  • Penny Hart WR | ATL

Penny Hart: Signs with practice squad

Hart signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Wednesday, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.

Hart was cut by the Seahawks to make room for Josh Gordon (suspension) on the 53-man roster. However, Gordon didn't fulfill the terms of his conditional reinstatement, and he'll remain on the commissioner's exempt list indefinitely. In turn, Hart could be an option to be elevated to the active roster in the near future.

  • Packers' Equanimeous St. Brown: Still managing knee injury

St. Brown (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

St. Brown has had a cap on his practice reps since retaking the field Week 6, so there's no reason to believe his availability is in real danger. With just six catches for 96 yards on the year, however, St. Brown will be off the fantasy radar in most formats heading into Sunday's game against the Titans.

  • Richie James WR | KC

49ers' Richie James: Logs limited showing at practice

James (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.

Aside from lighting up the Packers for nine catches (on 13 targets) for 184 yards and a touchdown Week 9, James has combined for an 11-144-0 line on 16 targets over the last five games. He could be in store for a few more snaps than normal with Deebo Samuel (hamstring) unlikely to play again this season and Trent Taylor (undisclosed) going on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday. Having said that, Brandon Aiyuk is the clear No. 1 wide receiver for the 49ers, with James, Kendrick Bourne and Jordan Reed otherwise getting scraps.

  • Keenan Allen WR | IND

Chargers' Keenan Allen: Misses practice Wednesday

    Allen (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.

Allen was viewed as a game-time decision for last Thursday's tilt with the Raiders, but he suited up and saw a limited snap share (36 percent) in the Chargers' 30-27 overtime win. It's quite plausible that Allen's absence to begin Week 16 prep is maintenance-related, a scenario that would be supported by his return to practice in any capacity Thursday.

  • Keke Coutee WR | MIA

Texans' Keke Coutee: Limited to start week

Coutee was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a foot injury.

The Texans may simply be taking a cautious approach to Coutee's health, given the team's overall lack of depth at wide receiver. Coutee once again handled a major role in last weekend's loss to the Colts, playing 80 percent of the offensive snaps and churning out five receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown, though he committed a costly fumble near the goal line. Interim head coach Romeo Crennel has made it clear that despite the mistake, Coutee -- if healthy -- will remain a key component of the offense Week 16 versus the Bengals.

  • Hunter Renfrow WR | CAR

Raiders' Hunter Renfrow: Practices in full

Renfrow (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

The Raiders haven't yet announced that Renfrow has been removed from the league's five-step concussion protocol, but at the very least, the slot man looks to be trending in the right direction for Saturday's game against the Dolphins. Before exiting early with the head injury in the Raiders' Week 15 loss to the Chargers, Renfrow caught one of his two targets for a four-yard gain across 13 offensive snaps.

  • Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET

Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Another missed practice

    Smith (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.

Smith injured his ankle Week 15 against the Chiefs and has yet to take the practice field this week, which isn't a great sign as the Saints prepare to host the Vikings on Friday. In the wake of New Orleans placing Michael Thomas (ankle) on injured reserve and Smith's own health concern, Emmanuel Sanders, Juwan Johnson and Tommylee Lewis are the remaining wide receivers on the active roster.

  • Jaguars' Collin Johnson: Sits out practice

Johnson (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

The rookie fifth-round pick was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Ravens due to a hamstring issue, so it's worrying to see him sidelined at practice to begin Week 16 prep. John Shipley of SI.com relays that head coach Doug Marrone didn't express optimism about Johnson's chances of playing this weekend against the Bears earlier Wednesday, so the wideout may be closer to doubtful that questionable for the contest at this stage. Chris Conley would stand to handle increased snaps if Johnson sits out against the Bears.

  • Browns' KhaDarel Hodge: Limited Wednesday

Hodge (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Hodge missed two games due to a hamstring injury before suiting up for Sunday's win over the Giants, but the issue still seems to be lingering. As long as the receiver is able to keep practicing in a limited capacity, however, he should be in good shape to suit up for a Week 16 road game against the Jets.

  • Allen Lazard WR | NYJ

Packers' Allen Lazard: Puts in limited showing

Lazard (core/wrist) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

For the first time since he was activated from injured reserve Week 11, Lazard logged at least 75 percent of the offensive snaps -- 77, to be precise -- in Green Bay's Week 15 win over the Panthers. In the first four games after he was cleared to play following his Oct. 1 core-muscle surgery, Lazard ranged between 46 to 69 percent offensive snap shares. After picking up more work against the Panthers, Lazard is now dealing with a wrist issue along with the core injury that has been attached to his name on the Packers' recent practice reports. He has two more sessions to prove his health this week before the Packers take on the Titans on Sunday.
