  • Packers' Savion Williams: Nursing hamstring injury

Williams (hamstring) is not practicing Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Williams has missed time at practice recently, and he's also been sidelined for Green Bay's first two preseason games, but the team had been dodgy about specifying the nature of the rookie third-round pick's injury. He missed nearly a week at the start of training camp due to a concussion, so at this stage it will be crucial for Williams to get back on the field soon and make the most of the remaining reps available before Week 1. Saturday's preseason finale against Seattle will be Williams' final chance to log exhibition action.

  • Dyami Brown WR | WAS

Jaguars' Dyami Brown: No limitations in practice

Brown (lower body) was a full practice participant Tuesday, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.

Jaguars coach Liam Coen said Brown missed Sunday's preseason game at New Orleans because of stiffness in his lower body. With Travis Hunter (upper body) also banged up, the Jags turned to Parker Washington and Austin Trammell for first-team WR snaps alongside Brian Thomas. Brown's workload in the regular season will partially depend on how much the Jags want to use two-way phenom Hunter on offense.

  • Travis Hunter CB | JAC

    Jaguars' Travis Hunter: Nearing return

Hunter (upper body) remains day-to-day and may return for Thursday's joint practice with the Dolphins, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.

He missed a preseason game against New Orleans this past Sunday after playing with the first-string offense and second-string defense in Jacksonville's exhibition opener. Jaguars coach Liam Coen has been clear since last week that Hunter's injury isn't serious and shouldn't keep him out for long.

  • Calvin Ridley WR | TEN

Titans' Calvin Ridley: Not practicing Tuesday

Ridley is dealing with some soreness and won't practice Tuesday, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.

Titans coach Brian Callahan didn't give any further details on Ridley's condition. The veteran wideout has otherwise been healthy throughout offseason practices and training camp, getting plenty of reps to build chemistry with rookie quarterback Cameron Ward. Ridley's availability for Week 1 doesn't seem to be in any jeopardy.

  • Buccaneers' Jalen McMillan: To miss start of season

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said Tuesday that McMillan has a severe neck strain and "is going to miss some time", Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Bowles added that McMillan's injury isn't expected to be career-threatening, per Stroud. That's welcome news after the wideout was undercut by a Steelers defender during Saturday's preseason game and landed hard on his neck and head. It remains to be seen whether the Buccaneers will place McMillan on IR when the 53-man roster is finalized, which would force him to sit out at least the first four weeks of the regular season. With Chris Godwin (ankle) still on the active/PUP list and also iffy for the start of the campaign, Mike Evans, rookie first-rounder Emeka Egbuka and tight end Cade Otton are likely to be Baker Mayfield's top downfield options in Week 1 against the Falcons, and possibly beyond.

  • Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Absent from practice

McMillan (hamstring) is not practicing Tuesday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.

Panthers coach Dave Canales said McMillan is simply dealing with a tight hamstring after having handled a large preseason workload. The rookie first-rounder also sat out Monday's practice, but at this stage there are no concerns about his availability for Week 1. Canales has already announced that Carolina's starters will sit out Thursday's preseason finale against Pittsburgh.

  • DeVonta Smith WR | PHI

Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Dealing with injury

Smith is not practicing Tuesday due to a groin injury, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Smith is present at Tuesday's practice in street clothes, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia, but he and fellow star wideout A.J. Brown (hamstring) are not practicing. While neither Smith nor Brown appear to be dealing with any sort of issue that could threaten their Week 1 availability, the WR tandem figures to be held out of Friday's preseason finale against the Jets if they're at anything less than 100 percent -- assuming any of Philadelphia's starters are given the green light to suit up versus New York.

  • A.J. Brown WR | PHI

Eagles' A.J. Brown: Could practice next week

Brown (hamstring) is not participating in Tuesday's practice, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.

The star wideout is sitting out another practice, though offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo said when the training staff "is ready to cut him loose, he'll be cut loose," which could occur next week. Brown managed to get in two limited practices to begin last week, and the Eagles simply seem to be taking a cautious approach to his recovery. There doesn't seem to be any concern about his availability for Week 1, but expect him to sit out Friday's preseason finale against the Jets.

  • Buccaneers' Jalen McMillan: Sidelined at practice

McMillan (back/neck) is not participating in practice Tuesday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

McMillan is present at Tuesday's practice, but he's watching from the sidelines while still wearing a neck brace, Mark Skol of Fox 13 News reports. The second-year pro is working his way back from an injury suffered due to a rough landing during last Saturday's preseason win over Pittsburgh, when he was undercut by a defender while making a leaping catch. He's likely to sit out Tampa Bay's preseason finale against Buffalo on Saturday, Aug. 23.

  • Jonathan Mingo WR | DAL

Cowboys' Jonathan Mingo: Expected to start on IR

Mingo (knee) is expected to begin the regular season on IR due to a PCL sprain suffered during Dallas' preseason loss to Baltimore on Saturday, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.

Mingo is expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks, if not longer, due to the knee injury he picked up while hauling in a 49-yard reception in the third quarter Saturday. The third-year wideout will likely be placed on IR on Aug. 26, when the initial 53-man roster is finalized. Once healthy, Mingo will be competing for reps and targets with CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin.
