  • Adam Humphries WR | HOU

Titans' Adam Humphries: Ruled out for Week 9

Coach Mike Vrabel said Friday that Humphries (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's game against Chicago, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Humphrey will need to fully clear the league's five-step concussion protocol before he's able to retake the field, leaving next week's Thursday night matchup against the Colts as his earliest possible return date. In the meantime, Kalif Raymond stands to slot in as the No. 3 wideout behind top options A.J. Brown (knee) and Corey Davis.

  • Tim Patrick WR | NYJ

Broncos' Tim Patrick: Questionable but expected to play

Patrick (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said Friday that he believes the wide receiver will be able to play, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Patrick was sidelined for the Broncos' Week 8 win over the Chargers, but the wideout appears to be in improved health this week after practicing in a limited fashion Wednesday through Friday. Even if he's at less than 100 percent come Sunday, Patrick would offer some upside if he's able to suit up against a Falcons defense that's allowing over 300 passing yards per game.

  • Adam Humphries WR | HOU

Titans' Adam Humphries: Not at practice Friday

Humphries (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

That doesn't bode well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Bears, with more clarity on Humphries' Week 9 status due upon the release of Friday's final injury report.

  • A.J. Brown WR | NE

Titans' A.J. Brown: Back at practice

Brown (knee) returned to practice Friday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

Brown's Thursday absence could be chalked up to rep management, a notion that would be confirmed if he ends up approaching Sunday's game against the Bears minus an injury designation.

  • N'Keal Harry TE | SEA

Patriots' N'Keal Harry: Remains sidelined Friday

Harry (concussion) wasn't present for practice Friday, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.

Harry hasn't practiced since being forced out of the Patriots' Week 7 loss to the 49ers. If he ends up being ruled out for Monday's game against the Jets, Jakobi Meyers and Damiere Byrd would continue to head New England's receiver corps.

  • Steven Sims WR | ARI

Football Team's Steven Sims: Looks ready to play

Sims (toe) appears likely to return from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants, as he's been a full practice participant throughout the week, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.

Coach Ron Rivera hasn't commented on the situation, but all other signs point to Sims being ready to play. Sims was a starter back in Weeks 1 and 2, but he came off the bench Week 3 and was placed on IR in early October. He could be reinstated to a starting job now that he's healthy, considering Dontrelle Inman (doubtful, hamstring) and Isaiah Wright haven't exactly set the world on fire.

  • 49ers' Kendrick Bourne: Gets another negative test

Bourne is eligible to be removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list after he received another negative test Friday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bourne seemingly had a false positive test Wednesday, as he's now tested negative on back-to-back days after being placed on the list. The wideout was still forced to sit out Thursday's loss to the Packers due to the initial result, while Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams were also ruled out due to being deemed close contacts of Bourne. Expect the 49ers to reinstate all four players from the reserve/COVID-19 list, though Samuel's hamstring injury could prevent him from playing Week 10 against New Orleans.

  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Expected to play

Coach Bruce Arians said he expects Godwin (finger) to play in Sunday's game against the Saints, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Arians said it's now a matter of pain tolerance for Godwin, who is less than two weeks removed from surgery to address a fractured index finger. Though the Buccaneers seemingly expect the wideout to return to the lineup after sitting out the Week 8 win over the Giants, Godwin could still be listed as questionable when Tampa Bay releases its final injury report of the week later Friday.

  • Jets' Breshad Perriman: Nearly out of concussion protocol

Jets head coach Adam Gase said Friday that Perriman has reached the last stage of the league's five-step concussion protocol, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Perriman was able to practice in a limited fashion Thursday, and he looks on pace to upgrade to full activity by Friday or Saturday. If that happens, the wideout would be in good shape to return to the lineup for Monday's game against the Patriots. Additionally, top wideout Jamison Crowder (groin) upgraded to a limited session Friday, so the Jets' pass-catching group appears to be in better overall health as the Week 9 matchup approaches.

  • Jets' Jamison Crowder: Practicing in limited fashion

Crowder (groin) will be a limited participant in Friday's practice, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Crowder has missed two straight games due to a lingering groin injury, but he'll have the benefit of an extra day to heal up with the Jets playing the Patriots on Monday night this week. While Crowder's return to the field in a limited fashion Friday bodes well for his chances of playing Week 9, the extent of his participation in Saturday's workout will likely be the deciding factor on his status for the game.
