Jalen Guyton WR | LV
Chargers' Jalen Guyton: Falling behind for No. 3 job
Guyton has been outplayed by Josh Palmer and Tyron Johnson (foot) through the first week of training camp, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
The three are competing to be the Chargers' No. 3 receiver, a role Guyton handled for most of last season, though he drew only 55 targets on 920 offensive snaps. While the team could get its third wideout more involved now that TE Hunter Henry is gone, the role still figures to entail a lot of blocking and clear-out routes. The blocking responsibilities might work in Guyton's favor, but Johnson is probably the better deep threat and Palmer is the only one the Chargers really have an investment in as a rookie third-round pick.

Rashod Bateman WR | BAL
Ravens' Rashod Bateman: Back at practice
Bateman returned to practice Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
The rookie first-round pick missed Monday's practice with muscle tightness in an undisclosed location. Back on the field in short order, Bateman will get plenty of reps with the first-team offense while fellow wideouts Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin are on the sidelines healing from hamstring injuries. Bateman, Sammy Watkins and Devin Duvernay are Baltimore's top WRs for the second week of training camp.

K.J. Osborn WR | TEN
Vikings' K.J. Osborn: Makes good early impression
Osborn has had an impressive training camp, including catching a 50-yard reception in Saturday's scrimmage, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
He's more likely to make the final regular-season roster with Bisi Johnson out for the season with a knee injury. Osborn will face competition from Dede Westbrook for the punt return job he held much of last season. He's also likely behind Westbrook for the third receiver role. However, Osborn is a player to watch during the preseason given his early camp reports because he could make a large leap in his second season.

KeeSean Johnson WR | BUF
Cardinals' KeeSean Johnson: Back from COVID-19 list
The Cardinals activated Johnson (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Johnson returns to the practice field alongside fellow wideouts Andy Isabella and Isaac Whitney. With A.J. Green and Rondale Moore having bolstered Arizona's wide receiving corps, and the likes of DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk already established on offense, Johnson is competing for what looks like sparse depth opportunities.

Andy Isabella WR | SF
Cardinals' Andy Isabella: Comes off COVID-19 list
Isabella (undisclosed) returned to practice Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Isabella only missed a handful of practices while going through the league's COVID-19 protocols. He'll be able to immediately resume competing for opportunities in Arizona's crowded wide receiver room.
-
Christian Kirk WR | SF
Cardinals' Christian Kirk: Not practicing Monday
Kirk is not participating in Monday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
The reason for Kirk's lack of participation remains unclear, whether due to rest, injury or an excused absence. The fourth-year pro is facing increased competition for playing time this training camp, with A.J. Green and Rondale Moore having joined Arizona's receiving corps.

DeAndre Carter WR | DET
Football Team's DeAndre Carter: Battling for depth spot
Carter is in the mix for a roster spot, according to John Keim of ESPN.com.
Washington appears to have open competition for the third through fifth/sixth spots at wide receiver, with Carter joined by Adam Humphries, Dyami Brown, Cam Sims, Steven Sims, Kelvin Harmon, Antonio Gandy-Golden and Isaiah Wright. It's a deep group -- one where nearly anyone could win the No. 3 job, and anyone besides Brown (a rookie third-round pick) could be released. Carter probably wouldn't make the cut on his wideout credentials alone, but his ability to return punts and kicks could put him over the top.

Tyron Johnson WR | DAL
Chargers' Tyron Johnson: Dealing with foot issue
Johnson is tending to a foot/ankle injury in the early stages of training camp, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Johnson sustained the issue while coming down after a catch Saturday, per Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register. While the first two spots on the Chargers' wide receiver depth chart are set in stone with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, Johnson is vying with Jalen Guyton and potentially rookie third-rounder Josh Palmer for the No. 3 role. Johnson fared well as an undrafted first-year player last season, averaging 19.9 YPC and 15.3 YPT on his 26 targets.
-
Miles Boykin WR | CHI
Ravens' Miles Boykin: Leaves practice with injury
Boykin departed Monday's practice early due to a hamstring injury, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Coach John Harbaugh said "we'll have to see" when asked about the severity of Boykin's injury. The 2019 third-round pick already was off to a slow start at training camp, in addition to facing increased competition, so he can ill afford to miss much time. Marquise Brown (hamstring) and Rashod Bateman (undisclosed) are also dealing with injuries, and quarterback Lamar Jackson (COVID-19 list) won't be back on the field until Friday, at the earliest.
-
Quez Watkins WR | IND
Eagles' Quez Watkins: Back on the field
Watkins (illness) participated in practice Monday, Mike Kaye of NJ.com reports.
Watkins spent a few days away from teammates while dealing with a non-COVID illness, but he's now returned to both practice and full health. The second-year wideout looks to be competing for a reserve gig.
