hasn't practiced since emerging with a concussion following the Panthers' loss at Chicago on Nov. 9. With just one more opportunity to mix into drills this week, he seems to be on the outside looking in to return to action Sunday at Tennessee. Hurst may be a candidate to be ruled out on the Panthers' final Week 12 injury report Friday.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: Still dealing with rib injury

Hockenson (ribs) was listed as limited on Thursday's injury report, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Hockenson has been tending to a rib injury since the Vikings' Week 9 win in Atlanta, but he's still been able to play the last two games on his way to 15 catches (on 22 targets) for 189 yards and one touchdown. During that same span, there's been the looming decision whether or not to activate Justin Jefferson (hamstring) from injured reserve, but the star wideout continues to be listed as limited. Even if Hockenson is rejoined by Jefferson on Monday against the Bears, the tight end should remain one of quarterback Joshua Dobbs' top options in the passing game.

  • Josiah Deguara TE | ARI

Packers' Josiah Deguara: Inactive Week 12, as expected

Deguara (hip) is officially inactive for Thursday's contest against Detroit, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Deguara was deemed doubtful Wednesday for the Thanksgiving clash, so it's no surprise that he isn't suiting up. The 26-year-old had played in each of Green Bay's 10 contests prior to Week 12, working in a hybrid tight end/fullback role. The Packers elevated Henry Pearson from the practice squad Wednesday to cover fullback duties versus the Lions.

  • Colts' Drew Ogletree: Missing another practice

Ogletree (foot) was not spotted at the early portion of Thursday's practice, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.

Ogletree looks on track to sit out another practice, though Thursday's session may well only be a walkthrough. The tight end hasn't played since Week 9, and though Indianapolis is coming off a bye, Ogletree may still require more time to get healthy. If he can't suit up against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Kylen Gransonand Mo Alie-Cox will stand to handle increased reps.

  • Eagles' Grant Calcaterra: Doesn't participate in walkthrough

Calcaterra (ankle) didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough.

Calcaterra didn't play in the team's Week 9 win over the Cowboys with a concussion and is now in danger of missing his second game of the season. With Dallas Goedert still dealing with a forearm injury, Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam could be the only healthy tight ends on the team's roster for Sunday's matchup with the Bills.

  • Josiah Deguara TE | ARI

Packers' Josiah Deguara: Doubtful for Thursday's matchup

Deguara (hip) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game versus the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Deguara is listed as doubtful for Thursday's matchup due to a hip injury suffered during last week's win over the Chargers. With Luke Musgrave (abdomen) placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims will likely be the only two healthy tight ends on Green Bay's roster when they take on the Lions.

  • Durham Smythe TE | BAL

Dolphins' Durham Smythe: Limited in Wednesday's practice

Smythe (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Smythe missed the Dolphins' Week 11 win over the Raiders with the injury and could be in danger of missing a second straight contest if he's unable to upgrade to full practice participation Thursday. If Smythe is sidelined for Friday's game against the Jets, Julian Hill will likely start at tight end again but wouldn't be in store for much involvement in the passing game.

  • Nick Vannett TE | LAR

Chargers' Nick Vannett: Doesn't practice Wednesday

    Vannett (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday.

Vannett popped up on Wednesday's injury report with a concussion and will now need to clear the concussion protocol before he's eligible to return to the field. With Gerald Everett still dealing with a chest injury as well, the Chargers are in danger of being short-handed at tight end for Sunday's matchup with the Ravens.

  • Gerald Everett TE | CHI

Chargers' Gerald Everett: Limited in return to practice

Everett (chest) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

Everett didn't practice at all last week, so his ability to practice Wednesday -- albeit in a limited capacity -- improves the tight end's chances of returning to action Sunday against the Ravens. That said, Everett will need to practice fully by Friday in order to avoid heading into the weekend with an injury designation.

  • Dallas Goedert TE | PHI

Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Still not practicing

    Goedert (forearm) didn't practice Wednesday.

After fracturing his right forearm Week 9 and undergoing surgery, Goedert was expected to miss multiple weeks. So far, he's sat out just one game (Week 11) due to the Eagles having a Week 10 bye, but his lack of activity Wednesday indicates another absence may be on tap Sunday versus the Bills. The Eagles likely will clear up Goedert's status for Week 12 by the time they post their final practice report Friday.
