Easop Winston WR | NYJ
Easop Winston: Dropped by New Orleans
The Saints waived Winston on Monday.
Winston signed a reserve/future contract with New Orleans in January after being elevated from the team's practice squad for three consecutive weeks in December last season. The 25-year-old wideout will now pass through waivers before becoming a free agent, if no team opts to claim him.
-
Ty Fryfogle WR | KC
Ty Fryfogle: Cut loose
Fryfogle was waived by the Cowboys on Monday. Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Fryfogle joined the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in May. With 12 wide receivers still on the roster and cutdowns needed, Fryfogle became expendable. The 23-year-old will now work to earn an opportunity elsewhere.

Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | MIA
Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Returns to practice
Marshall (lower leg) was back on the field practicing in full Monday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Marshall's injury was first reported Aug. 5, and he's been out or limited during practice ever since. Selected in the second round of the 2021 Draft, he struggled last season, only catching 17 passes on 30 targets for 138 yards in 13 games. Now healthy, Marshall will look to establish himself on the Panthers' positional depth chart, while working towards a breakout sophomore campaign.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside WR | ATL
Seahawks' J.J. Arcega-Whiteside: Traded to Seattle for backup DB
The Eagles traded Arcega-Whiteside to Seattle on Monday for defensive back Ugo Amadi, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
It's not a great sign for Arcega-Whiteside's NFL career that he was traded for a player who reportedly was about to get cut. The teams worked out a deal instead, and the 2019 second-round pick now can take his attempted WR-to-TE transition to Seattle.

Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Cardinals' Marquise Brown: Finally getting work with Murray
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that Brown (hamstring) and Kyler Murray (wrist) practiced for the first time together since the start of training camp, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Both players have dealt with injuries in camp, with Brown getting back on the field last week, which coincided with limitations on Murray's practice reps due to a sore wrist. It's unclear if either or both were able to handle every drill Monday, but the Cardinals showed evidence of testing out the Air Raid, with Brown and Rondale Moore in the slot and DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green as outside receivers, per Paul Calvisi of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. The team won't be able to operate with that personnel Week 1 due to Hopkins' six-game suspension to begin the season, but his lack of availability should be a boon for Brown, who was reunited with Murray, his college quarterback, back in April.
-
KeeSean Johnson WR | BUF
KeeSean Johnson: Waived by San Fran
Johnson was waived by the 49ers on Monday.
Johnson inked a futures deal with San Francisco after spending the majority of last year on Philadelphia's practice squad. However, he once again finds himself a free agent heading into the regular season. The 2019 sixth-round pick caught 36 of 65 targets across his first two seasons in Arizona, but he hasn't seen NFL action since.
-
Khadarel Hodge WR | SF
Falcons' KhaDarel Hodge: Making push for roster spot
Hodge is a strong candidate to make the Falcons' initial 53-man roster, Scott Bair and Tori McElhaney of the team's official site report.
Hodge was signed by the Falcons this offseason after catching 13 of 27 targets for 157 yards across 16 games for the Lions last season. Atlanta made numerous moves to address its wideout corps, so he was expected to have stiff competition for a roster spot. Regardless, he appears to be standing out, as Bair relays that Hodge frequently is working with the first team and has put together a solid training camp. Hodge played 10 snaps (eight offensive) during the first quarter of Atlanta's preseason opener, catching his only target for 12 yards, and hit the sidelines with the rest of the starters, another sign he's trending towards being a lock for the initial 53-man roster.
-
Juwann Winfree WR | HOU
Packers' Juwann Winfree: Returns to practice Monday
Winfree (groin) returned to practice Monday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Winfree was sidelined for Sunday's practice after reportedly picking up a groin injury during Friday's preseason opener. However, the issue doesn't appear to be serious, as the wideout has already returned to practice. Winfree caught all three of his targets for 27 yards against the 49ers and has garnered high praise from Aaron Rodgers this offseason. However, he remains firmly on the roster bubble, so expect the 2019 sixth-round pick to get plenty of work during Green Bay's remaining preseason contests.
-
Mike Strachan WR | WAS
Colts' Mike Strachan: Removed from active/PUP list
The Colts activated Strachan from the active/PUP list Monday, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Strachan began training camp on the PUP list after undergoing offseason knee surgery, but he's officially been cleared to practice for the first time this season. The 2021 seventh-round pick caught two of three targets for 26 yards across six appearances as a rookie and will look to carve out a bigger role in Year 2. At 6-foot-5, he could be another red-zone threat for Matt Ryan, but he'll likely have to compete with Dezmon Patmon and Keke Coutee for a roster spot.
-
Gary Jennings WR | LAC
Gary Jennings: Waived by Kansas City
Jennings (concussion) was waived by Kansas City on Monday.
While the team source didn't clarify, it's likely that Jennings was waived with an injury designation. If that's the case he'll revert to Kansas City's injured reserve once he clears waivers. The 2019 fourth-round pick has appeared in just one NFL contest since he was drafted by the Seahawks.
