Dante Pettis WR | BUF
Bears' Dante Pettis: Earns roster spot
Pettis has secured a spot on the Bears' 53-man roster, according to the team's official site.
Although Pettis was reported to have had an inconsistent start to training camp, he played well with the first-string offense in Chicago's final preseason game by posting 37 yards and a touchdown. He'll be in the mix to earn snaps as a depth receiver with Tajae Sharpe and Equanimeous St. Brown.

N'Keal Harry TE | SEA
Bears' N'Keal Harry: Makes final roster
Harry (ankle) is one of seven receivers on the Bears' roster, according to the team's official site.
Harry is expected to miss time to start the season as he recovers from surgery that addressed a high-ankle sprain. When he returns, he'll compete for a depth role with Equanimeous St. Brown, Dante Pettis and Tajae Sharpe.

Isaiah Hodgins WR | NYG
Isaiah Hodgins: Waived by Bills
Buffalo waived Hodgins on Tuesday.
Despite being the Bills' co-leader in receptions in their preseason finale at Carolina on Friday, the 2020 sixth-rounder was ultimately let go ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. Assuming he isn't claimed during the current waiver period, Hodgins will become an unrestricted free agent.
-
Trenton Irwin WR | SF
Trenton Irwin: Waived by Cincinnati
The Bengals waived Irwin on Tuesday.
Irwin appeared in seven games for the Bengals last season, catching two of five targets for 34 yards. However, he finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. If he clears waivers, it's possible Cincinnati brings him back on a practice squad deal.

Michael Gallup WR | WAS
Cowboys' Michael Gallup: Avoids reserve/PUP list
Gallup (knee) has a spot on the Cowboys' initial 53-man roster, avoiding the reserve/PUP list and a minimum four-game absence, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Both Gallup and team officials have said the wideout is unlikely to play Week 1, but the expectation is he will suit up within the first four games of the season. In fact, team owner Jerry Jones said Gallup would be healthy enough to play Week 1 "if it were the Super Bowl," before noting that the team wants to be cautious with a long season ahead. Gallup spent all of August on the active/PUP list, but now that he's on the roster he can practice with his teammates if/when he's deemed ready.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside WR | ATL
J.J. Arcega-Whiteside: Misses final roster
Arcega-Whiteside was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Arcega-Whiteside arrived in Seattle during training camp via a trade from Philadelphia. He subsequently reverted back to wide receiver after an experiment switching to tight end for the Eagles last season. The 2019 second-round pick was ultimately unable to make enough of an impression to land spot on the final roster.
-
Dez Fitzpatrick WR | LAC
Dez Fitzpatrick: Waived by Titans
The Titans waived Fitzpatrick on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The 2021 fourth-round pick had a nice opportunity to compete for playing time in a remade WR room, but he apparently couldn't make an impression and instead lands on the wrong side of the roster bubble. Fitzpatrick caught five passes in four games as a rookie and will turn 25 by the end of the 2022 NFL season.

Jalen Nailor WR | LV
Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Wins spot on 53-man roster
Nailor (concussion) made Minnesota's 53-man roster, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Nailor suffered a concussion in the final preseason game and can be considered questionable ahead of the Vikings' season opener versus the Packers on Sept. 11. When healthy, he'll likely get most of his snaps on special teams and could get time as a punt or kick returner.

Penny Hart WR | ATL
Seahawks' Penny Hart: Secures spot on 53-man roster
Hart was named to the initial 53-man roster Tuesday.
Hart beat out third-year pro Freddie Swain and rookie Bo Melton for one of the Seahawks' six wide receiver slots. It's surprising that the Seahawks chose to keep Hart around considering he has registered just 81 yards from scrimmage through 30 NFL games. Hart will get the occasional scripted play in 2022, but fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned about his usage.
