Michael Pittman WR | PIT
Colts' Michael Pittman: Role could expand
With T.Y. Hilton potentially in line to multiple games due to an upper back or neck injury, Pittman, Zach Pascal and Parris Campbell appear poised to head the Colts' wide receiving corps early on this season, Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Also in the team's wideout mix battling for depth slotting are Mike Strachan, Ashton Dulin, Dezmon Patmon and DeMichael Harris. As a rookie, Pittman caught 40 passes for 503 yards and a TD in 13 games, but with Hilton now expected to miss time, the 2020 second-rounder has a chance to assume an expanded role with the team to start the coming season and in the process solidify his standing as a fantasy lineup option.

DJ Chark WR | ATL
Jaguars' DJ Chark: Sits out preseason finale
Chark (finger) won't suit up for Sunday's preseason finale against the Cowboys.
The same applies to fellow wideout Marvin Jones (shoulder), though the expectation remains that both players should be available for Week 1 action. Chark is bouncing back from a procedure in early August to repair a hairline fracture of his finger, but as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks, look for the 24-year-old to man a starting WR spot in Jacksonville's season-opener Sept. 12 against the Texans.
-
Mike Evans WR | SF
Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Tallies two receptions
Evans recorded two receptions on three targets for 20 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Texans.
Evans played for three drives alongside the majority of the team's offensive starters. He caught a pair of passes that went for nine and 11 yards respectively, but he was quiet otherwise. As has been the case for each of the last seven seasons, Evans will be a focal point of the offense and will look to get off to a hot start in Week 1 against Dallas.
-
Chris Godwin WR | TB
Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Provides several splash plays
Godwin recorded three receptions on three targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason contest against Houston.
Godwin joined the team's first-string offense for three drives and delivered an impressive performance in the preseason finale. He recorded receptions of 32, 28 and 24 yards, the last of which went for a trip to the end zone. Godwin will now turn his entire focus to a Week 1 matchup against Dallas, and he should be in line for plenty of targets while playing alongside Mike Evans and Antonio Brown.
-
Nico Collins WR | HOU
Texans' Nico Collins: Finds end zone despite inefficiency
Collins recorded two receptions on six targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against Tampa Bay.
Collins entered the game with the first-team offense, but he played into the third quarter and was targeted by both Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills. He wasn't particularly efficient with either signal caller, though he did manage an 11-yard touchdown connection with Mills midway through the third quarter. Collins isn't likely to play a huge role in Week 1 against Jacksonville, though he could overtake players such as Chris Conley or Keke Coutee for a role as the season wears on.
-
Jacob Harris WR | TB
Rams' Jacob Harris: Returns against Broncos
Harris did not convert any of his three targets into a reception in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos.
Harris had been sidelined with an upper-body injury, though he was able to take the field for the team's final preseason contest. The former wide receiver is likely to begin the season primarily as a special teams contributor. As a result, he's unlikely to see reliable volume in Week 1 against Chicago and will have a hard time making an impact on the offensive side of the ball so long as the Rams' tight end corps remains healthy.
-
Trishton Jackson WR | ARI
Rams' Trishton Jackson: Racks up 48 yards
Jackson recorded three receptions on five targets for 48 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos.
Jackson had been held out of practice since Aug. 17 with a knee injury. However, he managed to return to the field in time for the team's final preseason game. All three of his receptions went for double-digit gains, the longest of which was 23 yards. Jackson received positive reports for his play throughout training camp, though it's far from a lock that he will be on the roster for the team's Week 1 matchup against the Bears.

D'Wayne Eskridge WR | MIA
Seahawks' D'Wayne Eskridge: Garners 28 total yards in win
Eskridge secured his only target for 19 yards and rushed once for nine yards in the Seahawks' 27-0 preseason win over the Chargers on Saturday night.
The rookie's pro debut went well when considering Eskridge was highly efficient yardage-wise with his two opportunities. The second-round pick came into the contest with a chance of unseating Freddie Swain for the No. 3 receiver job, and considering the latter failed to bring in his only target, Eskridge may have done enough to ascend into that role ahead of Week 1.
-
Tutu Atwell WR | LAR
Rams' Tutu Atwell: Returns from back issue
Atwell recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 62 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos.
Atwell has been absent from large portions of training camp, first as a result of being on the reserve/COVID-19 list. More recently, he was sidelined by a back issue. However, neither impacted his ability to rack up plenty of targets in the preseason finale. Atwell made the majority of his catches around the line of scrimmage, contrasting with his expected usage based on his 4.44 40-yard speed. His longest reception of the day went for 16 yards, though that was his only double-digit gain of the day. In addition to his duties as a wide receiver, Atwell served as the Rams' punt returner. Although his roster spot is secure, it's unlikely that Atwell will see a lot of targets to begin the regular season in a Week 1 matchup against Chicago.

Tyron Johnson WR | DAL
Chargers' Tyron Johnson: Team-best numbers Saturday
Johnson secured four of nine targets for 41 yards in the Chargers' 27-0 preseason loss to the Seahawks on Saturday night.
Johnson led the Chargers in receptions, receiving yards and targets for the night, even as he was somewhat inefficient by bringing in less than half the passes thrown his way. Johnson has been competing with rookie third-round pick Josh Palmer for the No. 3 receiver job, and with eight receptions over his two preseason games and 12 games of NFL experience under his belt, the former may well be the favorite to win the battle.
