  • Mike Williams WR | LAC

Chargers' Mike Williams: Not ruled out for Week 14

Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said Wednesday that Williams was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list after being deemed a close contact of teammate Keenan Allen and is considered "day-to-day" in advance of Sunday's game against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Cornerback Chris Harris was also placed on the list after being deemed a close contact of Allen, who tested positive for the virus Monday. Staley's comments indicate that both Williams and Harris are following NFL protocols for unvaccinated players, as vaccinated individuals are only placed on the list as a result of positive tests. Williams will be eligible to rejoin the Chargers as long as he tests negative for the virus for five straight days. Assuming his five-day count began Monday when Allen tested positive, Williams should have a chance to report back to the Chargers' facility as soon as Saturday.

  • Davante Adams WR | LAR

Packers' Davante Adams: Dealing with hamstring issue

Adams was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Even with the benefit of the Packers' bye week, Adams made an appearance on the first Week 14 injury report. Fortunately for the wide receiver, he was able to fit in some activity, while fellow wideout Randall Cobb (core) didn't. Adams will look to get back to full activity Thursday and/or Friday with the aim of heading into Sunday's divisional matchup with the Bears without a designation.

  • Allen Robinson WR | DET

Bears' Allen Robinson: Gets back on practice field

Robinson (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

The limited showing marks Robinson's first on-field activity since the Bears' Week 10 bye, as he's missed three consecutive contests due to a hamstring issue. With two sessions to go this week, he may merely need to maintain limited listings on the team's next two injury reports to put himself in a position to play Sunday against the Packers. Ultimately, Friday's report will be telling for Robinson's potential to return to game action.

  • Mike Williams WR | LAC

Chargers' Mike Williams: Lands on COVID list

The Chargers placed Williams on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Fellow starting wideout Keenan Allen was placed on same list Monday, making the statuses of both players worth monitoring closely as Sunday's game against the Giants approaches. Beyond Allen and Williams, the Chargers have Jalen Guyton, Josh Palmer and Andre Roberts on hand at receiver, while running back Austin Ekeler and tight ends Jared Cook and Donald Parham could also take on pronounced roles in the passing game if the team's top two wideouts are sidelined Week 14.

  • J.J. Koski WR | DEN

J.J. Koski: Joins Rams' practice squad

Koski was signed to the Rams' practice squad Wednesday.

Koski was waived by the Rams on Tuesday, but he'll return to the team's practice squad after he went unclaimed on waivers. He's appeared in four games for the Rams this season but has played exclusively on special teams.

  • Miles Boykin WR | CHI

Ravens' Miles Boykin: Limited in practice

Boykin (finger) was limited in practice Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Boykin hasn't played since Week 10 against Miami. He was able to log limited practices last week, so it's hard to say if this is truly progress. The third-year pro will try to return Sunday against the Browns.

  • Chase Claypool WR | BUF

Steelers' Chase Claypool: Cleared for Thursday

Claypool (toe) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Vikings, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Claypool appeared hobbled for a short portion of Sunday's win over the Ravens, but he then managed full practices Tuesday and Wednesday to remove any doubt about his status for Week 14. He'll face a struggling Minnesota defense that's given up 28.3 points per game since its Week 7 bye.

  • Cowboys' Cedrick Wilson: Returns to practice as limited

Wilson (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Wilson picked up an ankle injury during Dallas' Thanksgiving Day loss to the Raiders, and the issue kept him out of practice last week and didn't allow him to play last Thursday at New Orleans. As such, his return to practice Wednesday marks his first activity since Week 12 prep. Wilson will have two more chances to be a full participant Thursday and/or Friday before the Cowboys potentially tab him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Washington.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

    Giants' Kadarius Toney: Not practicing

Toney (oblique) didn't practice Wednesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Toney remains limited to side work with the training staff, while Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) has progressed to limited practice participation. Kenny Golladay (ribs) also missed Wednesday's practice, though he was able to check back into the game in Sunday's loss to Miami after suffering the injury earlier in the contest. Toney's continued absence suggests he's unlikely to play this weekend against the Chargers.

  • Giants' Sterling Shepard: Limited on estimated report

Shepard (quadriceps) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Shepard earned a limited listing on the Giants' last two Week 13 reports, but he was considered doubtful to play and eventually was inactive this past Sunday at Miami. Among New York's top three wide receivers, Shepard was the only one to fit in some reps Wednesday, as both Kenny Golladay (ribs) and Kadarius Toney (oblique/quadriceps) didn't participate. Consequently, if Shepard puts himself into a position to suit up this weekend against the Chargers, he could serve as the team's No. 1 receiver, though he may be working with either Jake Fromm or Mike Glennon (concussion) as his quarterback with Daniel Jones (neck) having yet to receive clearance for contact.
