Cam Sims WR | CAR
Football Team's Cam Sims: Questionable for Week 8 return
Sims (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Denver, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Sims returned to practice Wednesday after missing the past three games. He saw just three targets on 35 offensive snaps over the first four weeks of the season, but there's a chance Sims joins the starting lineup if he's able to play Sunday, as both Curtis Samuel (groin) and Dyami Brown (knee) are ruled out. Sims previously was a starter for Washington's final 10 regular-season games last year, averaging 2.9 catches for 43.8 yards on 4.5 targets in that stretch.

Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | MIA
Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Remains absent in Week 8
Marshall (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Falcons, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Marshall was able to practice in limited fashion Friday, but he'll be sidelined for a second consecutive game by the concussion he suffered in Week 6. Shi Smith and Alex Erickson will continue to vie for snaps in three-receiver sets alongside DJ Moore and Robby Anderson, though their roles aren't expected to be fruitful with Sam Darnold struggling to connect with any receivers besides Moore on a consistent basis. Marshall will look to return to action in Week 9 against the Patriots.

Dyami Brown WR | WAS
Football Team's Dyami Brown: Won't play this week
Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Denver, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
With Brown and Curtis Samuel (groin) both out, Cam Sims could be in the mix for a start this week, though he's listed as questionable after missing the past three games with a hamstring injury. The other options to line up alongside Terry McLaurin and slot man Adam Humphries are DeAndre Carter, Dax Milne and Antonio Gandy-Golden.

Curtis Samuel WR | BUF
Football Team's Curtis Samuel: Out again, as expected
Samuel (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Denver, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Coach Ron Rivera did mention Friday that Samuel won't be placed on injured reserve, as a second stint would rule him out for the rest of the season, per Ben Standig of The Athletic. Rivera still expects Samuel to contribute down the stretch this season, though he didn't mention a specific timeline for the wideout to return after the team's Week 9 bye.

Odell Beckham Jr. WR | MIN
Browns' Odell Beckham: Questionable for Week 8
Beckham (shoulder) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Beckham, who was limited at practice this week, has been managing a shoulder issue, but it would surprise us if he's not available to start alongside Jarvis Landry (knee) this weekend. Either way, Beckham's Week 8 status will be confirmed before the first wave of games Sunday, with the Browns kicking off at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Donovan Peoples-Jones WR | NO
Browns' Donovan Peoples-Jones: Ruled out for Sunday
Peoples-Jones (groin) will not play in the Browns' Week 8 contest with the Steelers on Sunday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Peoples-Jones suffered a groin injury during pregame warmups ahead of the Browns' Week 7 matchup with the Broncos. The receiver has yet to practice in any capacity so far this week and he will now miss his second consecutive game. Expect Rashard Higgins and Anthony Schwartz to play key roles in the Browns' passing game Sunday against the Steelers.

Kadarius Toney WR | CLE
Giants' Kadarius Toney: Returns to practice
Toney (ankle) returned to practice Friday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
The rookie likely will be a limited participant in his first practice since aggravating an ankle injury in the Week 6 loss to Los Angeles. While Toney returned to the field Friday, teammates Saquon Barkley (ankle) and Kenny Golladay (knee) reportedly remain limited to rehab work. Toney thus seems most likely of the bunch to make it back for Monday's game in Kansas City.
-
DeVante Parker WR | PHI
Dolphins' DeVante Parker: Should play Sunday
Parker (shoulder/hamstring) is expected to be available for Sunday's game at Buffalo, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Parker has missed the past three games but practiced as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday, and he's expected to retake the field Sunday for the Dolphins. The 28-year-old has 17 receptions for 242 yards and a touchdown in four games this season, and he should see plenty of snaps against the Bills if he can avoid a setback over the next couple days.
-
Corey Davis WR | NYJ
Jets' Corey Davis: Trending down for Sunday
Coach Robert Saleh said Friday Davis' (hip) outlook for Sunday's game against the Bengals is "not looking good," Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Davis was added to the injury report with the hip issue Thursday, and it may prevent him from taking the field this week. The Jets already are without QB Zach Wilson (knee), and it appears the offense will be even more short-handed versus the Bengals. Denzel Mims is expected to have an increased role if Davis is ruled out.

Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE
Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Ready for Sunday
Jeudy (ankle) appears on track to play Sunday, as the receiver declared, "I'm back in action. I'm ready to go," in Thursday's press conference, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Jeudy's progress in practice will continue to be monitored before he is removed from injured reserve, but all signs point to the second-year wideout making his return to the field in Week 8 against Washington. According to Mike Klis of 9News Denver, Jeudy could help get the offense going, as Denver has struggled to move the ball through the air consistently for much of the season. Klis asserts that throwing the ball to Jeudy early in the downs may be the answer to avoid being in so many third-and-longs. In any case, the 22-year-old should return Sunday and provide a much needed boost to Denver's offense.
