  • Treylon Burks WR | WAS

Titans' Treylon Burks: Leaves practice early

Burks exited Wednesday's practice early due to an unspecified injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Until more information is available on what caused Burks to depart the practice session, consider the rookie wideout day-to-day in advance of Saturday's preseason game against the Buccaneers.

  • Robbie Chosen WR | WAS

Panthers' Robbie Anderson: Dealing with quad injury

Head coach Matt Rhule said Wednesday that Anderson isn't practicing due to a quadriceps injury, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.

Anderson only has a handful of days to recover before Friday's preseason game against the Patriots, seemingly making him an unlikely candidate to suit up for that contest. The severity of the veteran wideout's injury is uncertain, but as long as Anderson remains away from the practice field, Terrace Marshall and Rashard Higgins will benefit from increased first-team reps.

  • Mecole Hardman WR | BUF

    Chiefs' Mecole Hardman: Injures groin

Hardman left Wednesday's practice with a groin injury, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.

Initial reports haven't indicated the severity of Hardman's injury, but for now he should be considered day-to-day as Saturday's preseason contest against the Commanders approaches. When healthy, Hardman is a candidate to see an expanded role in Kansas City's passing game following the offseason departure of wideout Tyreek Hill.

  • Malik Taylor WR | DET

Malik Taylor: Waived with injury designation

The Packers waived Taylor (undisclosed) with an injury designation Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Taylor was sidelined for the first couple weeks of training camp due to a shoulder injury but returned to practice in a limited fashion Aug. 7. However, he didn't see any action during the Packers' preseason opener and has since been let go with an injury designation, though it's unclear if the two injuries are related. The undrafted receiver out of Ferris State appeared in 25 games over the last two seasons in Green Bay, but he was a long shot to make the roster after strong performances from rookie wideouts Romeo Doubs and Samori Toure. Taylor will revert to the Packers' injured reserve list if he clears waivers, which -- barring an injury settlement -- would end his 2022 campaign.

  • Mecole Hardman WR | BUF

Chiefs' Mecole Hardman: Exits Wednesday's practice

Hardman left Wednesday's practice after suffering an apparent leg injury, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

Per Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star, Hardman limped to the medical tent during the course of Wednesday's 11-on-11 drills, so his situation is one to monitor. For now, consider the wideout day-to-day as Saturday's preseason game against Washington approaches.

  • Seahawks' Marquise Goodwin: Remains sidelined but doing well

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Goodwin (hamstring) is "doing well" after missing the preseason opener, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

Goodwin was off to a good start at training camp before a hamstring issue flared up at practice ahead of Seattle's preseason opener. It appears like the speedster is progressing well, but it's unclear if he'll play in Thursday's exhibition contest against the Bears. Regardless, once healthy, he figures to compete for snaps with Freddie Swain, Dee Eskridge (hamstring) and Bo Melton, behind usual starters DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Dealing with minor injury

Waddle is day-to-day with a minor unspecified injury, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Waddle didn't practice Tuesday, though head coach Mike McDaniel said the wideout wanted to suit up and was held out by the medical staff to prevent any aggravation. The injury doesn't sound like a threat to his Week 1 availability, and Waddle should be back on the practice field soon enough.

  • David Bell WR | CLE

    Browns' David Bell: Increases reps

Bell received his most significant work of training camp to date Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Bell's activity included multiple red-zone targets from quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is the leader of the first-team offense for now. The rookie receiver's introduction to camp was delayed by a foot injury, and Bell was held out of last week's preseason game. His increased workload is a sign that's he's close or at full speed. Bell is expected to work with the first team during joint practices with the Eagles on Thursday and Friday before the two teams play their second preseason game Sunday.

  • Browns' Anthony Schwartz: Bounces back after two-drop game

Schwartz made a highlight-reel catch during Tuesday's session, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.

Schwartz made news during Cleveland's preseason opener against the Jaguars last Friday, when he dropping two passes from quarterback Deshaun Watson. The wideout was able to move past the disappointing showing in the opener to make an impressive catch with the first-team offense Tuesday, an over-the-shoulder grab of a Jacoby Brissett pass while sliding into the pylon for what would have been a touchdown. Schwartz has had ups and downs since being drafted in the third round last year, so he's had some practice at being resilient. He's currently penciled in as the fourth wideout behind Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and rookie slot man David Bell.

  • Mike Harley WR | MIA

Browns' Mike Harley: Returns to practice

Harley (ankle) was back at practice Tuesday after leaving the previous day's session early, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.

Harley walked off the field Monday accompanied by team training staff, but the absence was a short one. As a testament to the ankle being fine, during Tuesday's session, Harley made a nice leaping catch over cornerback Parnell Motley, but the receiver's feet landed out of bounds. He's in a battle for the fifth wideout job, as the Browns prepare for two days of joint practice with Eagles leading up to Sunday's preseason matchup between the two teams.
