  • John Wolford QB | MIN

Vikings' John Wolford: Signs with active roster

The Vikings signed Wolford to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders.

Wolford was elevated to the active roster for Week 13 against the Seahawks as a backup for Max Brosmer in the absence of starter J.J. McCarthy. With McCarthy and Brosmer once again healthy for Week 14, it seems the Vikings organization felt it had a roster spot available to commit to depth in the quarterback room.

  • Jalen Brooks WR | ARI

Cardinals' Jalen Brooks: Elevated for Sunday

The Cardinals elevated Brooks from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

The absence of wide receivers Marvin Harrison (heel), Greg Dortch (chest) and potentially Xavier Weaver (hamstring) give Brooks a huge opportunity in Sunday's contest. The 2023 seventh-rounder was elevated alongside Trent Sherfield to be a starting wide receiver for quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Brooks has received zero targets with only four offensive snaps played this year, but he ended the 2024 season with 12 receptions for 177 yards and a touchdown on 30 targets.

  • Cardinals' Trent Sherfield: Elevated for Week 14

The Cardinals elevated Sherfield from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

With Marvin Harrison (heel) ruled out, Greg Dortch (chest) placed on IR, and Xavier Weaver (hamstring) listed as questionable, Sherfield is in line to be the second wide receiver behind Michael Wilson for Sunday's contest. This marks the 29-year-old's first practice squad elevation of the season, so the Cardinals would be able to elevate him twice more before needing to sign him to the active roster.

  • Falcons' DeMarcco Hellams: Heads to IR

The Falcons placed Hellams (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.

Hellams was unable to practice this week after suffering a hamstring injury in the Falcons' Week 13 loss to the Jets. The third-year pro played in 11 of 12 games for Atlanta, appearing almost exclusively on special teams. The 25-year-old will miss at least four games, with the final week of the regular season against the Saints being the earliest he can return.

  • Lane Johnson OT | PHI

Eagles' Lane Johnson: Not playing vs. Chargers

Johnson (foot) has been ruled out for Philadelphia's matchup versus the Chargers on Monday.

Johnson will miss his third straight game due to the Lisfranc sprain he suffered in the Week 11 win over the Lions. The 35-year-old will aim to return for the Week 15 matchup versus the Raiders, and in his place, Fred Johnson should make another start at right tackle during Monday's game.

  • Noah Brown WR | WAS

Commanders' Noah Brown: Has Week 14 designation removed

After the Commanders activated Brown (groin/knee) from injured reserve Saturday, they removed his designation for Sunday's game in Minnesota.

Brown now is available for his first game action since Week 2 after recovering from dueling groin and knee injuries. He'll be working with QB Jayden Daniels (left elbow), who will be back for the first time since Week 9, but the presence of fellow WRs Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel will make targets tougher to come by for Brown. In 13 regular-season appearances with Washington over the last two campaigns, Brown gathered in 38 of 63 targets for 489 yards and one touchdown.

  • Chris Moore WR | BAL

Chris Moore: Cut loose by Commanders

The Commanders waived Moore on Saturday.

Moore was activated off the practice squad early in the season but has had a minimal role for the Commanders' offense, going without a target in four of the last five games. With fellow wide receiver Noah Brown being activated off injured reserve and both Terry McLaurin and Treylon Burks healthy, the 32-year-old Moore had a diminishing role in the offense.

  • Jalen Mills CB | DET

Texans' Jalen Mills: Signed to active roster

The Texans signed Mills to the active roster from their practice squad Saturday.

Mills had already been elevated the maximum three times, so signing him to the active roster was the only way he could play in another game. The 22-year-old should help provide extra depth at safety, as Jaylen Reed (forearm) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

  • Jaylen Reed SAF | HOU

Texans' Jaylen Reed: Lands on IR

The Texans placed Reed (forearm) on injured reserve Saturday.

Reed will be forced to miss at least four games after breaking a metal plate in his forearm during the team's Week 13 win over the Colts. With the 22-year-old sidelined, Jalen Pitre is expected to shift over to safety alongside Calen Bullock, while Myles Bryant should fill in as the starting slot cornerback.

  • Jalen Carter DT | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Carter: Will not play Monday

The Eagles have ruled out Carter (shoulder) for Week 14.

Carter did not participate in practice this week after undergoing procedures on both of his shoulders Monday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He also reported the third-year pro is currently considered week-to-week and is expected to be ready in time for a possible playoff run. The 24-year-old has 32 tackles (20 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and six pass defenses. Byron Young figures to benefit from Carter's absence, along with defensive tackles Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo.
