Commanders' Van Jefferson: Joining Commanders
Jefferson (forearm) is signing with the Commanders, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.
Jefferson finished the 2025 regular season with the Titans on injured reserve due to a forearm injury, but he looks to have recovered. Prior to that injury, the six-year NFL veteran recorded 350 receiving yards in 16 games. Jefferson had 802 regular-season receiving yards back in 2021 with the Rams but hasn't topped 369 in any of his other five campaigns, which suggests he's likely ticketed for a depth role in Washington.

Titans' Van Jefferson: Placed on injured reserve
The Titans placed Jefferson (forearm) on injured reserve Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Jefferson was already ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jaguars, and his placement on injured reserve is a procedural move to open space on the Titans' 53-man roster for the return of Bryce Oliver (knee) from IR. Jefferson will end the 2025 season with 29 catches (on 52 targets) for 350 yards and one touchdown across 16 games. The sixth-year wideout will enter the offseason as a free agent.

Titans' Van Jefferson: Done for season
Interim coach Mike McCoy said after Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Saints that Jefferson is done for the season due to the forearm injury he sustained in the contest, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Jefferson won't play in the Titans' season-finale against the Jaguars next weekend and could land on IR in order to free up a roster spot for the team. In his looming absence, Mason Kinsey and/or James Proche figure to handle added WR snaps behind Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike.
