Anthony Schwartz WR | MIA
Browns' Anthony Schwartz: Bounces back after two-drop game
Schwartz made a highlight-reel catch during Tuesday's session, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.
Schwartz made news during Cleveland's preseason opener against the Jaguars last Friday, when he dropping two passes from quarterback Deshaun Watson. The wideout was able to move past the disappointing showing in the opener to make an impressive catch with the first-team offense Tuesday, an over-the-shoulder grab of a Jacoby Brissett pass while sliding into the pylon for what would have been a touchdown. Schwartz has had ups and downs since being drafted in the third round last year, so he's had some practice at being resilient. He's currently penciled in as the fourth wideout behind Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and rookie slot man David Bell.

Mike Harley WR | MIA
Browns' Mike Harley: Returns to practice
Harley (ankle) was back at practice Tuesday after leaving the previous day's session early, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.
Harley walked off the field Monday accompanied by team training staff, but the absence was a short one. As a testament to the ankle being fine, during Tuesday's session, Harley made a nice leaping catch over cornerback Parnell Motley, but the receiver's feet landed out of bounds. He's in a battle for the fifth wideout job, as the Browns prepare for two days of joint practice with Eagles leading up to Sunday's preseason matchup between the two teams.

DeAndre Hopkins WR | BAL
Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins: Getting work in 10 personnel
The Cardinals ran some 10 personnel (one running back, zero tight ends) with Hopkins (suspension) and A.J. Green serving as outside receivers and Marquise Brown (hamstring) and Rondale Moore in the slot at Monday's practice, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Kyler Murray and Brown both practiced Monday for the first time since the start of training camp, and it appears the offense was working on Air Raid concepts, perhaps with the regular season in mind. Hopkins himself won't be able to suit up until Week 7 (Thursday, Oct. 20 against the Saints) due to his six-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, but he's at least been healthy in camp after an injury-plagued 2021. While his impact on the field won't be felt until late October, the three-time first team All-Pro could be a beneficiary of Kingsbury's game planning once he's available.
-
Gary Jennings WR | LAC
Chiefs' Gary Jennings: Heads to IR
Jennings (concussion) was placed on the Chiefs' injured reserve Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Jennings has dealt with a concussion since Aug. 6 that kept him sidelined during Kansas City's preseason opener Saturday. The 24-year-old wideout is now set to miss the entirety of the regular season, barring any injury settlement with the Chiefs this preseason.
-
Ty Fryfogle WR | KC
Ty Fryfogle: Let go with injury designation
Fryfogle (undisclosed) was waived/injured by the Cowboys on Monday, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Fryfogle was one of four players cut with an injury designation by Dallas on Monday as the team works to cut down its 90-man offseason roster. The undrafted wideout will revert to the Cowboys' injured reserve list, should no other team opt to claim him off waivers.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside WR | ATL
Seahawks' J.J. Arcega-Whiteside: Will play wideout with Seattle
Arcega-Whiteside, who worked as a tight end while with Philadelphia earlier this offseason, said Tuesday that he will move back to wide receiver after being acquired by Seattle on Monday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
The Eagles attempted to convert Arcega-Whiteside into a tight end after he caught just 16 passes for 210 yards and one touchdown over his first three seasons with the team. The 2019 second-round pick -- who stands 6-foot-2, 237 pounds -- also played more snaps on special teams (229) than on offense (161) last year, indicating just how far he had slid down the Eagles' wide receiver depth chart. Arcega-Whiteside will now have to prove himself against Seattle's fellow pass catchers Penny Hart, Aaron Fuller and Dareke Young if he wants to secure a roster spot this preseason and eventually turn around this abysmal start to his career.
-
D'Wayne Eskridge WR | MIA
Seahawks' Dee Eskridge: Drawing closer to game action
Eskridge (hamstring) won't play in Thursday's preseason contest versus the Bears, but the wide receiver is close to gaining clearance for game action, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Eskridge missed time during mandatory minicamp back in June due to a hamstring injury which lingered into training camp. He made an appearance at practice last Wednesday, albeit without pads or a helmet, but he was seen catching passes in full uniform during individual drills at Tuesday's session, according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Eskridge will have one more chance to make an appearance during the exhibition schedule on Friday, Aug. 26 at Dallas.

Demarcus Robinson WR | SF
Demarcus Robinson: Cut by Vegas
The Raiders released Robinson on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
In a somewhat surprising development, Robinson was among the first round of Raider cuts this month. The wide receiver has six years of NFL experience, all with Kansas City, but he never surpassed 45 catches, 470 yards or four TDs in a given season. Robinson will seek out another opportunity elsewhere.
-
J.J. Koski WR | DEN
Rams' J.J. Koski: Managing shoulder injury
Koski hurt his shoulder during Tuesday's scrimmage, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
The severity of Koski's injury is unclear, but head coach Sean McVay hasn't expressed too much concern about it. The 6-foot-1 receiver failed to haul in his only target during the team's preseason opener against the Chargers, and he will continue competing for a roster spot with fellow pass catchers Brandon Powell (knee) and Jacob Harris (groin), among others. Koski originally signed with the Rams in April of 2020 as an undrafted free agent but has yet to play an offensive snap in the regular season.

Easop Winston WR | NYJ
Browns' Easop Winston: Joins Cleveland
Cleveland claimed Winston from waivers from the Saints on Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
The 25-year-old has appeared in just three games in his NFL career and joins a crowded Cleveland receiver room featuring Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones at the top of the depth chart. Winston has some experience as a punt returner, so that role may present his clearest path of making the Week 1 roster while the Browns seek a replacement for Jakeem Grant (Achilles), who is out for the season.
