Marcell Ateman WR | BUF
Marcell Ateman: Leaves Las Vegas
The Raiders cut Ateman on Tuesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
Ateman's latest stint with the Raiders comes to an end. After joining the team as a seventh-round draft pick in 2018, Ateman logged 18 regular-season appearances in his first two seasons, then spent all of 2020 on Las Vegas' practice squad.

Elijah Moore WR | PHI
Jets' Elijah Moore: Expected to play Friday
Moore (quadriceps) plans to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Eagles, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.tv reports.
Moore was enjoying a tremendous camp before getting hurt, and the rookie second-round pick could still work his way into a starting role before the Jets open the regular season Sep. 12 in Carolina. He's expected to make his preseason debut Friday, and the coaching staff plans to play New York's other rookies as well, which could allow Moore to start building some in-game chemistry with quarterback Zach Wilson. That being said, Moore's usage will likely be limited to a drive or two since he's expected to play a prominent role once the games start to count.
-
River Cracraft WR | WAS
River Cracraft: Let go by San Francisco
Cracraft was waived by the 49ers on Tuesday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Cracraft was promoted from the practice squad in 2020 and appeared in nine games for the 49ers, totaling six catches for 41 yards while adding 40 yards as a kick returner. He agreed to a one-year extension in February but didn't show enough in training camp to retain his roster spot for San Francisco.
-
Davion Davis WR | WAS
Browns' Davion Davis: Handed two-game suspension
Davis has been suspended two games for violating the NFL's Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Davis will be eligible to finish out the preseason during Sunday's matchup against the Falcons, but he will be forced to sit out the first two weeks of the regular season. The second-year pro has strung together an impressive training camp to this point, with a team-high 157 receiving yards in the Browns' first two exhibition matchups.
-
Robert Foster WR | NYG
Robert Foster: Cut with injury designation
The Dolphins cut Foster (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Foster faced steep competition for a depth role in Miami's crowded receiving room, and he's dealing with an undisclosed injury to boot. Since racking up an impressive 27 catches for 541 yards and three scores as an undrafted rookie in Buffalo back in 2018, Foster hasn't logged much in the way of meaningful regular-season production.
-
Isaiah Ford WR | CHI
Isaiah Ford: Let go by Dolphins
The Dolphins cut Ford on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Ford has been a regular on Miami's practice squad since joining the team as a seventh-round pick back in the 2017 NFL Draft, and it's possible he resurfaces there in the regular season. He also appeared in 18 games from 2019-20, with a career-high 28 catches for 276 yards in 10 contests last season. With Will Fuller and Jaylen Waddle having joined the Dolphins this offseason, and Albert Wilson back after opting out, the receiving corps is simply too deep to afford Ford a spot.
-
Lynn Bowden Jr. WR | NO
Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Placed on IR with hamstring injury
Bowden (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
The Dolphins would've waited a week if they wanted the option to bring Bowden back later this season. As is, he'll be ineligible for the entire season if he remains with the Dolphins, only able to return if he agrees to an injury settlement and gets released. That wouldn't typically happen with a third-round pick in his second pro season, but Bowden is already on his second NFL team -- one that happens to have a crowded depth chart at wide receiver. The Dolphins also parted ways with Isaiah Ford and Robert Foster on Tuesday, clearing out some of the competition for the final spot or two at WR.
-
Austin Trammell WR | JAC
Austin Trammell: Let go by Atlanta
The Falcons waived Trammell on Tuesday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Trammell was one of five players cut by Atlanta as a part of the team's efforts to trim the roster down to league requirements. The undrafted rookie out of Rice initially signed with the team back in May.
-
DeVante Parker WR | PHI
Dolphins' DeVante Parker: Practicing with non-contact jersey
Parker (undisclosed) returned to practice Tuesday while donning a red non-contact jersey, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Parker began training camp on the PUP list and has been in and out of practice since being activated. It's encouraging to see him back on the field Tuesday, even if he only handles limited reps. Fellow starting wideout Will Fuller (foot/suspension) also returned to practice after having missed more than three weeks of on-field activities.
