Jayden Reed WR | GB
Packers' Jayden Reed: Facing 6-to-8-week absence
Reed is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks after fracturing his collarbone in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Rapoport previously reported Friday that Reed will undergo surgery next week to address the injury, and the estimated 6-to-8-week recovery timeline will keep him out through early-to-mid-November. The Packers will likely place Reed on injured reserve in the coming days to open up a spot on the 53-man roster. While Reed is sidelined, the Packers should have extra snaps available for all of the remaining members of their deep rotation of receivers (Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath). Through Green Bay's first two games, Doubs is the only Packers receiver to play more than 70 percent of snaps (71 percent Week 1, 74 percent Week 2).

Jauan Jennings WR | SF
49ers' Jauan Jennings: Trending toward playing
Jennings (shoulder) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday in New Orleans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network previously reported Saturday that while Jennings was viewed as a game-time decision for Week 2, the 49ers had optimism that he would be able to play. Jennings' prospects for suiting up Sunday having seemingly only improved overnight, though the 49ers will likely wait and see how he fares during a pregame workout before clearing him to play in advance of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Assuming Jennings ultimately gets the green light to play, he'll be working with a new starting quarterback in Mac Jones, who appears poised to direct the offense for multiple games due to Brock Purdy (toe) facing a projected 2-to-5-week recovery timeline.

Jauan Jennings WR | SF
49ers' Jauan Jennings: Optimism for Sunday
Jennings, who is listed as questionable to play Sunday against New Orleans due to a shoulder injury, is considered a game-time decision, though the 49ers have "optimism he goes," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Jennings hurt his shoulder during the 49ers' Week 1 win over the Seahawks and sat out each of the 49ers' first two practices this week. However, he was able to return in a limited fashion Friday to get a designation of questionable heading into the weekend. While Rapoport indicates the 49ers are optimistic Jennings will be able to play, that decision probably won't be made until the wideout goes through his pregame workout. Official word on Jennings' status will arrive when the 49ers release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Braxton Berrios WR | HOU
Texans' Braxton Berrios: Missing Week 2
Berrios (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Monday night's contest against the Buccaneers.
Berrios' absence in Week 2 comes as no surprise, as the first-year Texan was unable to practice all week after missing the team's Week 1 loss to the Rams due to a hamstring injury. With Berrios set to miss his second consecutive game Monday night, Jaylin Noel will likely serve as Houston's top punt returner.

David Sills WR | ATL
Falcons' David Sills: Joins active roster
Sills signed with the Falcons' active roster Saturday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.
Sills was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for the Falcons' Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers, playing two offensive snaps and failing to record a stat. Now that he's signed to the active roster, the 29-year-old is expected to play a depth role in Atlanta's wide receiver corps in the Week 2 matchup against the Vikings. In a corresponding move, Jordan Fuller (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

Christian Kirk WR | HOU
Texans' Christian Kirk: Set to sit Monday
Kirk (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game versus the Buccaneers.
Kirk didn't practice all week, and he'll miss a second straight game to start the season. Jayden Higgins, Xavier Hutchinson, Justin Watson and Jaylin Noel all handled additional reps behind star wideout Nico Collins last week, and there figures to be a similar rotation in Week 2. Kirk's next chance to play is Week 3 versus the Jaguars.

Chris Godwin WR | TB
Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Won't return in Week 2
Coach Todd Bowles said Saturday that Godwin (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game at Houston, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Godwin logged his first practice reps Thursday since sustaining a dislocated left ankle Week 7 during the 2024 campaign, but he followed up that limited session with no activity Friday before Bowles made a ruling on his availability for Week 2. His next chance for game action arrives Sunday, Sept. 21 against the Jets, but he may need to practice on back-to-back days in order to put himself in a position to make his season debut. Mike Evans and rookie first-round pick Emeka Egbuka will continue to serve as the primary wide receivers for quarterback Baker Mayfield until Godwin is cleared to return.

Jahdae Walker WR | CHI
Bears' Jahdae Walker: Out against Lions
Walker (ankle) has been downgraded from doubtful to out for Sunday's game versus the Lions, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
The undrafted rookie suited up in the season-opening loss to the Vikings but stuck to special teams. Walker's next chance to play is Week 3 versus the Cowboys.

Ryan Flournoy WR | DAL
Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Signs with 53-man roster
Flournoy signed with the Cowboys' 53-man roster Saturday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Flournoy was elevated from the practice squad for the Week 1 loss to the Eagles, when he played 14 special-teams snaps. The 2024 sixth-round pick isn't expected to play much on offense in the Week 2 matchup versus the Giants.

Gage Larvadain WR | CLE
Gage Larvadain: Heads to waivers
The Browns waived Larvadain on Saturday, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports.
Larvadain made the 53-man roster out of training camp as an undrafted rookie, but he was a healthy scratch for the Week 1 loss to the Bengals. He's expected to remain on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
