Willie Snead WR | MIA
Willie Snead: Dropped from practice squad
Snead was released from the 49ers' practice squad Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Snead initially joined San Francisco's practice squad after he was let go as part of the team's final roster cuts Aug. 30. The 29-year-old recorded 33 receptions for 432 yards and three touchdowns with the Ravens in 2020, but he hauled in just three passes for 32 yards over seven games with Las Vegas last year. Snead eventually finished the 2021 campaign on the Panthers' practice squad, and he will now likely look to join up with a new team in need of veteran wide receiver depth this regular season.

Jalen Nailor WR | LV
Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Clear of concussion
Nailor (concussion) was not listed on the Vikings' injury report Wednesday.
Nailor appears to have recovered from a concussion suffered during Minnesota's final preseason game Aug. 27. The rookie sixth-round pick spent time returning both punts and kicks during his collegiate career at Michigan State, and he should primarily work on special teams during the Vikings' season opener against Green Bay on Sunday.
-
Deebo Samuel WR | SF
49ers' Deebo Samuel: Not on injury report
Samuel (knee) wasn't listed on the 49ers' injury report Wednesday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
After the preseason concluded, Samuel was revealed to be dealing with a bruise behind his knee. He proceeded to miss a week of drills, but he returned to the field Monday and didn't have any limitations at the first official session of Week 1 prep Wednesday, fulfilling the lack of worry about the injury. With his health confirmed, Samuel will gear up for Sunday's visit to Chicago, where he'll be working with new starting quarterback Trey Lance.

Allen Lazard WR | NYJ
Packers' Allen Lazard: Tending to ankle issue
Lazard didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Lazard's availability for Week 1 at Minnesota has come into question since Monday, when the wide receiver sat out Green Bay's workout with an unknown health concern. Head coach Matt LaFleur told Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette on Wednesday that Lazard was stepped on in practice at some point last week, and the Packers' subsequent injury report revealed the nature of the issue. Lazard has two more chances to get back on the field this week, but Friday's injury report eventually could decide his fate for Sunday's contest.
-
Rondale Moore WR | MIN
Cardinals' Rondale Moore: Cleared for Week 1
Moore (undisclosed) wasn't listed on the Cardinals' injury report Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
After the conclusion of Arizona's preseason slate, head coach Kliff Kingsbury included Moore among three other Cardinals players as being a "close call" for Week 1, according to Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com. With a full session now behind him, the 2021 second-round pick is good to go for a matchup with Kansas City on Sunday, when he'll be looking to fill some of the void left by the suspended DeAndre Hopkins along with Marquise Brown and A.J. Green. As a rookie last season, Moore, racked up 511 yards from scrimmage and one receiving score on 72 touches.
-
Byron Pringle WR | WAS
Bears' Byron Pringle: Cleared for Week 1
Pringle (groin) isn't listed on the Bears' initial injury report for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Pringle moved past his preseason groin injury and now faces a tough defense to start the season, though San Francisco's strength lies up front rather than in the secondary. The Bears list Equanimeous St. Brown ahead of Pringle as a starter on their first depth chart of the regular season, but the slotting looks fluid behind clear No. 1 receiver Darnell Mooney.
-
Treylon Burks WR | WAS
Titans' Treylon Burks: Healthy for Week 1
Burks isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Tennessee's season opener against the Giants on Sunday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Burks suffered a minor wrist injury in the final week of the preseason, but he returned to the game not much later and ended up scoring a touchdown. While his extended playing time this preseason led to a lot of negative attention, Burks should get his chances sooner or later in an otherwise unimpressive Titans receiving corps. The team is counting on Robert Woods to bounce back from an ACL tear, while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is listed as the other starter on the depth chart. Burks could rotate with one or both of them, even if he technically isn't a starter.
-
Christian Watson WR | GB
Packers' Christian Watson: Notches full practice
Watson (knee) practiced fully Wednesday, Jason Wilde of ESPN.com reports.
Watson was sidelined at the outset of training camp due to an offseason knee procedure and didn't make his first appearance at practice until Aug. 14. He subsequently didn't play during exhibition season, along with the Packers' top three other wide receivers on the depth chart (Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins and Randall Cobb). Lazard's status for Sunday's game in Minnesota is up in the air due to an ankle injury, which could result in decent run for Watson, the 34th overall pick in this year's draft, right off the bat.
-
Ty Montgomery WR | NE
Patriots' Ty Montgomery: Limited by knee injury
Montgomery was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a knee injury, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
As Cox notes, Montgomery left New England's preseason finale with an ankle issue, but Wednesday's practice report lists him with a different injury. Either way, if Montgomery is available this weekend against the Dolphins, he's a candidate to help fill the change-of-pace/pass-catching void created by the retirement of James White. If Montgomery is out or limited, however, rookie Pierre Strong could see added touches behind top early-down options Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson.
-
Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET
Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Dealing with groin injury
Smith missed Wednesday's practice with a groin injury.
Smith dealt with a shoulder injury in late August, but this is the first report of a groin injury. A potential absence for Smith in Sunday's game in Atlanta shouldn't affect the Saints' game plan one way or another, with the wideout relegated to a depth role in 2022 after the team signed Jarvis Landry and drafted Chris Olave. If Michael Thomas (hamstring) is also available, Smith will be the Saints' fifth or sixth wide receiver.
