  • Alex Erickson WR | HOU

Commanders' Alex Erickson: Elevated from practice squad

Erickson was elevated to the active roster Saturday.

Erickson was called up to the active roster for the second straight week ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. The 30-year-old receiver is expected to handle punt return duties with regular returner Dax Milne (foot) out once again.

  • Bills' Jamison Crowder: May return before season's end

Crowder (ankle) said this week that he's targeting a return to action in late December, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports. "It's just all about how I'm feeling at that point and how well the rehab has gone," Crowder noted.

Crowder has been sidelined since breaking his ankle Week 4, which required surgery to insert a plate. He's since been able to resume walking a little less than a month ago and also running on an underwater treadmill for the past two weeks. The next step for Crowder is upgrading to running on an anti-gravity treadmill, with the aim to begin jogging on the field in about "two weeks." The Bills are unlikely to rush him back on the field, especially if they end up landing free-agent wideout Odell Beckham (knee) and otherwise don't suffer any additional losses in the receiving corps. In the end, though, Crowder may make a late-season cameo with a long playoff run potentially on the horizon.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Questionable after limited practice

Samuel (quad) didn't do much at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.

Coach Kyle Shanahan revealed Friday that Samuel is dealing with a deep thigh bruise from a hard hit he took in last week's 13-0 win over the Saints (i.e., it's unrelated to the hamstring injury that had Samuel on the injury report last week). The star wide receiver could end up a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff after sandwiching limited practices Wednesday and Friday around an absence Thursday. Possibilities for the weekend include being active and handling a lesser-than-usual role, though Samuel typically has taken on full workloads when playing through injuries/pain.

  • Tylan Wallace WR | CLE

Ravens' Tylan Wallace: Won't play Sunday

Wallace (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Denver.

Wallace popped up on the injury report Thursday as a limited participant due to a hamstring injury and was downgraded to a non-participant Friday. He's played primarily on special teams over his past two appearances, so the second-year wideout's absence shouldn't have a major impact on Baltimore's passing attack.

  • Nico Collins WR | HOU

Texans' Nico Collins: Set for more work with Cooks out

Collins is in line for more work Sunday against the Browns with Brandin Cooks (calf) unavailable, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

The Texans' passing game isn't exactly running on all cylinders at the moment with quarterback Kyle Allen running the offense. During Allen's 215-yard, one-touchdown and two-interception performance on 26-for-39 passing this past Sunday in Miami, Collins accounted for six catches (on nine targets) for 44 yards. Still, Collins will be facing a Cleveland defense that has given up the 11th-most YPT (8.5) to opposing wide receivers this season, so an elevated target share may result in a fruitful outing for him this weekend.

  • Seahawks' Marquise Goodwin: Ready to go

Goodwin (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Rams, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

It seems Goodwin's illness isn't serious, as the Seahawks are ready to remove him from the injury report one day after they added him to it. There aren't many targets available for the No. 3 receiver in a balanced offense that uses a lot of multi-TE sets, but Goodwin has done well with the passes he's seen in recent weeks and appears locked into his role. The former Olympian gives QB Geno Smith a third deep threat on top of standouts DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

  • Romeo Doubs WR | NE

Packers' Romeo Doubs: Questionable to suit up

Doubs (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Chicago, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Dobbs returned to practice Wednesday after missing three weeks with a high-ankle sprain, and after three straight days of limited practices it's unclear if he'll miss a fourth game. It's also unclear how much playing time he'll get if he's active, as the Packers have Allen Lazard, Christian Watson and Randall Cobb all healthy ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Doubs might only be the No. 4 receiver, if he avoids the inactive list.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

Chiefs' Kadarius Toney: Sidelined again Sunday

Toney (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest in Cincinnati.

Since picking up a hamstring injury during the first half of the Chiefs' Week 11 road win against the Chargers, Toney hasn't been unable to practice and now will miss a second consecutive game. He'll set his sights on returning to action Sunday, Dec. 11 at Denver, but in the meantime JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will serve as Kansas City's top wide receivers, with Justin Watson and Skyy Moore available for any wide receiver reps that linger.

  • Russell Gage WR | SF

Buccaneers' Russell Gage: Another limited practice

Gage (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Friday.

Gage has now practiced on back-to-back days after not doing so at all since Week 7. He's close to a return, but it might not happen for Monday's game against the Saints, especially given that the Bucs don't need him as much with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Julio Jones all healthy at the moment.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Practices fully, listed as questionable

Chase (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs after practicing fully Friday, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

At this stage, Chase is trending toward a return to action this weekend following a four-game absence due to a hip injury. "He did everything we needed to see," coach Zac Taylor noted Friday of the wideout's running and cutting. "I hate to use the words 'for sure,' but I'm optimistic. He's on track." Added context regarding Chase's Week 13 status should arrive late Saturday or early Sunday, but either way it will still be worth confirming his status when the Bengals' inactives are posted ahead of the team's 4:25 ET kickoff.
