  • Jake Ferguson TE | DAL

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Tending to calf issue

Ferguson was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a calf injury, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Both Ferguson and WR CeeDee Lamb (concussion) operated with a cap on their reps to begin Week 15 prep, but the former's health concern didn't emerge until Wednesday. As a result, Ferguson's status will continue to be monitored as the week continues to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's contest versus the Vikings.

  • Mason Taylor TE | NYJ

Jets' Mason Taylor: DNP due to neck injury Wednesday

Taylor (neck) didn't practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

This is a new injury for Taylor, who was the Jets' leading receiver with five catches for 51 yards in this past Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. The rookie second-round pick will have two more chances to increase his participation level ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

  • Eric Saubert TE | SEA

Seahawks' Eric Saubert: Practice window opens

The Seahawks announced Wednesday that Saubert (calf) has been designated for return from IR, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Saubert has missed Seattle's last six games due to a lingering calf injury, but he's now ready to resume practicing and will have a 21-day window wherein he can ramp up his activity level without counting against the active roster. The Seahawks can activate him from IR at any point in that span, his health permitting. Once ready to return, Saubert will stand to contribute as a depth option at tight end.

  • Theo Johnson TE | NYG

Giants' Theo Johnson: Dealing with toe injury

Johnson was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a toe injury, Matt Citak of the Giants' official site reports.

In the wake of the Giants' Week 14 bye, Johnson now is dealing with a health concern that may stem back to the team's last game Dec. 1 at New England. In any case, he'll have two more opportunities to get back to full this week before New York potentially tags him with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Commanders.

  • Dalton Kincaid TE | BUF

Bills' Dalton Kincaid: Not on Week 15 injury report

Kincaid isn't listed on the Bills' injury report Wednesday, Alex Brasky of SB Nation reports.

After missing three games with a hamstring injury, Kincaid caught four of five targets for 41 yards and a TD in Sunday's 39-34 win over the Bengals. His role was about the same as pre-injury, with modest snap/route shares but standout efficiency numbers on a per-route and per-snap basis.

  • Kyle Pitts TE | ATL

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Questionable for Thursday

Pitts (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game in Tampa Bay, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Pitts has been listed as limited on all three Week 15 practice reports due to a knee injury, leaving his status up in the air for Thursday. During Drake London's (knee) current three-game absence that is extending to four contests this week, Pitts has been more active in the passing game, with a 15-197-0 line on 23 targets during that span. Assuming Pitts is able to suit up, he'll remain a key target for QB Kirk Cousins.

  • Texans' Harrison Bryant: Designated for return from IR

Bryant (neck/shoulder) had his 21-day practice window opened Wednesday.

Bryant remains on injured reserve, where he was placed Nov. 15, but he can rejoin his teammates at practice. The Texans have 21 days to add Bryant back to the active roster, and such a move could occur prior to Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Bryant's participation level in practice will provide insight on how close he is to returning to game action.

  • Josh Whyle TE | GB

Packers' Josh Whyle: Notches 21-yard catch in win

Whyle reeled in his lone target for a 21-yard reception in Sunday's 28-21 win over the Bears.

Whyle took the field for 22 of Green Bay's 53 snaps on offense, with his 42 percent share placing him behind John FitzPatrick (57 percent) and Luke Musgrave (40 percent) as the Packers continue to take a committee approach at tight end following Tucker Kraft's season-ending knee injury. Since being signed to the 53-man roster in early November, Whyle has produced a 3-24-1 receiving line on four targets over five games.

  • Jared Wiley TE | KC

Chiefs' Jared Wiley: No work on offense in Week 14

Wiley played all three of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Texans.

Wiley was one of four active tight ends for Kansas City in Week 14, but the team didn't have any snaps available on offense for him behind Travis Kelce, Noah Gray and Robert Tonyan. The second-year player suited up for just the second time all season after recording a four-yard reception over nine snaps on offense a week earlier in the Chiefs' Thanksgiving Day loss to the Cowboys.

  • Cade Otton TE | TB

Buccaneers' Cade Otton: Considered doubtful for Thursday

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Otton (knee) is considered doubtful for Thursday's game against the Falcons, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Otton was labeled a non-participant on Tampa Bay's first two injury reports of Week 15, and it appears he's trending in the wrong direction for Thursday's contest against Atlanta. Payne Durham will figure to step up as the Buccaneers' top tight end if Otton is unable to suit up for Thursday Night Football. It's a positive development, at the very least, that Otton returned to practice as a limited participant Wednesday, as Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
