D'Wayne Eskridge WR | MIA
Seahawks' D'Wayne Eskridge: Comes off PUP list
Eskridge (toe) was activated from the PUP list Tuesday after he passed a physical, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Eskridge will have nearly four weeks to prepare for Seattle's regular-season opener Sunday, Sept. 12 at Indianapolis. Coach Pete Carroll told John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site that the rookie will be "ready" for Week 1 and may even be able to suit up for the team's third preseason game Aug. 28 versus the Chargers. For the time being, Eskridge will continue to improve his conditioning with an eye toward suiting up for that contest.

Odell Beckham Jr. WR | MIN
Browns' Odell Beckham: Runs full speed, makes cuts
Beckham (knee) ran full speed and made hard cuts in a series of individual drills Tuesday, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.
Beckham drew a lot of attention from the crowd that showed up for the Browns' practice. Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski did not say whether Beckham would participate in joint practices with the Giants later this week, revealing only that the receiver will ramp up according to the team's plan.

Chase Claypool WR | BUF
Steelers' Chase Claypool: Early report is minor ankle sprain
Claypool suffered only a minor ankle sprain in Tuesday's practice, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Claypool and the Steelers appear to have dodged a bullet, considering he required assistance to leave the field Tuesday. Barring further testing revealing something more severe, the second-year wideout should be on track to play Week 1 versus the Bills.

Chase Claypool WR | BUF
Steelers' Chase Claypool: Avoids major injury
Claypool (leg) didn't suffer a significant injury during Tuesday's practice session, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Things didn't look good when Claypool required the assistance of two teammates to leave the field, but it appears he's avoided anything serious. It's still unclear how much time the wideout will miss, but news on that front should surface once he has undergone all of the necessary tests.

Amari Cooper WR | LV
Cowboys' Amari Cooper: Plans to play in preseason game
Cooper (ankle) intends to run the full route tree during practice Wednesday in preparation for Saturday's preseason contest versus the Texans, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Cooper indicated that he feels 100 percent healthy but will test everything out Wednesday before determining whether or not he will suit up Saturday. Per David Helman of the Cowboys' official site, Cooper will only play about 10 or so snaps in the contest if he does suit up, so it doesn't sound like he will be heavily involved even if he's given the green light.

Chase Claypool WR | BUF
Steelers' Chase Claypool: Evaluated for lower-body injury
Coach Mike Tomlin didn't have an update on Claypool (lower body) after Tuesday's practice, merely confirming that the wideout is being evaluated for an injury, Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.
Teammates Ben Roethlisberger and Eric Ebron helped Claypool off the field after he was injured near the end of Tuesday's practice. The second-year pro reportedly wasn't putting any weight on one of his legs, and he may need to undergo some tests before the Steelers have a diagnosis.

Steelers' Chase Claypool: Goes down with leg injury
Claypool was injured during Tuesday's practice and didn't appear to be putting any weight on one leg, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
QB Ben Roethlisberger and TE Eric Ebron reportedly helped Claypool get off the field and over to the sideline to be evaluated by trainers. It sounds like a lower-body injury of some kind.

Tim Patrick WR | NYJ
Broncos' Tim Patrick: Still dealing with groin injury
Patrick (groin) only participated in the walk-through portion of Tuesday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Patrick has been in and out of practice since the first week of training camp, seemingly due to the same lingering groin/thigh injury. He didn't play in the preseason opener, in which KJ Hamler scored an 80-yard touchdown. Hamler and Patrick are believed to be competing for the No. 3 receiver job behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.

Courtland Sutton WR | DEN
Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Could play this week
Sutton (knee) could play in Saturday's preseason game against the Seahawks, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
It remains to be seen if that happens, but either way Sutton continues to progress, with the report adding that coach Vic Fangio is looking for the wideout -- who's bouncing back from an ACL tear that limited him to one game in 2020 -- to take a big step forward in the next couple weeks. With that in mind, Sutton appears to be on track for Week 1 action against the Giants.

Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET
Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Makes return to practice
Smith (undisclosed) returned to practice Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
He's expected to step into the early-season void created while Michael Thomas misses the first month or so of the season, but Smith hadn't been seen at practice since he left an Aug. 3 session due to an unspecified injury. He thus sat out New Orleans' exhibition opener Saturday, but now that he's on the field again he could set himself up to play in Monday's game versus the Jaguars. First though, Smith may have to get his feet back under him and his conditioning up to par.
