Penny Hart WR | ATL
Seahawks' Penny Hart: Secures spot on 53-man roster
Hart was named to the initial 53-man roster Tuesday.
Hart beat out third-year pro Freddie Swain and rookie Bo Melton for one of the Seahawks' six wide receiver slots. It's surprising that the Seahawks chose to keep Hart around considering he has registered just 81 yards from scrimmage through 30 NFL games. Hart will get the occasional scripted play in 2022, but fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned about his usage.

Dareke Young WR | LV
Seahawks' Dareke Young: Survives cutdown day
The Seahawks announced on Tuesday that Young earned a spot on the 53-man roster.
A seventh-round pick out of Division II Lenoir-Rhyne, Young beat out third-year receiver Freddie Swain and rookie Bo Melton -- who was was selected four picks ahead of Young. The Seahawks had six receivers on their initial 53-man roster. Young isn't expected to have much of an impact this season, but his tools are intriguing for a long-term project. After all, he ran a 4.47 40-yard dash at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds.

Keke Coutee WR | MIA
Keke Coutee: Released by Indianapolis
Coutee was released by the Colts on Tuesday.
Coutee looked likely to make the 53-man roster but missed some time with a groin injury. He's a candidate to be signed to Indy's practice squad. He got reps in the slot behind Parris Campbell during training camp, so it's possible he could still be viewed as an injury fill-in from the practice squad.

Mike Strachan WR | WAS
Colts' Mike Strachan: Wins last WR spot
Strachan has won a spot on Indy's 53-man roster, 107.5 FM The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Strachan and Dezmon Patmon won the final two spots on the wide receiver depth chart. Strachan likely begins the season as the No. 6 receiver since he's working his way back from knee surgery this summer. Strachan had four receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown in two preseason games.

Trinity Benson WR | CLE
Trinity Benson: Let go with injury designation
The Lions waived Benson (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
The extent of the injury remains unclear, but he presumably picked it up during Sunday's preseason finale, which he finished with one catch for eight yards on six targets across 26 offensive snaps. If he clears waivers, the 25-year-old wideout will revert to the Lions' injured reserve list, which -- barring an injury settlement -- would end his 2022 campaign.

Dezmon Patmon WR | CAR
Colts' Dezmon Patmon: Wins spot on 53-man roster
Patmon has won a spot on Indy's 53-man roster, 107.5 FM The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Patmon and Mike Strachan won the final two spots on the wide receiver depth chart. Patmon had a strong preseason with nine receptions for 171 yards and a touchdown in three games. Patmon likely enters the season as the No. 5 receiver, but he will mostly play on special teams barring injuries.
-
Jason Moore WR | DET
Jason Moore: Let go by LAC
The Chargers waived Moore on Tuesday.
Moore didn't play in the team's preseason opener and caught just two of 11 targets during the final two exhibition games, so it isn't surprising to see him let go. The fourth-year wideout has appeared in 14 games over the last three seasons in Los Angeles, recording five receptions on nine targets for 99 yards. He'll be a possible practice squad candidate if he clears waivers.
-
Joe Reed WR | CHI
Joe Reed: Waived by Bolts
The Chargers waived Reed on Tuesday.
Reed flashed during the team's preseason opener, catching four of five targets for 61 yards and a score, but he failed to make an impact in the second exhibition game and didn't play in the finale. The 2020 fifth-round pick appeared in 11 games as a rookie, mostly operating on special teams, but hasn't played in a regular season game since.
-
Jalen Camp WR | CLE
Jalen Camp: Let go by Texans
Houston waived Camp on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Camp looks like a strong candidate to end up on the Texans' practice squad if he clears waivers, per Wilson. The 6-foot-2 wideout reportedly put together a solid preseason and could have earned more time to develop with the team.
