  • Isaiah Hodgins WR | NYG

Isaiah Hodgins: Back on practice squad

Hodgins reverted to the Bills' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Hodgins was elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's matchup against New England with both Cole Beasley (illness) and Gabriel Davis (illness) unavailable. Even so, he managed only four offensive snaps and did not record a stat. If both Beasley and Davis remain sidelined, Hodgins could be elevated again for Sunday's matchup against the Falcons.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Leads team in receiving

Waddle caught 10 of 12 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 20-3 win over the Saints.

Waddle was the engine to Miami's offense, moving the sticks by getting free on a variety of underneath routes. His after-the-catch ability once again offered a consistent outlet for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, including on his one-yard touchdown from a misdirection push pass in the second half. Prior to that score, however, Tagovailoa found Waddle downfield on a flea flicker, significantly improving his average with a 24-yard gain. After missing last week's game while on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Waddle immediately picked up where he left off, turning in his third straight performance with at least nine receptions for 90 yards. As the Dolphins continue to fight for a playoff spot, expect the dynamic rookie wideout to remain highly involved to close the campaign.

  • Brandon Smith WR | PIT

Brandon Smith: Lands in COVID-19 protocols

Smith (illness) was placed on the Cowboys' practice squad COVID-19 list Monday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Smith spent all of training camp with the Cowboys prior to being waived in late August. He latched on with the team's practice squad, but he has not been active for a game this season.

  • Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET

Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Suffers chest injury

Smith is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Dolphins with a chest injury, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.

Smith exited the first half early to go to the locker room and was not seen on the sideline to begin the second half. He has yet to earn a target from Ian Book, and if he is unable to return it would mark the first time this season he failed to record a catch in any of his 10 games. Marquez Callaway has stepped up as Book's primary option with Smith sidelined.

  • Colts' Parris Campbell: Gets in workout Monday

Campbell (foot) was spotted working out on the side during the Colts' informal practice session Monday, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.

The wideout's workout didn't qualify as practicing, as the Colts would have to designate him for return from injured reserve in order for him to take part in drills alongside his healthy teammates. That being said, Campbell looks like he might be able to do just that within the next couple weeks, potentially setting himself up for a return to the 53-man roster during the postseason or perhaps even in Week 18 in a best-case scenario. Campbell hasn't played since Week 6 after undergoing foot surgery in mid-October.

  • Adam Thielen WR | PIT

Vikings' Adam Thielen: Feels sore, but hopeful for Week 17

Head coach Mike Zimmer said Monday that Thielen is feeling sore following his early departure in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Rams, but the wideout is hopeful to be back on the field for the Vikings' Week 17 game in Green Bay, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Minnesota was without two of its top playmakers for most of the Week 16 loss, as running back Dalvin Cook (reserve/COVID-19 list) missed the game entirely, while Thielen played only 23 snaps before leaving after aggravating the left high-ankle sprain that kept him out the previous two contests. Cook will be eligible to rejoin the Vikings on Saturday and is expected to be ready to play in Green Bay the next day, while Thielen's status is murkier, given the recurring nature of his injury. If Thielen is sidelined for the third time in four games, K.J. Osborn and Dede Westbrook would be in store for more reps alongside No. 1 wideout Justin Jefferson.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Breaks catch slump

Marshall caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Buccaneers.

Marshall made his first reception since Week 6 as teammate Brandon Zylstra (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Sunday's kickoff. While finally breaking his catch slump is a welcome development for Marshall, he still was only targeted once on 41 offensive snaps. Such underwhelming involvement further emphasizes his restricted upside, and while giving the rookie second-rounder more chances to close the season could be a priority of the Panthers, Zylstra's potential return Week 17 versus the Saints could impact Marshall's usage.

  • Shi Smith WR | KC

Panthers' Shi Smith: Leads team in receiving

Smith caught three of four targets for 86 yards in Sunday's 32-6 loss to the Buccaneers.

Smith, a rookie sixth-rounder, led the Panthers in receiving yards in only his fifth appearance this season, which came after teammate Brandon Zylstra (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Sunday's contest. Smith's performance was highlighted by his 63-yard connection with quarterback Sam Darnold in the second quarter, helping set up a Carolina field goal. Even though Zylstra's potential return Week 17 versus the Saints could affect Smith's involvement, his impact on just 15 offensive snaps Sunday also could result in the team handing Smith more opportunities.

  • Kristian Wilkerson: Reverts to practice squad

Wilkerson reverted to New England's practice squad Monday.

Wilkerson was elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's loss to the Bills and didn't record any stats while playing three snaps on offense and six snaps on special teams.

  • Jaylon Moore WR | JAC

Jaylon Moore: Restored from COVID list

The Ravens restored Moore (undisclosed) to the practice squad from the practice squad COVID-19 list, Ryan Mink of the team's official website reports.

Moore entered COVID-19 protocols on Dec. 17. He will now be allowed to return to practice and will continue to look to make an impression.
