  • Patriots' Kindle Vildor: Signed to New England's 53-man roster

The Patriots signed Vildor off the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Evan Lazar of the team's official site reports.

Vildor opted to stay in New England on the practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He's now on the active roster to bolster the Patriots' depth in the secondary, as the team will be without four cornerbacks -- including starting outside corners Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and Carlton Davis (neck) -- for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

  • Patriots' Brenden Schooler: Cleared to make 2026 debut Sunday

The Patriots activated Schooler (back) from injured reserve Saturday, and he does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Schooler has been cleared to make his regular-season debut Sunday after missing the Patriots' first four games while recovering from a back injury. He should see most of his playing time on special teams, though he could also see some snaps on defense given the Patriots' injuries in the secondary.

  • Braden Smith OT | HOU

Texans' Braden Smith: Won't return for Week 5

Smith (foot) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Smith initially drew the questionable tag for Sunday's AFC South tilt, but he's not quite fully recovered from a foot injury that caused him to start the regular season on injured reserve. His next chance to play is Week 6 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Oct. 18.

  • Bills' Davison Igbinosun: Still expected to contribute defensively

Even with Christian Benford (toe) back from injury, Igbinosun is still expected to have a role in the Bills' secondary for Monday's game against the Rams, Nick Suss of ESPN.com reports.

Igbinosun made his first career start against the Patriots in Week 4 due to the absence of Benford, and the former finished with five tackles (three solo) and one pass defense while playing every single defensive snap. Benford and Maxwell Hairston will serve as Buffalo's starting outside cornerbacks Monday, but head coach Joe Brady is committed to having Igbinosun on the field on defense. The Bills' secondary will have their hands full against the lethal wideout duo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

  • Landon Jackson DE | BUF

Bills' Landon Jackson: Questionable for Week 5

Jackson (knee) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Rams, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

Jackson's practice reps were limited due to a knee injury, and his status for Monday's game may not be officially known until the Bills announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. Ed Oliver (knee) has already been ruled out, so DeWayne Carter and Greg Gaines would both be in line for even more defensive snaps if Jackson is not cleared to play.

  • Jaylen Watson CB | LAR

Rams' Jaylen Watson: Good to go vs. Buffalo

Watson (shoulder) does not have an injury designation for Monday's game against the Bills, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Watson will end up missing only one game due to a dislocated shoulder that he sustained against the Broncos in Week 3. Watson will return to his starting role at outside cornerback opposite Trent McDuffie while Josh Wallace reverts to a rotational role.

  • Nate Landman LB | LAR

Rams' Nate Landman: Cleared to play against Buffalo

Landman (shoulder) does not carry an injury designation into Monday night's game against the Bills, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Landman had his practice reps limited due to a shoulder issue, but he avoided an injury tag for MNF after logging a full practice Saturday. The fifth-year pro has 28 tackles (13 solo) and one pass defense through the first four games of the regular season.

  • Quentin Lake SAF | LAR

Rams' Quentin Lake: Questionable, but trending toward playing

Lake (hip) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Bills, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Lake earned the questionable tag after logging a limited session Saturday, but head coach Sean McVay told reporters after practice that the fifth-year safety is "trending in the right direction" for Monday night's game. Emmanuel Forbes and Josh Wallace would see more defensive snaps in the event that Lake is not cleared to play against Buffalo.

  • Julian Neal CB | SEA

Seahawks' Julian Neal: Lands on IR

The Seahawks placed Neal (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Neal was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers due to a hamstring injury, which is severe enough for the rookie third-rounder to warrant a stint on injured reserve. As such, Neal will be forced to miss at least four games, so the earliest he can return is Week 9 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Nov. 8. He's mostly operated on special teams this season, but his absence will also weaken the Seahawks' depth in the secondary.

  • Irvin Charles WR | SEA

Seahawks' Irvin Charles: Staying on injured reserve

Charles (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Charles initially drew the questionable tag for Sunday's game after logging a trio of limited practices, but he's not quite fully recovered from a knee injury that caused him to open the season on IR. His next chance to make his 2026 regular-season debut is Thursday against the Broncos.
