Turpin played six of the Cowboys' 57 snaps on offense in Sunday's 49-29 win over the Bears, finishing with one carry for 11 yards.

Though he's listed as a receiver on the Cowboys' official roster, Turpin has logged three carries (for 17 yards) compared to one target through his first eight NFL games. In addition to serving as the Cowboys' top option on kickoff and punt returns, the 5-foot-9, 153-pound Turpin is expected to continue to see most of his limited opportunities on offense as a gadget player during the second half of the season.

Dotson (hamstring) isn't practicing Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Dotson hasn't played since Week 4 due to a lingering hamstring injury, an issue which he reportedly aggravated recently. The Commanders haven't offered a timetable for the rookie first-round receiver's return to the lineup, but he has only two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's contest against the Vikings.

Davis (knee) won't practice Wednesday.

Head coach Robert Saleh said Wednesday that Davis is considered "day-to-day" and is "on the fence" to play in this weekend's game against the Bills. In Davis' absence this past Sunday against the Patriots, rookie Garrett Wilson caught six of his seven targets for a career-high 115 yards, while Denzel Mims chipped in two catches for 76 yards.

Hodgins was let go Tuesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

Hodgins, a sixth-round pick from 2020, saw action in two games for the Bills this season and even caught four balls in the win vs. Pittsburgh, but the team made two trades Tuesday and had to free up some roster room. With a deep wide receiver room, Hodgins was the choice, though we could see the team bringing him back for a depth role or practice squad spot if another organization doesn't pick him up.

Anderson was targeted three times but didn't record a catch during Sunday's 34-26 defeat at Minnesota.

Among the Cardinals' five available wide receivers, Anderson finished fifth in terms of offensive snap count (seven of 78). Through two games with Arizona since a trade from Carolina, Anderson doesn't have a reception on four targets, and without an injury or role change to one of the players in front of him, he currently doesn't have a clear path to regular work.

Cain was officially cut from the Eagles' practice squad Tuesday.

Cain spent training camp with Philadelphia and was added to the team's practice squad after not making their 53-man roster. The 26-year-old hasn't appeared in an NFL game since 2020 with the Steelers, but he'll continue to work to earn an opportunity to play again.

Irwin reverted to the Bengals' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Irwin was brought up by Cincinnati prior to Monday night's game versus the Browns, where he turned 23 offensive snaps into two receptions for 27 yards in the contest. The 26-year-old played less snaps than fellow WRs Tee Higgins (52), Tyler Boyd (51) and Mike Thomas (24), but he ultimately logged more than Trent Taylor (7), with Ja'Marr Chase (hip) and Stanley Morgan (hamstring) both ruled out for the game. While it doesn't look like Chase will return in time for Sunday's matchup against Carolina, and Morgan's status remains up in the air, Irwin could find himself in another complementary role in Week 9 should he be elevated again later in the week.

The 49ers cut Turner from their practice squad Tuesday, per the team's official site.

While Turner has already been elevated to San Fransisco's active roster three times so far this season, he'll now need to sign with the 49ers' 53-man roster in order to be eligible to play for the team again in 2022. In the three contests for which he suited up, the 26-year-old primarily served as a special teams contributor.

Campbell caught both of his targets for 43 yards and also recorded a 28-yard carry during Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Commanders.

After opening the season with just 112 receiving yards through the first five games, Campbell has caught fire over the last three, gathering in 19 of 25 targets for 170 yards and two touchdowns. He also bolstered his Week 8 stat line with his first rush since 2020, which doubled as the team's longest play on the ground. Campbell will look to keep up his hot streak Sunday at New England, whose defense has allowed the 13th-most yards per target (8.5) to opposing wideouts this year.

The 49ers signed Snead to their practice squad Tuesday, per the team's official site.

Since late August, Snead has gone back and forth between the 49ers' practice squad and their active roster, so this transaction doesn't come with much surprise. However, the veteran receiver could find himself back on the team's 53-man roster after San Fransisco's Week 9 bye if either Deebo Samuel (hamstring) or Jauan Jennings (hamstring) are unable to gain medical clearance in time for the 49ers' Week 10 matchup against the Chargers.
