  • Jets' Breshad Perriman: Nearly out of concussion protocol

Jets head coach Adam Gase said Friday that Perriman has reached the last stage of the league's five-step concussion protocol, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Perriman was able to practice in a limited fashion Thursday, and he looks on pace to upgrade to full activity by Friday or Saturday. If that happens, the wideout would be in good shape to return to the lineup for Monday's game against the Patriots. Additionally, top wideout Jamison Crowder (groin) upgraded to a limited session Friday, so the Jets' pass-catching group appears to be in better overall health as the Week 9 matchup approaches.

  • Jets' Jamison Crowder: Practicing in limited fashion

Crowder (groin) will be a limited participant in Friday's practice, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.

Crowder has missed two straight games due to a lingering groin injury, but he'll have the benefit of an extra day to heal up with the Jets playing the Patriots on Monday night this week. While Crowder's return to the field in a limited fashion Friday bodes well for his chances of playing Week 9, the extent of his participation in Saturday's workout will likely be the deciding factor on his status for the game.

  • Richie James WR | KC

49ers' Richie James: Career-best night in loss

James secured nine of 13 targets for 184 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' 34-17 loss to the Packers on Thursday night.

On a night when the 49ers were down Deebo Samuel (hamstring/COVID-19), Brandon Aiyuk (reserve/COVID-19), Kendrick Bourne (reserve/COVID-19) and George Kittle (foot), James exploded for an explosive fantasy night that was highlighted by a 41-yard touchdown grab in the fourth quarter. James only had 15 catches and 295 yards over his first two seasons coming into Thursday's contest, so he nearly matched those numbers with his busy night. James clearly paid off handsomely for those who may have picked him up as a streaming option or rolled the dice on him in DFS formats Thursday, but with the 49ers not back on the field until Sunday, November 15, James may be down to at least third on the depth chart if Samuel, Aiyuk and Bourne are healthy enough to return by that point.

  • Packers' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Maximizes both catches in win

Valdes-Scantling secured two of four targets for 53 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 34-17 win over the 49ers on Thursday night.

Valdes-Scantling was once again in the highly familiar role of playing clear second fiddle to Davante Adams, but he still managed to reward fantasy managers with a productive showing courtesy of his touchdown grabs of 52 and one yard in the second and third quarter, respectively. The pair of scores were MVS's first visits to the end zone since Week 1, however, and with Allen Lazard (abdomen) projected to return for a Week 10 matchup against the Jaguars in 10 days, the former's fantasy glory may well be short-lived.

  • Davante Adams WR | LAR

Packers' Davante Adams: Tramples Niners in win

Adams secured 10 of 12 targets for 173 yards with one touchdown in the Packers' 34-17 win over the 49ers on Thursday night.

The Pro Bowl wideout posted a game-high reception total and also set the pace for the Packers in receiving yardage. Adams gave a hint of what type of night was in store when he capped off Green Bay's opening drive with a 36-yard touchdown grab, and he went on to easily post his third 100-yard effort and second-highest yardage tally of the campaign. Adams' first-quarter score also gives him at least one touchdown catch in three straight contests, a streak he'll look to maintain in a favorable Week 10 matchup against the Jaguars on Sunday, Nov. 15.

  • David Moore WR | CAR

Seahawks' David Moore: Held out Thursday

Moore (ankle/back) was a non-participant during the Seahawks' practice session Thursday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Moore was absent from the Seahawks' injury report Wednesday, prompting curiosity regarding the time and place when he sustained the two injuries. It's certainly possible the 25-year-old wideout suffered the injuries during practice, though until more details are uncovered, his status for a Week 9 matchup against Buffalo remains uncertain. Moore has registered six catches for 72 yards and a touchdown over his past two appearances, and he has at least four targets in three consecutive games played.

  • Vyncint Smith WR | IND

Jets' Vyncint Smith: Dealing with injury

Smith (groin) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice.

It's unclear how Smith suffered the injury, as he's suited up in each of the last three games. The Limestone College product has been limited to special teams, as he's supplied just one catch for 13 yards on offense. If Smith is forced to miss Monday's game against the Patriots, Jeff Smith would be in line for more offensive and special-teams snaps.

  • Dan Chisena WR | CAR

Vikings' Dan Chisena: Held to limited participation

Chisena (hip) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session.

The 23-year-old receiver was ruled out of Sunday's NFC North matchup against Green Bay, marking his first game absence of 2020. Chisena has yet to field a single offensive snap during his rookie campaign out of Penn State, though he has played an important special-teams role with an average of 21 snaps per game in that department. Given that he's been able to log consecutive limited sessions in practice Wednesday and Thursday, there's a reasonable chance of him being active for another divisional matchup Week 9 against Detroit.

  • Raiders' Bryan Edwards: Practices without limitations

Edwards (foot/ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Edwards hasn't suited up for game action since Week 3 in New England, but his ability to practice fully Thursday would seem to indicate that he's on track to return against the Chargers on Sunday. Given how cautious the Raiders have been regarding Edwards' recovery, the team could opt to ease him back to action behind Henry Ruggs, Nelson Agholor and Hunter Renfrow, rather than counting on the rookie to immediately re-enter the starting rotation.

  • Jamal Agnew WR | ATL

Lions' Jamal Agnew: Misses second straight practice

Agnew (ribs) did not practice Thursday.

Agnew has yet to resume practicing since being forced out of Sunday's loss to the Colts with a rib injury. If he can't go Week 9, Danny Amendola will stand to take over a Detroit's primary return man.
