Steven Sims WR | ARI
Football Team's Steven Sims: Set to come off IR
Sims (toe) will be activated off injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
The return of Sims couldn't come at a better time for the Washington passing attack considering Dontrelle Inman (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game, and Isaiah Wright has done little with the increased opportunities. Terry McLaurin still looms large as the team's true No. 1 option, but expect Sims to slot in right away, at least in three wide-receiver sets.

Deebo Samuel WR | SF
49ers' Deebo Samuel: Back from reserve/COVID-19 list
The 49ers activated Samuel (hamstring) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
After teammate Kendrick Bourne was placed on the list Wednesday following a positive COVID-19 test, Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams were added to the list later in the day when the three were identified to be in close contact with Bourne. All four players were then held out of Thursday's 34-17 loss to the Packers, even though Bourne proceeded to test negative Thursday and Friday, seemingly confirming that the initial test result was a false positive. Samuel would have missed the Week 9 contest regardless while he continues to recover from a hamstring injury, but his reinstatement from the COVID-19 list at least removes one potential hurdle as he attempts to return to the lineup Week 10 against the Saints. According to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, coach Kyle Shahanan said Friday that he hopes Samuel will be back in action next week, but the wideout's status will ultimately hinge on what he's able to do once the 49ers return to the practice field.

Brandon Aiyuk WR | SF
49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Comes off reserve/COVID-19 list
Aiyuk was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
After teammate Kendrick Bourne was placed on the list Wednesday following his positive COVID-19 test, Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams were added to the list later in the day when the three were identified to be in close contact with Bourne. All four players were held out of Thursday's 34-17 loss to the Packers, even though Bourne proceeded to test negative Thursday and Friday, seemingly confirming that the initial test result was a false positive. Along with Aiyuk, the other three players were reinstated Friday, so the San Francisco offense should have more firepower on hand when the team returns to action Nov. 15 in New Orleans.

Lynn Bowden Jr. WR | NO
Dolphins' Lynn Bowden: Lands on COVID-19 list
The Dolphins placed Bowden on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Travis Wingfield of the team's official site reports.
Bowden has either tested positive for the virus or come into close contact with an infected person, and he won't play Sunday against the Cardinals. The rookie third-rounder will need to clear the necessary protocols before returning to team activities. He could have an increased role upon his return because the Dolphins traded away Isaiah Ford on Tuesday, and Myles Gaskin (knee) is on IR.

Kendrick Bourne WR | ARI
49ers' Kendrick Bourne: Reinstated from COVID-19 list
The 49ers activated Bourne from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
Bourne was placed on the list Wednesday after testing positive earlier that day, but negative tests Thursday and Friday seemingly confirmed that the initial result was a false positive. The wideout was still forced to miss Thursday's 34-17 loss to the Packers, while fellow receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel (hamstring) and offensive tackle Trent Williams also sat out after being deemed close contacts of Bourne. In addition to Bourne, the 49ers activated Aiyuk, Samuel and Williams on Friday, so they should be available for the team's next game Nov. 15 in New Orleans. Samuel does have a hamstring injury that could prevent him from playing, which would free up more snaps and targets for Bourne.

Ty Montgomery WR | NE
Saints' Ty Montgomery: Back from IR
Montgomery (hamstring) has been activated from IR for Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, Luke Johnson of NOLA.com reports.
Montgomery has been practicing for three weeks now, so he's ready to return to action for this divisional tilt. He hasn't played since Week 2, and he recorded just three touches through the first two games. With the Saints' offense mostly healthy, too, his role will be reserved to change-of-pace duties behind Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray.
-
Michael Thomas WR | NO
Saints' Michael Thomas: Should be ready for Sunday
Thomas (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable, but he appears on track to play in Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, according to Katherine Terrell of The Athletic.
While he never returned to full practice participation, Thomas did make it through limited sessions Wednesday-Friday without any report of a setback. Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on the situation, which could get dicey if the Saints treat Thomas as a game-time decision before their 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. It sounds like it may not come to that, but we don't know for sure just yet.
-
Bryan Edwards WR | NO
Raiders' Bryan Edwards: Cleared for Week 9
Edwards (foot/ankle) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus the Chargers.
Edwards hasn't played a snap since Week 3, but now he has two full practices under his belt and is ready for Sunday's divisional tilt. Nelson Agholor has carved out a role in the Raiders' offense, so Edwards likely will operate as the No. 4 wide receiver behind Agholor, Henry Ruggs and Hunter Renfrow. Edwards should have an opportunity to secure more responsibility once he's eased into the lineup.
-
Trent Taylor WR | SF
49ers' Trent Taylor: Fails to seize opportunity
Taylor was held to one reception (four targets) for nine yards in Thursday's 34-17 loss to Green Bay.
Kendrick Bourne and Brandon Aiyuk were held out of action due to potential exposure to COVID-19, so the 49ers were running thin at the wide receiver position. Taylor remained in the slot (58 percent of offensive snaps) and did not absorb any of the targets left behind by the two sidelined starters. Richie James (nine receptions for 184 yards and a touchdown) was the receiver to step it up, which could put Taylor's slot role in jeopardy going forward in the likely event both Aiyuk and Bourne are ready to go against the Saints following 10 off days.
