  • 49ers' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Plays role of decoy Sunday

Valdes-Scantling logged 27 snaps on offense and did not receive a target in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Seahawks.

Valdes-Scantling was promoted from the 49ers' practice squad ahead of a Week 1 matchup against his former club. The 30-year-old wound up finishing fourth in WR snap counts (36 percent), but he was used only as a downfield decoy after receiving no actual targets. Valdes-Scantling is always a threat to break off a big play, but unpredictable usage keeps him off the fantasy radar against the Saints in Week 2.

  • Skyy Moore WR | SF

49ers' Skyy Moore: Handles return duties for SF

Moore did not receive a target and returned five combined kicks for 63 yards in Sunday's 17-13 win over Seattle.

Moore latched on to San Francisco's 53-man roster in training camp, securing primary return man responsibilities in the process. The former Chief only logged three snaps on offense despite the 49ers being shorthanded at receiver to begin the year, wiping away any potential fantasy upside. Moore did put the ball on the ground on one of his five return attempts Sunday, but he was fortunate enough to recover his own mistake. The 24-year-old will continue serving as San Francisco's return specialist when the team travels to New Orleans in Week 2.

  • Elijah Cooks WR | NO

    Elijah Cooks: Dropped by Philadelphia

Cooks was cut from the Eagles' practice squad Monday.

The third-year pro from San Jose State failed to make Philadelphia's initial 53-man roster but was added to the practice squad in late August. However, it now appears the Eagles have decided to move in another direction. Cooks will look for work elsewhere after posting three catches for 38 yards on four targets throughout his 11 career regular-season contests.

  • Isaac TeSlaa WR | DET

Lions' Isaac TeSlaa: Role will increase

Lions coach Dan Campbell said Monday that the team plans for TeSlaa, who played just three offensive snaps during Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Packers, to get more opportunities going forward, Tim Twentyman of the team's official site reports.

TeSlaa flashed in his limited opportunities Week 1, scoring a highlight reel 13-yard touchdown on his lone target with 55 seconds left in the loss. Campbell indicated that part of the reason for TeSlaa's low snap count can be attributed to the illness that limited his practice activity heading into the matchup against Green Bay. The rookie third-rounder figures to see increased playing time immediately Week 2 against the Bears, though it could take time before he's given a true opportunity to surpass Kalif Raymond as the No. 3 receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

  • Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Taking it day by day with shoulder

Coach Andy Reid said Monday the team is taking it "day by day" with Worthy's dislocated shoulder, Pete Sweeney of The Kansas City Star reports.

"I know Xavier's the big question, and he's rehabbing and working his shoulder," Reid said. "We'll just see where it goes day by day here - see where we end up." Reid was careful with his words, refusing to commit to a firm timetable for the second-year receiver. For what it's worth, Adam Schefter of ESPN said Monday that Worthy is likely to miss some time. Fantasy players will need to closely monitor Worthy's practice habits in the coming days and weeks. If Worthy is unable to play Week 2, Kansas City likely will roll with Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton as its top three receivers versus Philadelphia.

  • Pat Bryant WR | DEN

Broncos' Pat Bryant: Non-factor in debut

Bryant failed to record a target in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Titans.

Bryant played just four of the Broncos' 76 offensive snaps Sunday, the fewest of any offensive player. The rookie was the only wideout who saw action on offense that wasn't targeted in the contest. Despite his limited usage behind fellow receivers Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims and Trent Sherfield, it's reasonable to think that Bryant will be eased into more playing time as the season progresses. For now, it appears his more experienced teammates will handle the majority of opportunities in the passing game. The 22-year-old Illinois product will look to get involved in a Week 2 matchup with the Colts, especially if quarterback Bo Nix continues to spread the ball around as he did on Sunday, targeting 11 different pass catchers.

  • Packers' Dontayvion Wicks: Makes two receptions

Wicks was targeted twice and caught two passes for 30 yards in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions.

A calf injury left Wicks uncertain for Week 1, but he suited up for the season opener and worked as a reserve wideout. He could get a bit more involved after averaging 4.5 targets per game a season ago, but even with Christian Watson (knee) sidelined he seemingly remains the fourth option among Packers receivers behind the trio of Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden and Romeo Doubs.

  • Packers' Savion Williams: Works as kick returner

Williams caught one pass for two yards and returned two kicks for 39 yards in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions.

Williams -- a third-round pick in this year's NFL Draft -- played only three snaps on offense after missing a couple weeks of action with a hamstring injury, but he did get an opportunity to contribute on special teams in his professional debut. He could get more involved as the season wears on, but he will have his work cut out for him with quality depth in Green Bay's wide receiver room.

  • Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Likely to miss time

Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN stated Worthy (shoulder) will probably miss a little bit of time and be viewed as week-to-week.

Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder three snaps into Friday night's eventual loss to the Chargers when he and Travis Kelce collided over the middle of the field. It's now sounding like Worthy is going to miss time, perhaps multiple games with that week-to-week outlook. With Worthy missing most of Week 1 and Rashee Rice serving his six-game suspension to open the season, Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Tyquan Thornton paced the Chiefs' wide receivers in playing time. Brown was particularly involved, turning 16 targets into a 10-99-0 line.

  • David Sills WR | ATL

Falcons' David Sills: Sees two snaps in opener

Sills played two offensive snaps during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers.

Sills initially made the Falcons' first 53-man roster but was cut a week later. Atlanta then re-signed him to the practice squad and elevated him for the regular-season opener due to Darnell Mooney (shoulder) being inactive. However, Sills was still a non-factor offensively. Drake London (shoulder) and Jamal Agnew (groin) suffered injuries during the opener, so Sills could be elevated again in Week 2 if Atlanta's wideout room isn't at full strength.
