Demarcus Robinson WR | SF
Chiefs' Demarcus Robinson: Second-string wideout on Week 1 DC
Robinson checks in as the second-string wideout behind Mecole Hardman on the Chiefs' unofficial Week 1 depth chart, Nick Jacobs of KSHB 41 News reports.
Robinson hasn't quite turned public heads in his direction but the coaching staff seems to like what they've seen out of the wideout, bringing him back on a one-year deal this offseason and positioning him as the potential No. 3 wideout with Sammy Watkins gone to Baltimore. He sits alongside Byron Pringle as a second-string wideout to open the season.

Byron Pringle WR | WAS
Chiefs' Byron Pringle: Listed as second-string wideout
Pringle slots in as the backup wideout behind Tyreek Hill on the Chiefs' unofficial Week 1 depth chart, Nick Jacobs of KSHB 41 News reports.
Pringle flashed multiple times during camp and the preseason and has his name in the conversation for some reps. That said, Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman still hold the top two spots on the depth chart and Demarcus Robinson still figures to be part of the mix, so Pringle's upside remains rather limited as long as the other wideout options remain healthy.

Darnell Mooney WR | NYG
Bears' Darnell Mooney: Another limited session
Mooney (back) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
The Bears have capped Mooney's reps so far during Week 1 preparations, but the second-year wide receiver has one more chance to get all the way back to full health for Sunday's visit to the Rams. While he isn't a major challenge to Allen Robinson's standing as the clear No. 1 option in the team's passing attack, Mooney should be good for at least his typical amount of work from 2020 (6.1 targets per game).
-
Parris Campbell WR | DAL
Colts' Parris Campbell: Returns to full practice
Campbell (Achilles) practiced fully Thursday.
After logging a limited session Wednesday, Campbell practiced fully Thursday, which paves the way for him to suit up for Sunday's season opener against the Seahawks. With T.Y. Hilton out multiple weeks due to a neck injury, Campbell figures to work in a slot role out of the gate this season, while Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal handle outside reps in three-wide sets.

Keelan Cole WR | LV
Jets' Keelan Cole: Knee injury surfaces Thursday
Cole (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Cole practiced fully Wednesday, so this appears to be a new injury. With Jamison Crowder in COVID-19 protocols, the Jets could be without two expected regulars at wide receiver for Sunday's season opener against the Panthers if Cole's injury ends up hindering his ability to suit up.

Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET
Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Sits out with hamstring issue
Smith was a non-participant at Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Smith dealt with an undisclosed health concern in training camp, which he suffered in practice Aug. 3 and kept him sidelined for the entire preseason. He managed to avoid the Saints' first injury report of the regular season Wednesday, but his absence Thursday is curious just days away from a Week 1 showdown with the Packers in Jacksonville. New Orleans may just be giving Smith a maintenance day, but his standing on Friday's practice report now is worthwhile to check out. If Smith is held out Sunday, a combination of Lil'Jordan Humphrey, Deonte Harris and Chris Hogan stand to benefit alongside starter Marquez Callaway.

Nelson Agholor WR | BAL
Patriots' Nelson Agholor: Misses practice Thursday
Agholor (ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Agholor's status for Sunday's season opener versus Miami thus is uncertain, though his outlook on that front could brighten if he returns to practice Friday. If he's out this weekend, however, added looks figure to be available for fellow WRs Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne.
-
Kadarius Toney WR | CLE
Giants' Kadarius Toney: Manages another limited showing
Toney (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
A hamstring injury has followed Toney into the regular season, but considering he's put together back-to-back practices -- albeit ones in which his reps were capped -- he seems to have a decent shot to make his pro debut Sunday against the Broncos. Friday's practice report may reveal as much for the 20th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but the Giants appear to be proceeding as though Toney will be available. Per Tom Rock of Newsday, offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said earlier Thursday that the team is planning to be "specific and purposeful" in how Toney is used Week 1, suggesting he'll have some plays designed for him despite the fact that he sits behind all of Kenny Golladay (hamstring), Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton on the depth chart at receiver.
-
Shi Smith WR | KC
Panthers' Shi Smith: Misses second consecutive practice
Smith (shoulder) remained a non-participant in Thursday's practice, David Netwon of ESPN.com reports.
Smith remains sidelined by the shoulder injury he suffered in Carolina's preseason finale. The rookie sixth-round pick will likely need to practice in some capacity Friday to have a shot at suiting up against the Jets come Sunday.

A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Takes the field Thursday
Brown (knee) participated in practice Thursday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
We'll have to see if Brown is listed as a full or limited participant by the Titans, but his presence on the field Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's session bodes well for his chances of being available for Sunday's season opener against the Cardinals.
