  • Scott Miller WR | CHI

Buccaneers' Scotty Miller: No stats in opener

Miller played just eight snaps on offense and did not see a target during the Buccaneers' 31-29 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.

Targets were expected to be scarce for any receivers not named Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Antonio Brown, and that proved true in Week 1. The speedy Miller will almost assuredly be looked for on some deep routes as the season unfolds, but as long as the top trio is healthy, the Bowling Green product's week-to-week production will be inconsistent at best.

  • Tyler Johnson WR | DAL

Buccaneers' Tyler Johnson: No catches in opener

Johnson failed to come up with his only target during the Buccaneers' 31-29 win over the Cowboys on Thursday.

The second-year wideout logged just three snaps from scrimmage, so the lack of action on offense was unsurprising. Johnson's empty stat line could unfortunately be par from the course for him on many weeks while the top wideout trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown is healthy.

  • Isaiah Zuber WR | LV

Isaiah Zuber: Cut from practice squad

The 49ers released Zuber from the practice squad Tuesday.

Zuber played four games for the Patriots as an undrafted rookie last year, recording two receptions for 29 yards and two rushes for 21 yards. He'll likely need to settle for a practice-squad role elsewhere.

  • Chiefs' Demarcus Robinson: Minimal looks in opener

Robinson collected one of his two targets for nine yards in Sunday's regular-season opener versus the Browns.

Robinson did play the second-most snaps (48) of any wideout during Sunday's game, suggesting he will remain a big part of the offensive game plan moving forward. That being said, Robinson is far from a primary target in the attack and finished tied for fourth on the team in targets with Byron Pringle, who played just 11 snaps.

  • Byron Pringle WR | WAS

Chiefs' Byron Pringle: Snares one of two targets

Pringle reeled in one of his two targets for six yards in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Browns.

Pringle logged just 11 offensive snaps compared to Demarcus Robinson's 48 and Mecole Hardman's 45, placing him well behind both in the pecking order for offensive looks. He's likely the next man up to join that group should any of them miss time but seems unlikely to garner enough offensive attention to warrant fantasy consideration at this point.

  • Kendall Hinton WR | DEN

Broncos' Kendall Hinton: Elevated to active roster

The Broncos signed Hinton from their practice squad Tuesday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.

Hinton had an impressive training camp, but he didn't make the initial 53-man roster and was later signed to the practice squad. The 24-year-old is best known for stepping in as the signal-caller for the Broncos last season after their entire quarterbacks' room landed in COVID-19 protocols. Hinton will replace Jerry Jeudy (ankle), who was placed on IR, on Denver's active roster.

  • Mecole Hardman WR | BUF

Chiefs' Mecole Hardman: Quiet in win

Hardman secured all three of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 33-29 win over the Browns.

The 23-year-old entered Week 1 as the No. 2 wide receiver opposite Tyreek Hill, but Hardman did little with that role considering Patrick Mahomes threw the ball 36 times in the contest. He played on 69 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps, which was slightly behind fellow wideout Demarcus Robinson's 74 percent. Hardman, a 2019 second-round pick, is an intriguing fantasy asset based on his athletic ability and role in Kansas City's high-flying offensive attack, but it's hard to trust him in lineups until he proves he can earn consistent target volume.

  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Shifts to reserve/COVID-19 list

Thomas (ankle) was transferred from the reserve/PUP list to the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. He tested positive for the virus, according to Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston.

Thomas becomes the first Saints player to go on the COVID-19 list after the Associated Press reported earlier Tuesday that six unidentified New Orleans coaching staff members and one player tested positive for the virus. Provided he doesn't experience any overly severe symptoms, Thomas' timeline for making his 2021 debut shouldn't be affected. After opening the campaign on the PUP list while recovering from June surgery on his left ankle, Thomas was already slated to miss the first six weeks of the regular season. He'll first be eligible to return Oct. 25 in Seattle following the Saints' Week 6 bye.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Placed on IR

Jeudy (ankle) will be placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Broncos are expecting Jeudy to miss 4-to-6 weeks after he suffered a right high-ankle sprain in Sunday's victory over the Giants. That timeline makes it unlikely that he'll be ready to go when first eligible to come off IR on Oct. 10 in Pittsburgh, but a return in Week 6 versus the Raiders could be in play for the second-year wideout. In the meantime, the Broncos are expected to turn to KJ Hamler to fill out three-receiver sets alongside Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick, and all three pass catchers should benefit from added looks while Jeudy is sidelined.

  • Willie Snead WR | MIA

Raiders' Willie Snead: Plays just two snaps Monday

Snead saw two snaps and dropped his lone target during Monday's 33-27 win over the Ravens.

Snead dropped a critical red-zone target in overtime that led to a Ravens interception. The 28-year-old wideout appears to be firmly behind Zay Jones -- who saw 20 snaps -- on the depth chart, and, barring injuries, he will not be fantasy relevant this year. Snead has finished with at least 300 yards and three touchdowns in each of his two previous seasons with the Ravens.
