  • Elijah Cooks WR | CAR

Elijah Cooks: Headed for free agency

Cooks was waived by the Jaguars on Tuesday.

Cooks appeared in nine games with Jacksonville last season, making three catches on four targets for 38 yards, all of which were recorded in Week 16 against the Buccaneers. The 25-year-old could be a candidate to remain with the franchise as a member of its practice squad.

  • Joshua Cephus WR | JAC

    Joshua Cephus: Gets let go

Cephus was waived by the Jaguars on Tuesday.

Cephus joined Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent after a successful and record-breaking senior season at UTSA, which saw him earn All-American Athletic Conference honors. The 23-year-old could be a practice squad candidate if he doesn't find any opportunities elsewhere.

  • Brandon Johnson: Cut by Denver

The Broncos waived Johnson on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.

Johnson was a favorite of coach Sean Payton last season, seeing action in 13 games while making a pair of starts. He finished with 19 catches for 284 yards and four touchdowns on 30 targets spanning 343 offensive snaps. With the additions of Josh Reynolds and rookie fourth-rounder Troy Franklin, Johnson loses his spot on the 53-man roster. There's a solid chance the Broncos view him as a practice squad candidate.

  • David Wallis WR | NE

David Wallis: Let go by New England

The Patriots waived Wallis on Tuesday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

The undrafted rookie caught two passes for 16 scoreless yards across 57 offensive snaps this preseason. Perhaps Wallis will be a candidate for New England's practice squad.

  • Dee Eskridge: Dumped by Seattle

The Seahawks waived Eskridge on Tuesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.

The Seahawks used the No. 56 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft on Eskridge, but he was never able to stay healthy and failed to force his way onto the field when he was available. Eskridge wraps up his Seattle career with 17 catches for 122 yards and one touchdown on 34 targets across 24 regular-season games. The 27-year-old also has an ability to return kicks and will look for a fresh start elsewhere.

  • Jaylen Johnson WR | LAC

    Jaylen Johnson: Waived by Chargers

The Chargers waived Johnson on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Johnson went undrafted out of East Carolina back in April and latched on with Los Angeles for the offseason. He finished the preseason with three catches for 53 yards on 49 offensive snaps.

  • Anthony Miller WR | BAL

    Anthony Miller: Released by Baltimore

The Ravens released Miller on Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Miller signed with the Ravens earlier this month as a camp body and caught four passes for 25 yards on 30 offensive snaps this preseason. He turns 30 in October and hasn't recorded a regular-season catch since the 2021 campaign. Miller's NFL leash is getting short.

  • Qadir Ismail TE | CHI

    Qadir Ismail: Gets let go

Ismail was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday.

Ismail signed with Baltimore in May after impressing during the team's rookie minicamp. However, the Samford product was ultimately unable to parlay that into a 53-man roster spot.

  • Andy Isabella: Cut by Buffalo

The Bills released Isabella on Tuesday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Selected with the No. 62 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Cardinals, Isabella was cut by Arizona in October of 2022 and has spent the last couple years bouncing around the practice squads and active rosters of the Ravens and Bills. Now 27, Isabella is running out of time in the NFL and hasn't caught a regular-season pass since he left the Cardinals.

  • Mitchell Tinsley: Let go by Washington

The Commanders waived Tinsley on Tuesday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.

Tinsley appeared in two games for Washington last season, playing three offensive snaps and another seven on special teams. Tinsley was busy during the preseason, seeing 13 targets, but he caught just six of them for 45 scoreless yards.
