  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Healthy after offseason procedure

Jefferson is healthy for the start of training camp after undergoing a minor knee procedure early in the offseason, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

The 2020 second-round pick, who will turn 26 on Tuesday, played through the knee injury down the stretch last year, though he still took the field for every regular season and playoff game. Jefferson finished his second year in the league with 50 receptions for 802 yards and six touchdowns, and he should enter camp as Los Angeles' No. 3 wideout behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson.

  • Devon Williams WR | BAL

Ravens' Devon Williams: Reinstated to active roster

The Ravens have reinstated Williams to their active roster per the NFL's official transaction log.

Williams landed on the Ravens reserve/did not report list earlier in the week after he was the only member of Baltimore's rookie class not to show up to the first day of training-camp workouts. He is now ready to go but still figures to face an uphill battle to make the team's Week 1 roster.

  • Mathew Sexton WR | MIA

    Mathew Sexton: Exits Kansas City

Sexton (undisclosed) was waived from IR with an injury waiver by the Chiefs on Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Sexton was battling an undisclosed injury when he landed on injured reserve. He now will be free to work out for another team once his health allows it.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Hitting PUP list

The Packers placed Watson (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

In the wake of the Davante Adams trade, the Packers were in the market for reinforcements at wide receiver and made a splash on Day 2 of this year's draft, trading up to select Watson in the second round, 34th overall. At 6-foot-4, 208 pounds, Watson combines his length with a 4.36-second 40, giving him similar traits to another offseason departure at the position (Marquez Valdes-Scantling). Before he'll get a chance to build a rapport with Aaron Rodgers in training camp, though, Watson will need to get past his current injury concern.

  • Justyn Ross WR | KC

Chiefs' Justyn Ross: Likely headed to active/PUP list

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Friday that Ross (foot) won't be practicing to begin training camp and will likely land on the active/PUP list, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.

Ross was signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft, and GM Brett Veach said that the wideout had been medically cleared to take the field at the beginning of May. However, the Clemson product was spotted in a walking boot in early July and will remain sidelined to start training camp, which will significantly impact his chances of making the initial 53-man roster.

  • Mike Strachan WR | WAS

Colts' Mike Strachan: Set to miss start of training camp

Strachan is expected to miss the start of training camp due to an undisclosed injury, Kevin Hickey of the Colts' website reports.

Strachan was absent from spring workouts due to the same issue, and the extent of his absence remains unknown. The 2021 seventh-round pick caught just two of three targets for 26 yards across six appearances last year and was set to have an expanded role in 2022, but he'll have to fight for a roster spot after missing so much time during the offseason.

  • Justyn Ross WR | KC

Chiefs' Justyn Ross: Back in walking boot

Ross (ankle) was spotted at the beginning of July in a boot and using a walking stroller, Zack Eisen of the Arrowhead report reports.

Ross was signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft, and GM Brett Veach said that the wideout had been medically cleared to take the field at the beginning of May. The Clemson product was considered a candidate to be an early-round draft choice, but he was diagnosed with a congenital fusion in his spine in the spring of 2020 and was limited last year due to a stress fracture in his left foot. It's unclear if the boot is simply precautionary or if he's suffered a setback. Regardless, Ross' status for the regular season will likely become clearer when Kansas City begins training camp.

  • David Bell WR | CLE

Browns' David Bell: Lands on active/PUP list

The Browns have placed Bell (foot) on the active/PUP list, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Per Cabot, Bell's foot issue isn't believed to be serious and the 2022 third-rounder should be able to practice soon. Once he's able to take the field again, Bell figures to compete with Donovan Peoples-Jones and Anthony Schwartz for depth chart slotting behind Cleveland's new No. 1 wideout, Amari Cooper. According to Jake Trotter of ESPN, Peoples-Jones will presumably get the first shot to be the team's No. 2 receiver, but once healthy, Bell -- who displayed sure hands during minicamp -- could challenge for a key role in the Browns offense if he impresses as the summer progresses.

  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Approaches camp on PUP list

Thomas (ankle) has been placed on the Saints' active/PUP list, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Thomas -- who continues to bounce back from lingering ankle issues -- can be activated off the list at any time between now and the start of the regular season, but until then he'll be unable to practice. The report notes that while Thomas has not commented on when he might return to the field, it's worth noting that the wideout has been posting videos of himself running routes on his social media pages. For his part, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football suggests that he doesn't expect Thomas to remain on the PUP list too long. In any case, once Thomas is able to return to practice, he'll look to reestablish himself as the top option in a New Orleans wide receiver corps that also includes Jarvis Landry, Chris Olave, Marquez Callaway, Tre'Quan Smith and Deonte Harty.

  • Rashid Shaheed WR | SEA

Saints' Rashid Shaheed: Dealing with undisclosed injury

Shaheed was placed on the non-football injury list Tuesday due to an unspecified issue, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Shaheed will likely miss the beginning of training camp and won't be able to take part in practices until he's activated. The Weber State product joined the Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft and will be vying for a depth role at receiver.
