  • Keenan Allen WR | IND

Chargers' Keenan Allen: Uncertain for season finale

Allen (hamstring) wasn't spotted on the field at practice Wednesday, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.

Meanwhile, Manzano relays that head coach Anthony Lynn acknowledged that there's a "good chance" Allen "won't be out there" for Sunday's season finale against the Chiefs. If Allen is held out this weekend, added opportunities will be available for fellow receivers Jalen Guyton and Tyron Johnson.

  • Tyler Boyd WR | TEN

    Bengals' Tyler Boyd: Limited Wednesday

Boyd (concussion) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed Wednesday that Boyd remains in the NFL's concussion protocol, leaving the wideout's status up in the air for Sunday's game against the Ravens, according to Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer. If Boyd manages to upgrade to full activity in practice Friday and gains clearance from an independent neurologist, he'll likely step back into a starting role at receiver in the season finale.

  • Tee Higgins WR | CIN

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Turns in limited practice

Higgins was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

While logging an 84 percent snap share in the Bengals' Week 16 win over the Texans, Higgins caught six passes on nine targets for 99 yards and a touchdown. With no reported setbacks coming out of that contest, Higgins' limitations Wednesday may just be maintenance-related, given that the wideout previously dealt with a hamstring issue a few weeks ago.

  • Isaiah Ford WR | CHI

Dolphins' Isaiah Ford: Signed to active roster

The Dolphins signed Ford to their 53-man roster Wednesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Ford had been elevated from the practice squad ahead of Saturday's win over the Raiders, with the wideout going on to reel in four of five targets for 37 yards. With DeVante Parker (hamstring) still iffy for Week 17 and Jakeem Grant (ankle) potentially out multiple weeks, Ford will now get a permanent spot on the roster. If the two banged-up wideouts end up sitting Sunday against the Bills, Ford could step into a starting role.

  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Potential starting role awaits

Jefferson is expected to see regular snaps in three-receiver sets Sunday against the Cardinals with Cooper Kupp (illness) ruled out for the contest, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.

Kupp's move to the reserve/COVID-19 list following his positive test for the coronavirus opens up room for Jefferson to work alongside Robert Woods and Josh Reynolds. Though both wideouts have consistently seen more involvement than Jefferson in the passing game throughout the season, predicting the distribution of targets among the team's receivers will be more difficult than usual with the unproven John Wolford set to start at quarterback in place of Jared Goff, who has been ruled out for Week 17 after undergoing thumb surgery. Jefferson, who has produced 15 receptions for 170 yards and a touchdown in 15 games this season, may have the edge over Reynolds and Woods in terms of chemistry with Wolford based on their work together on the Rams' scout team, but the rookie wideout still is little more than a dart throw in DFS tournaments and deep season-long leagues active for Week 17.

  • A.J. Brown WR | NE

Titans' A.J. Brown: Sits out practice

Brown (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Brown has been managing an ankle issue for the past three weeks, but he hasn't missed a game in December as a result. His absence from Wednesday's practice is likely more of a maintenance day, as the Titans look to preserve the wideout's health heading into a big Week 17 matchup with the Texans. If his pattern of activity in recent weeks is any indication, Brown should return to full practice participation no later than Friday.

  • Keke Coutee WR | MIA

    Texans' Keke Coutee: Limited Wednesday

Coutee (foot) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.

Houston conducted a walk-through session, but Coutee would have had his reps capped if the team held a traditional practice. The slot receiver was also limited by a foot injury last Wednesday, but he returned to full practice participation by Thursday. If Coutee follows a similar pattern this week, he should shed his injury designation ahead of Sunday's season finale versus the Titans.

  • Cole Beasley WR | NYG

Bills' Cole Beasley: Iffy for Week 17

Beasley was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice report due to a knee issue, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

The Bills are labeling Beasley as week-to-week with the injury, so at this stage, the wideout appears questionable -- at best -- for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. If Beasley misses the contest, added opportunities would be available for the likes of Gabriel Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and Andre Roberts.

  • Robbie Chosen WR | WAS

Panthers' Robby Anderson: Held out by groin injury

Anderson didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury.

Anderson was spotted wearing a red no-contact jersey at the start of the session, and after logging no reps whatsoever, he was listed with the groin issue on the Panthers' first Week 17 injury report. The fifth year of his career has been one of personal bests in terms of catches (92) and receiving yards (1,056), but Anderson only has three touchdowns on 129 targets. Anderson's status is now in question for Sunday's game against the Saints.

  • DJ Chark WR | ATL

    Jaguars' DJ Chark: Misses practice

Chark (shin) didn't practice Wednesday, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Mark Long of the Associated Press reports previously relayed that Jaguars coach Doug Marrone was unsure about Chark's Week 17 status, so the wideout's absence from practice Wednesday would appear to be more than just a maintenance day. If Chark is out or limited Sunday against the Colts, added targets would be available for Laviska Shenault, Keelan Cole and Chris Conley.
