Robbie Chosen WR | WAS
Panthers' Robbie Anderson: Ramping up
Anderson (hip/quad) is "ramping back up" after missing practice last week, according to Joe Person of The Athletic.
The wideout made a brief appearance in Carolina's first preseason game and missed the second. Even if he misses the preseason finale, Anderson should have time to get ready for Week 1.

Slade Bolden WR | ATL
Slade Bolden: Waived with injury designation
The Ravens waived Bolden (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Bolden signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in May, but he dealt with an undisclosed issue throughout training camp. The rookie will revert to Baltimore's injured reserve list if he clears waivers.

Jaylon Moore WR | JAC
Jaylon Moore: Waived by Baltimore
The Ravens waived Moore on Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Moore signed a futures/reserve contract with the Ravens in January after spending his second straight season on Baltimore's practice squad. He's yet to make his NFL debut.

Tylan Wallace WR | CLE
Ravens' Tylan Wallace: Returns from knee sprain
Wallace (knee) returned to practice Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Wallace suffered a minor knee sprain in Baltimore's preseason opener and then sat out the second game. He could return for Saturday's exhibition with Washington, perhaps getting one last chance to make his case for regular-season playing time in a WR group where things look fairly open behind Rashod Bateman. It does seem Devin Duvernay and James Proche are ahead of Wallace, but a rotation to start the season wouldn't be surprising.
-
Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | MIA
Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Limited at practice
Marshall (hamstring) was limited at Tuesday's practice after returning Monday as a full participant, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
It might be a sign he tried to come back from a hamstring strain too soon, but it could also just be caution on the Panthers' part. Either way, the missed time has prevented Marshall from making his case for a top-three spot at wide receiver, though he's far from the only Carolina wideout that's been banged up this summer. Rashard Higgins, however, has been healthy, and he's arguably Marshall's biggest competition for the No. 3 WR job.

Blake Proehl WR | MIN
Vikings' Blake Proehl: Switches PUP lists
Proehl (knee) was switched from the active/PUP to reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.
Proehl will now be forced to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. The 23-year-old suffered a torn ACL during training camp last season, and he's not quite ready to return to action. Proehl joined the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina last spring, and drew praise during camp before suffering the injury.

Cam Sims WR | CAR
Commanders' Cam Sims: Locks up No. 4 spot
Sims looks to have won Washington's No. 4 receiver spot, according to Ben Standig of The Athletic
It's a familiar role for Sims, who made 10 starts in 2020 and three in 2021. He owns career marks of 14.6 yards per catch and 9.7 yards per target, but with consistently low rates of targets per route. Like many oversized receivers, the 6-foot-5 Sims struggles to get open but can make contested catches and has value on special teams. In terms of fantasy potential, 2021 third-round pick Dyami Brown might be slightly more interesting as a fill-in starter, though it isn't a good sign that he's fallen behind Sims on the back end of the depth chart for a second straight year.
-
Jahan Dotson WR | ATL
Commanders' Jahan Dotson: Poised for every-down role
Dotson is in position for a nearly every-down role to start the season, according to Ben Standig of The Athletic.
The Commanders played their starters for chunks of the first two preseason games, and it was consistently Dotson running alongside Terry McLaurin, with Curtis Samuel then coming on as the third receiver. Offensive coordinator Scott Turner uses three-wide formations a lot however, and may do so even more this year given the state of the team's depth chart at tight end. While new quarterback Carson Wentz comes with his own question marks, Dotson should run plenty of routes (if nothing else) when the Commanders open their season against the Jaguars.
-
Jaquarii Roberson WR | LAR
Jaquarii Roberson: Done in Dallas
The Cowboys waived Roberson on Tuesday, Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com reports.
The rookie UDFA out of Wake Forest ended up being with Dallas for just a few months. Now, assuming another team doesn't claim Roberson during the current waiver period, he'll become an unrestricted free agent. In the meantime, his absence will open up additional opportunities for Dennis Houston, KaVontae Turpin, Brandon Smith and others.

JuJu Smith-Schuster WR | NYG
Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Should be ready for Week 1
Coach Andy Reid relayed Tuesday that Smith-Schuster (knee) has "turned the corner" and should be fine for the start of the regular season, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
The report notes that Smith-Schuster has been dealing with knee soreness since Aug. 15, the Monday after Kansas City's first preseason game. The wideout won't play in Thursday's exhibition finale, after which he can turn his focus to getting ready for Week 1 against the Cardinals. Once he's back at practice and up to speed, Smith-Schuster is slated to be a key cog in a wide receiver corps that no longer includes Tyreek Hill. Also in the mix for their share of early-season WR snaps are Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mecole Hardman and Skyy Moore.
