  • Stefon Diggs WR | NE

Patriots' Stefon Diggs: Not available Saturday

Diggs (knee) wasn't in uniform for Saturday's preseason contest against the Vikings, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

Diggs also sat out the Patriots' preseason opener against the Commanders, which means that Aug. 21 against the Giants will be the wideout's last chance to log game reps ahead of the regular season. Diggs, who is bouncing back from a torn ACL that he suffered last October, avoided the PUP list to begin training camp and has "been out here almost every day," coach Mike Vrabel noted Thursday. However, unless Diggs sees action versus New York next week, or the Patriots elect to confirm his availability for the team's opener, Diggs' status will remain worth monitoring.

  • Nico Collins WR | HOU

Texans' Nico Collins: Starters suiting up Saturday

Collins will join quarterback C.J. Stroud and the majority of Houston's starters in suiting up for Saturday's preseason game against the Panthers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Collins and Stroud both sat out the Texans' preseason opener against the Vikings last week, but key starters will get a chance to log some exhibition reps versus Carolina. Though he remains positioned as Houston's clear No. 1 wideout, Collins' surrounding context has changed substantially since last season, as Stefon Diggs (ACL) is now a member of the Patriots and Tank Dell (ACL) appears set to miss a good portion of the 2025 campaign. Replacing Diggs and Dell in three-wide sets alongside Collins is veteran slot specialist Christian Kirk, with rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel seemingly battling for opportunities in the No. 3 role.

  • Packers' Matthew Golden: Suiting up Saturday

Golden will play in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Golden will be available for quarterback Malik Willis, despite starters including RB Josh Jacobs and TE Tucker Kraft being listed as healthy scratches. Across the starting lineup, Green Bay will have multiple players sitting out due to injuries, including Jordan Love (thumb), Jayden Reed (foot), Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Romeo Doubs (back).

  • Dominic Lovett WR | DET

Lions' Dominic Lovett: Could return Saturday

Lovett (abdomen) is suited up and taking part in special-teams warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason matchup versus the Dolphins, Richard Silva of The Detroit News reports.

Lovett was able to play in Detroit's first exhibition contest against the Chargers, tallying five catches on nine targets for 31 yards. However, he hurt his abdomen during practice the following week and missed the Lions' second preseason game, which was against Atlanta last Friday. It appears Lovett -- who returned to practice Thursday -- has made enough progress in his recovery to potentially return to action against the Dolphins, which would be a big boost for him in his bid to earn a roster spot as a depth wideout.

  • Tory Horton WR | SEA

Seahawks' Tory Horton: Tweaks ankle vs. Kansas City

Horton injured his ankle during the second quarter of Friday's 33-16 preseason win over the Chiefs and did not return, Michael-Shawn Duggar of The Athletic reports.

Horton caught one pass on two targets for 12 yards, and it was during his catch at the 3:33 mark in the second quarter when he appeared to injure his ankle after stumbling awkwardly out of bounds. The rookie fifth-rounder was held out for the rest of the game, though head coach Mike Macdonald relayed that Horton could have re-entered the contest if it were needed. Horton's ankle injury doesn't appear to be serious, and as long as he participates in practice in the coming week, he should be available to play in the Seahawks' preseason finale against the Packers on Saturday, Aug. 23.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Browns' Jerry Jeudy: Not on track to play Saturday

Jeudy is among the key Cleveland players not slated to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Eagles, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.

Jeudy also sat out the team's preseason opener, so his last chance to log exhibition snaps will occur Aug. 23 against the Rams. As the coming season approaches, Jeudy remains entrenched as the No. 1 option in a Cleveland wideout corps that also includes Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash and Diontae Johnson.

  • Jalen Coker WR | CAR

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Likely out due to illness

Coker (illness) is not expected to suit up for Saturday's preseason game against the Texans, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Coker impressed during Carolina's preseason matchup against the Browns, scoring Carolina's only touchdown of the 30-10 loss while finishing with a 2-17-1 receiving line. The second-year pro is competing with Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette for reps in three-wide sets, with rookie first-rounder Tetairoa McMillan seemingly already having entrenched himself as Bryce Young's clear No. 1 wideout. It looks like Coker will have to wait until the Panthers' preseason finale against Pittsburgh on Thursday, Aug. 21 for his next chance to build exhibition momentum, however.

  • Bengals' Jermaine Burton: Won't suit up vs. Washington

Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Saturday that Burton (undisclosed) is ruled out for Monday's preseason game against the Commanders, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Burton has missed practice reps since last Sunday due to an undisclosed injury, and he was limited to rehab work in his return to practice Friday. The second-year pro seems to be progressing well in his recovery, at least, so he could be back in action in time for Cincinnati's preseason finale against the Colts on Saturday, Aug. 23. A 2024 third-pick, Burton is coming off a disappointing rookie campaign in which he corralled just four of 14 targets for 104 yards across 14 regular-season appearances, and at this stage he seems to have fallen behind Andrei Iosivas in the competition for the No. 3 receiver gig behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

  • Terry McLaurin WR | WAS

Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Activated from PUP list

The Commanders activated McLaurin (ankle) from the active/PUP list Saturday.

McLaurin's activation from the PUP list doesn't seem to represent a step forward in his pursuit of a new long-term extension, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, but with Washington's regular-season opener against the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 7 now roughly three weeks away, the No. 1 wideout is ready to get back on the practice field and get into game shape. Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports that McLaurin isn't participating in on-field drills at practice Saturday, though he could simply be handling his ramp-up work inside team facilities. The soon-to-be 30-year-old wideout is currently heading into the final year of his deal with the Commanders, and his dissatisfaction with the lack of progress on extension negotiations has been severe enough that he made a trade request July 31.

  • Cooper Kupp WR | SEA

Seahawks' Cooper Kupp: No targets in preseason debut

Kupp started Friday's preseason tilt against the Chiefs, but he did not receive a target during his brief appearance.

Kupp made his official debut with the Seahawks after switching allegiances within the NFC West this past offseason. The veteran superstar had little to do in his one drive of action after Zach Charbonnet (5-45-1) stole the show on the ground. The end of Kupp's tenure with the Rams saw his production dwarfed by injury, with his last 1,000-yard season coming during his MVP run in 2021. The 32-year-old will look for a fresh start while starting opposite Jaxon Smith-Njigba and catching passes from Sam Darnold in 2025.
