Hardman recorded three receptions (on six targets) for 16 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 44-21 win over the Cardinals.

Hardman played 56 percent of the offensive snaps in the opener, ranking behind both Marquez Valdes-Scantling and JuJu Smith-Schuster. While the six targets are an encouraging number, the fact that he turned them into just three grabs for just 16 yards -- albeit with a score -- isn't particularly appealing from a fantasy perspective. However, two of his incompletions came on passes where he was targeted 20-plus yards down the field, so there's optimism for some significant gains if he can connect with quarterback Patrick Mahomes on some of those moving forward.

Valdes-Scantling reeled in all four of his targets for 44 yards and rushed once for a loss of three yards Sunday versus the Cardinals.

Valdes-Scantling tied for fourth on the team in targets, falling behind Travis Kelce (nine), JuJu Smith-Schuster (eight) and Mecole Hardman (six) while matching Jerick McKinnon on the day. On a more positive note, MVS did log the most snaps of any pass catcher in the contest (51), suggesting some more productive days may be ahead of him.

Allen remains likely to miss Thursday's game against Kansas City, but the Chargers are optimistic his hamstring injury isn't a long-term concern, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

After exiting the Chargers' Week 1 win over the Raiders, Allen is facing an uphill battle to make it back on the field given Week 2's quick turnaround, but his absence from game action might not last any longer than that. According to Pelissero, recent tests on his hamstring didn't reveal a significant injury, leaving the team optimistic the wideout will be ready to go for its Week 3 matchup with the Jaguars. Even though Allen isn't expected to practice Tuesday or Wednesday, the Chargers will likely wait at least one more day before formally ruling the receiver out for Thursday's contest. Wideouts Mike Williams, Joshua Palmer and DeAndre Carter, tight end Gerald Everett and running back Austin Ekeler are likely to represent the top targets in the passing game for quarterback Justin Herbert during Allen's absence.

Guyton did not record a reception on his lone target in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Raiders.

Guyton saw just five offensive snaps despite a midgame injury to Keenan Allen (hamstring). After an uneven training camp in which Guyton clearly fell behind both Joshua Palmer and DeAndre Carter on the depth chart, it's obvious the speedster has completely fallen out of favor with the coaching staff and likely shouldn't be rostered in most fantasy formats.

Palmer registered three receptions on four targets for five yards in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Raiders. He also carried the ball once for four yards.

After Keenan Allen left midway through the second quarter with a hamstring injury, there was a window for Palmer to make an impact. While the second-year wide receiver did play 50 snaps, easily the second most among wide receivers behind Mike Williams, Palmer was unable to do anything with the increased workload. Instead DeAndre Carter drew the extra attention from Justin Herbert, and he capitalized with two 20-yard receptions including one that went for a score. Allen is expected to miss a bit of time, which should open the door for Palmer to see more volume.

Young wasn't targeted in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

Young logged four offensive snaps and is seemingly the fifth wide receiver in Seattle's offense. The rookie seventh-round pick still needs to develop before he makes a real impact in the NFL.

Goodwin caught both of his targets for 22 yards in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

Goodwin finished third among Seahawks wide receivers with 28 offensive snaps, which was far ahead of 2021 second-round pick Dee Eskridge, who played just five snaps. A downfield threat, Goodwin could break a few big plays this year as long as he stays healthy, although Seattle's passing game under Geno Smith will be conservative and the team already has big-play options in Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.

Eskridge caught one of his two targets for no gain in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

Head coach Pete Carroll had a couple of schemed plays ready for Eskridge, but the 2021 second-round pick couldn't capitalize on the opportunity. Eskridge played just five offensive snaps, which ranked fourth among Seahawks wide receivers and just one ahead of rookie Dareke Young.

Lockett caught three of four targets for 28 yards in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

Seattle never trailed in the game, so Geno Smith didn't have to look Lockett's way downfield as the Seahawks stayed on schedule with a mix of runs and short passes. Lockett's four targets tied for second on the team with Noah Fant behind DK Metcalf's seven. All of Seattle's top pass-catchers could see more volume in Week 2 against the 49ers if the Seahawks fall behind as expected.

Metcalf caught all seven of his targets for 36 yards and lost a fumble in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.

One play after showing off his hands and strength to pluck the ball out of the air for a 15-yard gain on third-and-10, Metcalf got greedy on a short pass and had the ball punched out as he was fighting for extra yardage. That fumble was sandwiched between a pair of Broncos fumbles inside Seattle's five-yard line, so Metcalf's miscue didn't wind up costing his team. Big downfield plays could be rare for Metcalf in a conservative Seattle offense helmed by Geno Smith, but the athletic wide receiver was the top option in the passing game, as no teammate saw more than four targets. Metcalf and the Seahawks will face the 49ers in Week 2.
