  • Davante Adams WR | LAR

Packers' Davante Adams: Limited by ankle again

Adams (ankle) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

After picking up an ankle injury Week 10 against the Jaguars, Adams turned in only two limited practices Week 11. Still, the ankle issue didn't stop him from notching his fourth 100-yard effort and 10th touchdown of the season in Sunday's loss at Indianapolis. He'll look to do something similar this weekend against the Bears, assuming he gains clearance for the contest.

  • Saints' Michael Thomas: Tending to ankle issue

Thomas (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Thomas missed six games between Weeks 2 and 8 due to a high left ankle sprain, so his activity level Wednesday may have been capped for maintenance reasons. In three contests since he returned to action, he only resembled his usual self this past Sunday against the Falcons, gathering in nine of 12 targets for 104 yards. As long as he ditches his designation in time for a Week 12 matchup with the Raiders, Thomas will have a great chance to repeat the feat against a defense that has given up 8.7 yards per target to wide receivers (11th-worst in the NFL) this season.

  • Jauan Jennings WR | MIN

    Jauan Jennings: Battling hamstring injury

Coach Kyle Shanahan relayed Wednesday that Jennings remains on the practice squad injured reserve list with a hamstring injury, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.

Shanahan explained that Jennings would have been called up to the active roster to fill the void at wide receiver if it wasn't for this injury. Jennings will aim to return in about three weeks, and this same opportunity could be available at that time. The rookie seventh-round pick out of Tennessee produced a 59-969-8 line in his final collegiate season.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Limited in practice Wednesday

Samuel (hamstring) will practice in a limited capacity Wednesday, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports.

Samuel appears to have made meaningful progress in his recovery from the hamstring injury during San Francisco's bye, and it looks like he has a shot to return from his three-game absence Sunday against the Rams. With Brandon Aiyuk still on the reserve/COVID-19 list, getting Samuel back in the lineup would provide a notable boost for the 49ers' receiving corps.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: In line to practice Wednesday

Samuel (hamstring) is expected to practice Wednesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.

Samuel has been beset by injuries this season. First, a Jones fracture suffered in the offseason sidelined him for the 49ers' first three games, and most recently, a hamstring issue sidelined him for the last three contests. When he was on the field between Weeks 4 and 7, he compiled 16 catches, 199 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown. Fortunately, Samuel appears to be giving practice a shot to start Week 12 prep, but his activity level won't be known until later Wednesday.

  • Giants' Sterling Shepard: Limited, but should play

Shepard (hip/toe) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, but he's expected to suit up Sunday against the Bengals, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Prior to the Giants' Week 11 bye, Shepard appeared on the Giants' injury report with the same two issues, but neither prevented him from playing in a Week 10 win over the Eagles. The 27-year-old wideout has put together four straight games with at least six catches while serving as Daniel Jones' preferred check-down option.

  • A.J. Brown WR | NE

Titans' A.J. Brown: Sits out Wednesday's practice

Brown (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean reports.

Brown has occasionally missed practice time in recent weeks while managing the knee injury that sidelined him for two games earlier this season, but he's been able to play in each of the Titans' last seven contests. He logged 57 of the Titans' 70 offensive snaps in the team's Week 11 win over the Ravens, catching four of seven targets for 62 yards and a touchdown. His absence from practice Wednesday isn't necessarily a red flag with regard to his availability for Sunday's game against the Colts.

  • Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins: Dealing with Illness

Hopkins missed Wednesday's practice due to an illness, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

There's no reason to believe yet that Hopkins is dealing with symptoms related to COVID-19, but he and tight end Maxx Williams both are tending to illnesses to kick off Week 12 preparations. Hopkins will have two more days to put it behind him before the Cardinals will make a determination on his potential to play Sunday at New England.

  • Jamal Agnew WR | ATL

Lions' Jamal Agnew: Should have role on offense

Agnew is expected to handle an expanded role on offense Thursday against the Texans with fellow wideouts Kenny Golladay (hip) and Danny Amendola (hip) ruled out for the contest.

Over his four seasons with Detroit, Agnew has provided most of his value as one of the NFL's top return men, but he was thrust into more work at receiver in the Week 11 loss to Carolina while Golladay and Amendola were sidelined. Working behind Marvin Jones and Marvin Hall, Agnew surprisingly settled in as the No. 3 receiver over Quintez Cephus, playing 50 percent of the offensive snaps and hauling in three of six targets for 10 yards. While the per-target production was poor, that sort of volume could be enough to make Agnew a reasonable punt play for the two-game Thanksgiving Day DFS slate.

  • Calvin Ridley WR | TEN

Falcons' Calvin Ridley: Limited at practice Wednesday

Ridley (foot) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.

Ridley sat out Week 9 due to a mid-foot sprain, but after Atlanta's ensuing bye, he reeled in five catches (on nine targets) for 90 yards in this past Sunday's loss at New Orleans. While the limitations on his reps Wednesday may have been maintenance-related, Ridley still has two more sessions to elevate to full activity before week's end.
